Providence Express Care Orenco - It's uncomfortable for me to have Ashleigh think this review is funny and for her to lie to security that I've screamed at her.

Actually, I bet they would be just as amazing no matter what the circumstance is. And if you must bring 4 loud, funny people with you, this is ok. Keely and Kelly have the best attitudes and could dish as well as take. They made me feel comfortable when I was apprehensive about being judged (I'm too old to behave this way !), and so kind, understanding and gentle with my wound. Next time I'm in Portland and have tooooo many I know where to go! Haha

At 8am, a front desk worker opened the door and informed me the provider was running late due to traffic and something about other clinics being closed. She said she would bring me back when he arrived, and closed and locked the door, leaving me to wait outside. 10 mins later she opened the door again and said he wouldn't arrive until 8:20-8:30 and she would update my appt and that I could go to the coffee shop next door. She would not let me wait inside the clinic. She said she would call me when he arrived. I went to wait in my car. At 8:35am I went back to the clinic and the door was locked. She came to the door and said the provider was still not there and I asked to use the bathroom. When I was finished she escorted me out, again not letting me wait in the clinic. I told her I had a 9am work meeting and she offered to reschedule me. I said no, and went back to wait in my car. At 8:45 I decided enough was enough and tried to call clinic and cancel as I didn't want to walk back over there from the parking lot. The number routed to the main patient service office and I told them what was happening. The man was very nice and very surprised. He put me on hold and called the clinic. When he came back on the line, he told me they said they informed me of the situation and that the provider was coming from Newberg because the some clinics were closed. What difference does that make? We all have GPS and we all know what time we need to be places - not to mention AT AN URGENT CARE CLINIC. I asked him to please cancel and I would go to the ER. The clinic called me at 8:51am and told me the provider had arrived. I told them I had cancelled through patient services and she said I was still on the schedule. I told her no, I do not want to see anyone as this experience has been unacceptable. I'm betting they send me a no-show fee. DO NOT GO HERE under ANY circumstances.

They provide services for people traveling abroad, ID consults, and specialist referred for those with chronic infectious diseases such as the Hep's, HIV, and others. After more than a few visits I feel compelled to call them out. The Good: diverse group of doctors at practice, part of the Providence system, appointments not hard to get, office accessible via elevators and handicap-enabled parking garages, exam rooms clean and comfortable. The Bad: some of the non-MD staff desperately past the need for retirement and cannot effectively function in a modern, technological-heavy office setting. The do not communicate well within their office and do even worse when having to call outside their setting. They do not know how to properly manage their own medical data systems (EPIC, principally) and have the gall to tell patients not to use the system since they themselves can't handle it. This causes patients to suffer while the staff tries to circumvent the system they are supposed to be using. The Worst: only two of the doctors (Cover and Marfori) can be considered physicians. One of the other doctors named Tobias Pusch should not be seeing patients at all but rather be locked far away from people. He is very young, undauntedly arrogant, prone to fits of temper, doesn't care for many parts of his job, temperamentally unable to admit any errors, and does not actually wish to provide continuity of care for patients. He is not qualified to treat patients who need more than a shot for overseas travel or a simple issue, though he would certainly think in his deluded, youthful, inexperienced way that he is qualified to do anything. Classic case of inexperience, hot air & ego trumping minimal standards of clinical practice. It is unfortunate he is allowed to practice without supervision or monitoring as he is causing unnecessary suffering to who-knows-how many people. If you need a travel clinic or ID services, you're probably better off going to Providence Portland or another facility. At the rate the clinic at St. Vincent's is going it will probably be shut down soon or disbanded.

If you read Dr. Pusch's qualifications & medical background you will see he is not only qualified, but highly intelligent! The other review said he was arrogant. I didn't get this feeling at all. In fact, I feel he is the most down to earth & caring doctor that I dealt with at this clinic! I had suffered with Clostridium Difficile for almost two years. I had a fecal matter transplant on 12/21/17 & was allowed a consult with Dr. Pusch prior to my procedure. He answered all of the questions that I had. This is such a complicated field, however, Dr. Pusch's way of explaining was easy to understand. He made me feel completely comfortable about the procedure. I met with one other physician at this clinic & spoke with two others over the phone & I have to say that I felt Dr. Pusch was the most professional. I am so thankful to Providence Infectious Disease for not only saving my life, but greatly improving the quality of it, as well!
