Without meaning to discount the experience of others, I was surprised by the negative reviews about Pacific Medical Group as I have been receiving care here for over a year and have a high opinion of the clinic. I have a wonderful PCP in Dr. Alyusuf and have found the medical receptionists, though often busy, to be consistently polite and willing to go the extra mile to resolve any questions I have. Referrals to specialists are also speedy and accurate. I agree that the phone wait for scheduling can be long, though not always, and there is an option to dial right into the clinic, as well. Maybe I've been fortunate so far, but I feel grateful as a new resident of Tigard to find a wonderful doctor and dedicated staff in a clinic conveniently located nearby. read more

My problems with my now-ex PCP aside, this specific office called me today, 6/25/2026, about a voicemail I left in April 2026. I reached out on 4/02/2026 through the patient portal and did not receive a response until 4/20/2026 (after prompting them again on the 16th). I requested some labs be revised in April, and the office confirmed that they were, and then my "revised" labs were received in June with no changes. The staff has always been kind when I've had appointments, but kindness is not a substitute for consistent and truthful communication. There is no reason for a private healthcare facility to be so understaffed, or to pay their staff so little, that returning a phone call takes two months. read more

The staff here is kind, however visiting and relying on this doctor's office I believe can pose genuine risks to your health. The response time is abysmal, and is sometimes outsourced to outside of the office, meaning frequently you will spend upwards of 30 minutes just to speak to somebody. The advice, treatment options and attention to detail from staff and doctors here is very, very poor. The delays I have experienced in treatment here have caused additional injury, and when I have been able to speak with my doctor he was only able to spend about 5 minutes assessing me, and then of all referred me to an ultrasound, rather than an MRI, which I crucially needed. Having worked in healthcare myself for over ten years, I know you're never going to get the same level of care at a health system connected office than a doctor with a private practice or a naturopathic practitioner. It's never really the providers fault, but the structure they're a part of that leads to overwhelmed staff and appointments so short serious issues or diving into someone's symptoms end up undiagnosed for years and you're in the hospital. I've only been here a couple of times and the experience left much to be desired. A first patient appointment bills more than 400$ to your insurance for 10 minutes or less of face to face time. Not only highway robbery, but not close to enough time to feel comfortable with a provider to discuss your concerns or issues. I have had some more serious concerns to share and they were not addressed during the very first appointment, it was more of an in and out the door ASAP experience, with unhelpful and irritable front desk staff to top it off. Overall, I recommend seeing primary care elsewhere, a private practice if you can ever find one, and supplement with a naturopath to focus on your functional health and aiming for peak energy vs only receiving care when you finally reach a chronic disease. Every appointment I've had with mine has been a full hour with a range of holistic health focus, from mental, to physical, to sleep. That's how healthcare should be. read more

Dr. Winn you shouldn't accused me of being addict to drugs/painkillers when you don't even know me. from the first day I met you, I expressed that I was experiencing pain. You really didn't do much. I was quite surprised that you didn't request my medical records from my previous doctor, as he had been treating me for over 20 years. Both my wife and my dad are both patients with Pacific medical group and are surprised how I was treated. I apologize for seeking painkillers from friends, but I felt my pain wasn't being adequately addressed. I believe my injury was too complicated for DR. WINN. Wow! Just wow! I cannot make an appointment. Am put on hold for up to 20 minutes and I finally just give up. Not just one day, but several days. Also, they never respond to pharmacy requests from my insurance. Just drop them on the floor. I have to call every time to get them to find the request and respond. Sigh. Finding a new provider once I get my surgery over with. I never EVER give negative reviews of places and always try to give positive reviews when possible. But if you ask me, never go here. Sorry Update: I finally got through and when I do manage, they always are very nice. So, upgrading from one start to two. Still, gonna find a new doctor. Where do I begin. I've not had great service at this facility. My primary care physician was there and when I discovered I had a DVT after repeated complaints of pain. After 3 months and minimal follow up he pronounced me cured. That was in June 2008. It is now October 2010 and it is still there (I moved on in September of 2008) but because it had such a long time to build up I'm still dealing with it with another specialist. I feel like I got the proverbial C student as a physician. To add as an insult, this office continued to call me for physical exams until I called them and told them that "we" had broken up and I didn't want to see them again. :) Proceed with caution. read more

This is the worst! Been seeing my PCP here for 1.5 years and I'm fed up. Constant screw ups in my chart. Constant scheduling screw ups. Ever time I've seen my PCP she has this cold uncaring demeanor and just wants to get me in and out as quickly as possibly. Absolutely abysmal service. The front desk staff are inept. The backroom staff are inept. The communication between the front desk and the back of the house staff is ridiculously poor. The doctor's office does not follow up with its patients unless weeks go by. Getting a simple prescription filled is an absolute time suck I've never experienced with any other doctor's office. As an example: For a maintenance medication I've taken for years, I called the front desk after more than a week passed to follow up and ask why the prescription wasn't filled. The front desk couldn't tell me why, said they would send it to 'the back' and ask them. The front desk got the name of the medication wrong when they left a message for 'the back'. The nurse who actually eventually called (a small miracle!) was extremely confused, as if she'd never even seen my chart nor heard of what I was speaking. I had to clarify and explain the entire story again. After another several hours - after days of my scrip not being filled - it eventually found its way to the correct place. By that time I was out of the medication and hadn't taken it for some time. This is a basic, daily activity doctor's offices do. Why was this so difficult!? The pace at which the office operates is extremely slow, one stays on hold for 10s of minutes at a time, their electronic system is light years behind any other medical group's system, they are could care less about the fact that people are running out of medications, can't get appointments, etc., due to THEIR ineptitude. There is no hustle, only apologies time after time the ball is dropped. The nurse my husband was dealing with to get his medication actually went on vacation and gave no reference or out of office memo to anyone, nor did she refer a backup to handle her cases. All her job duties went unfilled, which included asking for authorization for my husband's medication, which he needed immediately. It just had to wait until she got back from vacation! All he got - via email, by the way - was 'I'm sorry I was on vacation.' Your 'sorrys' mean nothing. What would actually mean something is to do the job you're there to do and not put the ball in the patient's court to stay on top of you to do what needs to be done to sustain and maintain his/her own health. This is not just one example, or one person failing to do a job - it is systemic. The entire office needs to be cleared of personnel and started fresh. How dare this office treat their patients' wellbeing so casually. It's the antithesis of the mission those in the healthcare industry follow. read more

This place is horrible. I went twice and had a billing issue both times. The first time I went was January 2019 to establish a new PCP. I called to make an appointment to establish new care & preventative care exam. I was surprised a month later to receive a bill. I called the billing office and was told the appointment was entered into the system incorrectly & I would be stuck with the bill. The last (and final) time I scheduled an appointment here was June 2019. I called to be seen for anxiety while driving related to a car accident a few months prior. When I arrived, I was told they would not see me for this because they had not previously treated me for the car accident. I was told that I could be seen for anxiety while driving but if they put car accident on the bill, my health insurance company would not pay it and if they tried to send the bill to my auto insurance company they also would not pay it. I contacted my auto insurance company and they told me they would have paid that bill. Now I am stuck with finding a new PCP (more money out of my pocket) and delayed care. Please save yourself time, money, and a headache and go anywhere else. read more

If there was a minus star, the Pacific Medical Group would get it. I was (still am) looking for a regular physician. I was told that I had an appointment with a doctor and was seen by a rude assistant and a nurse practitioner who I had to prod through the process. After answering 50 questions, I realized that if I was not willing to get a total physical, with x-rays and a MRI, they had no interest in me. I had a full physical, including blood work less than 3 months ago! Please people, we all not all covered by super insurance that will pay for all of your unneccesary procedures. One other thing, the assistant who told me to "follow her" to the room needs to practice her people skills. read more

A few weeks ago, I posted a pretty negative review of the Tigard Pacific Medical Group clinic. They now have a new physician, Dr. Goebel, whom I saw for my annual physical November 2019. He is very good, and has taken up a lot of the patient load that had the other doctors so overwhelmed for so long. My wait time was very short, the desk personnel were quick in helping me, Dr. Goebel took plenty of time with my exam, and everything went very well. No complaints this time. read more

The only reason that this is one star and not zero is because the medical staff, i.e. doctors, nurse practitioners, nurses, are actually great. I have been a patient at PMG Tigard since 2004, and I have always received quality medical care. The problem is with the front desk. They appear to be understaffed and overworked. They check-in patients while taking calls for appointments, all at the same time. This leaves both patients in the lobby as well as on the phone waiting for very long periods. Since patients in the lobby get priority treatment, which I agree with, then those on the phone get shafted. The vast majority of front desk personnel have been nice. In the past 17 years only once was a front desk person rude to me. She still works there as of today (2021-02-19). But, since that one time, she never was rude to me again. She is just a little cold, but that seems to be her personality. Maybe, she had a bad day during that one day that she was rude. That is ok with me. Anyway, the point of the one star is hopefully to provide feedback to PMG management to help the front desk personnel in order to provide better customer service. read more

I wish I could give them no stars. Been a patient for over 10 years. My provider retired recently and I have a small balance with the clinic; however, I am in need of blood pressure medication refill. Do you know they cancelled me from the clinic and now I am left without my required medication. Called and try to speak to them and all they care about is the money, as if I never paid off my other balances. They can careless if I drop dead or have a stroke. It is not about the care and welfare of the patient, but the money. However, they claim to be patient centered. It should say, 'unless we get our money'. I would not recommend!!! read more

Worse clinic I've been to. Can't manage prescription at all. I'm constantly in battle with them to contact my mail order pharmacy when a prescription renewal is needed. I asked them once to call the insurance company so that I could get a renewal and the front desk person refused saying that's not how we do it. Well I told her the way you are doing it now isn't working. Every renewal is a battle and i have to call Pacific Medical Group to ask them to please respond to my online pharmacy provider. read more

Worst medical office! I have been going there for years...YEARS...not sure why....Most of the Dr's are nice, but, my GP is smug and arrogant. HORRIBLE! If i could i would give this group a negative rating. I called yesterday to ask if my near death reaction to a type of antibiotic would in any way jeopardize me to taking the covid-19 injection" When you go to sign up for this shot they say to ask your physician if you have had any allergies to injections. My physician refuses to give me an answer as to the question after phone tag for two days. Today the assistant calls me back after i again reach out for an answer - and she tells me they need to have me come in for a physical before giving me any answers as it has been to long since they saw me. She is listed as my primary care doctor. They are the ones who originally diagnosed my reaction to the drug. Nothing but phone tag and wanting the money for a physical is what they offer.. zero care for one of their patients. Everytime you call Pacific Medical Group in Tigard, the first thing you hear is "can I put you on hold" and then sure enough you will be on hold whether you like it or not. The front desk is definitely overworked and miserable. I was a patient there for 6 years until Dr Rember retired. She was great but unfortunately was never replaced. Same thing about to happen when Dr Hortsch retires in August 2018. My husband was told he'll have to see the nurse practitioner. If Pacific Medical Group want to survive they need to recruit more admin and a few new doctors. Tigard needs more family doctors. read more

I have never received poor treatment or rudeness from anyone at PMG, so I went in with a "Skeptical" attitude to see if anything changed from what I've experienced for the past 20 plus years there. This was my dr office for about 2 years. The only good thing I can say is that if you need a same/next day appointment, they seem to find a way to fit you in. Front desk staff look over worked and miserable at all times. Not a pleasant place to visit. They never call you back. Have been a patient of PMG for decades and always find the staff interested in my health. Now that we take Covid precautions PMG has virtual and phone appointments that work well for me. If needed they will schedule an office visit filled with precautions to safeguard my health and the safety of their staff. Over these 8 months I have visited the office 4 times and have not had any symptoms from visiting...and I love their smiles. read more

I go to Pacific Medical on Pacific highway in Tigard. The first of the week, I had my pharmacy contact them to renew one of my regular prescriptions. Yesterday I found out they had not received the authorization. Today I called and asked to have a message given to my doctor to please do that, as I am about to run out. The woman who took my call was extremely short with me, interrupting me multiple times, and then she informed me in a rude manner that the approval was sent out to my pharmacy yesterday afternoon, and to check with them. I like my doctor but the front always seems extremely short staffed, which one employee confirmed with me on a previous phone call. In any case, there is no excuse for the shortness and rudeness. I have been considering changing doctors for a long time only because of this. Providence Bridgeport is always very easy to deal with when I take my aunt over there and have been very helpful in other ways as well. Unfortunately I can't review the actual service provided by this clinic, because I had to go to the ER for possible stroke and was told to follow up with a doc at this clinic in a week. I couldn't get an appt b/c that doc is retiring. So they were going to try to get me in with someone else - but they told me they don't treat patients with chronic pain (which I have). Maybe they're gun-shy about prescribing "drugs"...but if someone there made some mistake in the past, why do patients have to pay the price for that? Whatever the reason is, refusing to treat patients with chronic pain is a refusal to provide medical care, as far as I'm concerned. Even if I didn't have chronic pain, just knowing they operate this way makes them a poor "medical" clinic. read more

For the clinic location in Tigard, the PT and receptionist that I worked with me was wonderful. However the Corporate Admin Office at 503-797-225 located on Centerpointe Drive was awful. There was a mistake in billing and I did not receive anything in the mall or a call until Feb. I spoke with the Office Manager Sasha and she was completely useless, incompetent and could not solve any issues from a customer service standpoint. She sent me to her boss Linda Kennedy where I have left 3 voicemails and never had a call back. In the mean time from March 2nd when I spoke to Shasha and May 31 they continued issue re-billing charges as I was trying to get someone to care and call me back from the Admin Office. So I had double fees and no one calling me back to take my payment and listen to my concerns with the customer service issues in the billing department. I will now be finding a new PT. Do not come here for care. The billing and lack of response from Managers at the Admin Office is not worth it. Also, PT Staff, I suggest you find a new office to work with. You are affecting your career and earning ability with Pacific Medical Group. read more

Been seeing Dr. McCann for just short of a year. Originally, I came in as a new patient of his, after I was in a bad multi-vehicle car accident. He has been so great, that I decided to start seeing him for unrelated health concerns as well. I recently moved to Oahu, however, so I'm so sorry to say that I will have to find a replacement for him on the island.... I'm actually really bummed about this because it's more difficult than it should be in this day n age, to find a great dr who truly listens, shows genuine concern, bc really does everything possible to help.... Avoid this place! 1.) The place is disgusting. Once I walked in I realized it was going to be bad. 2.) The front desk was rude and clearly did not care. 3.) though I was the only one in the waiting room my appointment was over an hour late. 4.) The Doctor really said little and seem very disinterested. 5.) I went in for a first time visit and instead of charging for an office visit they charged for a full physical. I did not get a physical, but they charged me for one which was not covered by my insurance. 6.) I have a health condition(thyroid) that requires meds daily and they only gave me a one month prescription requiring me to come in again. Even after they charged for a full physical. 7.) when I tried to call and talk with them about why they charged for a physical they instantly got defensive and hostile. I had the worst care at Pacific health care in Tigard. I was diagnosed with bronchitis and the cough medicine they prescribed does not work for me. I had been prescribed a medicine in the past several times that did work. But this time for some reason they wouldn't prescribe it. They treated me like I was a drug addict. The truth is I hate narcotic drugs bit the one they wouldn't prescribe is the only thing that works for me. After two days and ten phone calls (the doctors wouldn't talk to me, only the receptionist) they told me to try honey! Honey for bronchitis. I will never again use this clinic and will tell everyone I know about my bad experience there. They are quacks! read more

Almost never get any help we have seen several of the different doctors here and regardless of what is going on almost no treatment always a referral we have had answers Like " this is clearly "" but you'll need to go see () " Then we pay another copayment and get meds or a brace or whatever. After 6 yrs of herniated disc displaced hip and other injury they wouldn't sign for a temporary disabled permit but charged a fee then sent my wife to her ortho for signature . read more

I saw this place had bad reviews but didn't know how bad it was until I went there myself. First time I went the staff was rude, and proceeded to overcharge me for my co-pay. I then noticed and thought I had figured it out with them as they said they would refund me, and they never ended up doing so. Came back for a follow up appointment and told them they hadn't refunded me, so they said they would put it toward the next copay and I payed the difference. A few weeks later I get another overcharged co-pay bill and call them and ask what it's for and they say I haven't payed my copay. They will not remove this charge off my account. The doctor I saw (Allison Pfeffer) ordered an extremely unnecessary and invasive procedure that a later doctor I saw said was absolutely not necessary, that I also later received a massive bill for. All in all, horrific experience here, none of the staff know what they're doing, I hope you think twice before EVER booking an appointment here. read more
