DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH THIS COMPANY!!! They do incredibly sloppy work, are extremely careless and will not cover damage caused by their installers. Also, expect to be ghosted if you're told someone will call you back to discuss issues caused by the installation team. SHORT VERSION: The installation team banged up my brand new kitchen cabinets by slamming their equipment and quartz slabs into multiple cabinets -- resulting in large dents, gashes and scratches all over the place. They also messed up the measurements for one of the pieces of quarts and got adhesive all over another cabinet. They refuse to take any responsibility for the damage they caused and will not call me back to discuss options. LONG VERSION: I purchased a kitchen through Ikea and Pacific NW Marble & Granite was their preferred installer for the countertops. Of course you're not provided with this information upfront, which makes it impossible to do any research on the company doing the actual work. If I had been able to read some reviews first, then I would have immediately jumped ship and gone with a different company, because they have a reputation for damaging customers property and refusing to take responsibility. Also, do not let them rush you through signing off on job completion before they leave. I was just told to sign and initial to confirm that the countertops were installed. He was really quick about it and rushed me through signing like he was trying to get out the door -- probably because he knew they damaged my brand new kitchen cabinets and wanted to get out before I noticed. I barely even had a chance to look at the countertops before he rushed out the door. As soon as he walked out the door I went in the kitchen to get a more thorough look at the countertops and noticed the cabinets were all dented and scratched. I immediately ran out to try and flag him down before he left and he drove off as I was running out the door waving my arms. END RESULT: Several of my brand new cabinets, which were in flawless condition right before they showed up, got dented and scratched from their equipment and from rolling and lifting the countertops. They even got glue all over one of the cabinets. I called the company right after the installers left to let them know about the damage, and they were making excuses before even seeing pics of the damage -- saying it was probably a manufacturers defect with the cabinets, which is probably the most laughable excuse I can think of. It was pretty obvious that this is a common excuse they provide for damage caused by their installers. I sent pics and of course they responded only a few minutes later with the same excuse. When I told them that is not acceptable and that I wanted to talk to someone who could make this right, I was told that a supervisor would call me back. Of course, after several weeks and numerous follow up calls, the supervisor never actually called back. This is also a pretty common theme if you read through some of the reviews on this company. They'll also tell you to call the retailer, who will only refer you back to Pacific NW Marble & Granite. You basically just end up in this infinite loop of passing off the blame. Rather than accepting responsibility like any decent company would do, or even entertaining the possibility that their installers caused damage, they rudely tried to shift the blame back on me. They clearly do not care, and the sad part is, that they don't need to care because most of their business comes from contracts through big box retailers like Lowes and Ikea. They're provided with a continuous stream of clueless customers who have no idea who will be doing the installation until after they purchase their countertops -- at which point it's too late. The customer has no recourse if they mess something up, because unlike typical contractors who take a 50% deposit upfront and then the remaining payment once the work is completed to customer satisfaction -- they are paid the full amount up front, so they could care less since they already have the full payment. So now I'm stuck having to repurchasing several cabinet doors, drawer fronts and even a full side panel due to the carelessness of their installation crew -- not to mention that one of the pieces of quartz is misaligned. This company's utter disregard for their customers and unwillingness to take ownership for their mistakes is simply pathetic. Basically, if you hire this company to do any work for you, expect them to come in and tear up your personal property and do sloppy work -- then flip you the bird when you ask them to make it right. My recommendation to anyone who is considering doing business with Pacific NW Marble & Granite is to run away as fast as you can. Find a different company with a consistent track record of customer satisfaction, and do not pay any money without doing research on the actual installer. read more

We purchased our counter via Ikea with PNW Marble & Granite where the stone would come from and who would do the installation. When the gentleman came out to do the measurements he did so with a laser. At the time he commented how he missed the stick method but everything was moving to computers. Over 4 weeks later when the install team arrived, 3 out of the pieces were found to be cut incorrectly. The installed our 2 island pieces but had to take back the 3 pieces that were our L shaped counter/sink section. The sink cut out didn't match what we had and the seam on the longer stretch wasn't sitting on the cabinet joints. As these are Ikea cabinets, it is known that joint NEED to be at cabinet seams since there are only 2 very thin, weak braces holding the cabinets square...and this company REGULARLY works with Ikea counter installs. The install team made new stick templates, making note of where seams needed to be. Jennifer them told them to let us know we were looking at 4 weeks for them to get new stone in. As we are hosting a 60th birthday party here in the 26th, that was not acceptable. We called Ikea and magically they could be out in 4 days with the new pieces. Install team arrives here today and the sink piece is perfect...HOWEVER, the other 2 pieces are the same pieces they had last time, which means the seam has not been recut to lay on the cabinet joints. When I called Jennifer back I was given an excuse that the glue will be enough to hold it, and that if we refuse installation, they will call Ikea and let them know we refused a good install. She KNOWS we are in a position with the party so they are doing an install that WILL fail. I've let Ikea local know AND I've called Ikea Corporate. From bad to worse... Hired PNW M&G through our general contractor because they were one of the only fabricators in town who said they were confident they could fabricate our countertop without a seam. Christina was brash and unfriendly but we dealt with her curt responses because ultimately we were just looking for a good end result. The week of the install, they sent a message through our general contractor that they were unable to fabricate without a seam. Then they rescheduled the install date. Here is the kicker - when they did come - the installers were rushed and sloppy. They got epoxy glue on the sides of the cabinets and on the countertop itself. They didn't admit it at first but when I stepped out of the room they took a razor blade to try to scratch it off the countertop. When I pointed it out - they just shrugged. Long story short - 1) over promised and under delivered on the seam, 2) added $2k to project costs to refinished and repaint the cabinets from the glue damage 3) brash customer service. read more

We did not book directly with Pacific NW Marble & Granite - our flooring and cabinet contractor booked our job. Honestly, it was probably the only part of the condo remodel that has gone completely as planned. The guys were on time and professional. There were a couple small items that needed to be addressed, like the need to cut into the window trim at one point to fit the backsplash. At another point, they had to join two small backsplash slabs together, and you would never know there was a seam. I've included some pictures... please understand that the unit is still under remodel - but try to focus on the fabulous countertops. We worked with PNW Marble & Granite through Lowe's, and there were issues from start to finish. I would summarize my experience as such: they were careless, had poor communication between teams, and delivered below expectations every step of the way. It must be nice when everyone is so desperate to have home projects done that you can treat your customers like garbage and still have plenty of business. First, when they came to tear out the existing countertops, their workers damaged our floors (in reading the other reviews, this sounds common), and my contact immediately replied with our contract where it showed this was Not Their Problem (this will be a common theme throughout my experience). Next, the day before they came to install they didn't have a long enough slab, so I had to agree to two pieces with a seam. Our slab needed to be 123" and they could only secure a 120" slab. Again, no choice in the matter, we're just screwed. Not Their Problem. When the crews arrived, they were missing a piece to go over the window sill that I had repeatedly mentioned to Lowe's and to the tear out crew. No apologies from them, no admission of mistake and it was over a week (and lots of fighting with Lowe's and these guys) before they finally installed the missing piece. Oh, by the way, they don't install a replacement trim piece above the dishwasher. I still haven't figured out how to handle that. Not Their Problem. Two months later, and the quartz chips a hole about an inch in diameter from a very minor hit to the countertop. Again, they are ready with the paperwork which clearly notes that this is Not Their Problem. To fix it, they demanded $250 paid upfront and it would be over 3 weeks before they could send anyone out. I found a guy on Craigslist that fixed it a few days later for $200. Overall, I'm glad we have quartz countertops, but I would never, ever work with this company again, and I recommend you avoid them at all costs, too. read more

Pacific NW recently fabricated and installed a quartz countertop on our large bathroom vanity. When they installed the countertop, the matching backsplashes fit poorly. The measurements taken weeks earlier hadn't been extensive enough or done accurately for the complexities of our old house. Given the obviousness of the problem, the crew offered to re-measure and produce new backsplash pieces within a few weeks. We were happy to wait to have the problem corrected. Do yourself a favor - do not use Pacific NW Marble and Granite for your countertop installation. We ordered Silestone countertops for our kitchen through a big box retailer, they hired the subcontractor Pac NW M & G. The demo went great - those guys deserve more than 1 star actually. Everthing went downhill after that. Despite having 2 weeks to fabricate and get ready to install, they delayed installation multiple times, leaving us with no kitchen for 3 weeks. After fighting to get on the schedule, they were then a no-show for the install appointment. After finally showing up at our house at 6:30pm on a Friday evening (for a promised new arrival window of 3-5pm) they worked noisily and condescendingly in our home and front yard until my husband asked them to leave at 11pm. When they came back again on Saturday morning, they still didn't have what was needed and their supervisor who had promised to check in was completely MIA. Fabrication of pieces was incomplete, incorrect, and done partially onsite in our front yard (contrary to City Laws); installation is terrible - countertops are not aligned & off-center, seams are in the wrong location, incompletely joined and off kilter; edges were cut incorrect and chewed up by saw in places. They did not even complete the project (dishwasher not connected to countertop, brackets not installed on bar, etc.). Big Box employee was even at our house on Day 2 of install to oversee the work since the installers' supervisor went missing. She was well aware of the issues and took our side, she and my husband both argued with the install team and told them they were not doing things correctly. Installers blew them off and lied and said Silestone materials were warped and causing the issue. Big Box employee assured us that Big Box would make it right and acknowledged issues. She even stayed and cleaned up since the installers left our kitchen a complete mess with glue all over the place. After the fact, her managers took over and now are acting like we can just have them come back out with a caulking gun and fix it. So 3 weeks later we're left fighting with Big Box to do the right thing and take care of the issues. They have made multiple promises to make it right and they simply are doing nothing. Our kitchen is a wreck and there is no end in sight. Save yourself the headache and chose someone else. read more

Delaying many more remodels I had lined up and would cancel last minute. Also tried to charge me more for their mistake for measuring multiple times. Once the counter was finally installed my house was a mess and had white paint/plaster all over my floor that took me hours to clean up. As I write this, it's been a month and a half, and we are still dealing with the unfixed damages from our counter installation. The original crew spilled and walked all over our brand new hardwood floors with some sort of epoxy -- and the floors weren't even finished being installed in the rest of the house. No drop cloths or paper were put down for the job. The installers also did a slop job of the seams and caulking, and they dinged up our new cabinets. For over a week, we were stressed and wringing our hands over our ruined floors and the rest of the mess. A crew finally came out and was able to clean up the mess on the floors and top-fill the seams, but these guys broke the drawer pulls in one of our brand new cabinet drawers. Sheesh. This entire experience has been one problem after another, not to mention many phone calls -- and a lot of phone calls and follow up returned by Pacific NW Marble and Granite. I was told by an acquaintance in the contractor's world to not speak to anyone but the owner, Greg Holland (sp?), but I could never reach him. They offered me $200 for my troubles, to which I had to scoff. The amount of time, stress and headache was worth way more than $200. Their final offer for compensation was $500, which is basically a 10% discount on the job. I consider this inadequate. We still have a broken drawer and haven't heard from anyone in a week. There should be more like a 25-40% discount to compensate for the elongated headache. Had we not done the job through IKEA, we probably wouldn't have had to pay the full amount upfront, in which case I wouldn't have paid the full amount at all. The thing with IKEA is you pay in full, then Pacific NW Marble and Granite can throw up their hands and say, "Our hands are tied because we are operating through IKEA." Then the IKEA people can deflect any appeal to them by saying, "Oh, you have to take up any issues with Pacific NW Marble and Granite." Basically, they are both insulated by the process. In conclusion, I would advise getting counters installed that are not paid in full up front. Then you can at least hold on to compensation until the job is done and done correctly. We had nothing but a good experience with Pacific NW Marble & Granite, they were actually the only contractors on our kitchen remodel that came through 100%. Our quartz counters were cut and installed perfectly on the first try, and any seams between slabs are nearly invisible. The installers Keith R and Mike C were courteous and did a killer job with the install. I would definitely use Pacific NW Marble & Granite again, but the hell if I'm going to be doing any more kitchen remodels anytime soon. read more

Countertops purchased through IKEA in June 2021 and we were required to partner with Pacific NW Marble & Granite for install. Day before Pacific NW was scheduled to install, they called to say they couldn't fit all three of our pieces on the two slabs they had, so we would need to add a seam in the middle of one of our countertops. That wasn't what we purchased or agreed to and couldn't be supported by our cabinets that way, so we requested they reach out to IKEA to get approval for a third slab to align with what we had purchased. Pacific NW said it would take a little time to do that, but that they would come to install the other countertops as planned the next day and would come back at a later date with the third countertop once they got the extra slab. When the crew arrived, they said one of the countertops they brought with them was cut too small (there was a significant gap on both sides) and they said it was beyond the threshold of acceptable, so they would take it back to be fixed and would plan to install it when they came back with the third piece. So only 1 piece was installed that day. When we hadn't heard from Pacific NW after several weeks, we called asking about the two pieces we were waiting on and the lady we spoke with had no record of the second piece that the crew said was too small. We had to send her pictures of the gaps and had to relay what the crew said about taking it back to be fixed. She blamed us for the delay in returning to install the missing countertops because we didn't want a seam. Forget the fact that we didn't pay to have a seam and she waited until the day before install to even raise the issue with us. She said the crew would come back to install the two missing pieces. A couple weeks later, the crew came back but only had one countertop with them (they didn't have the too small / recut piece with them as promised). A third crew finally came back two weeks later to install the last piece (note that it is now October, 4 months after we they originally came out to template) and it was clear it was the same piece as the first failed install (not recut, still way too small). The crew was very apologetic because it was clearly too small and not acceptable per their standards. They did their best to patch the gaps on the sides with caulk, but as you can see from the pictures, the gaps are significant and obvious. Unfortunately, two of the three crews also failed to caulk the back of the counter where the countertop meets the wall so there are just open gaps in those places. We relayed these concerns again to Pacific NW and we were told she would escalate to her supervisor. It has now been two weeks and despite multiple follow ups on our end, we have not heard anything from Pacific NW. They are completely unresponsive. We resorted to filing a BBB complaint. We have relayed our complaint to IKEA and highly discourage anyone from working with Pacific NW. The amount of time we spent waiting for ultimately an extremely poor quality install, combined with the complete lack of responsiveness / customer support and customer blaming has been astonishing. I have been trying to get counters done for 2 months, first install was a nightmare, broke the granite and had a horrible seam, second install tried to blame a a bad "plug" as a fill from the quarry and attempted to repair only making the bad spot from a 1/2" to a 5" dull spot,third attempt, 10 minutes of all three installers in the trailer before bringing in first section of counter with an obvious crack and glue still on it and even after asking if they made a repair attempt was told that they were getting the silicone off of the sink, which was already in the kitchen, we have been assured that there would be inspections done each step of the way and still received a damaged product. We have had to fight and ask for answers every step of the way only to receive deception and deflection. Now I have no counters and no idea what is next! Don't return calls, texts or emails! I used Lowes for granite counter install. I'll cut to the chase- PNW M&G has the worst service and their Portland crew is TERRIBLE. My counters were installed in Dec, and they completely messed up by bar top, messed up the overhang, left and didn't make sure my stove would fit, and it has taken me 4 months and 2 rejected pieces to get the bar top corrected. I've had to call EVERYTIME to get any movement, not one manager has called me to apologize, I had to call Lowes to get anyone to call me. Now another piece needs to be replaced because it doesn't match up on the other side of the stove, they know about this and won't address this.. There is terrible quality control, customer service is terrible. This is my 3rd remodel, and my second w/ Lowes, and this is the WORST contractor EVER. I'm not going to write a novel, but all they need to do is reach out to me, correct the issues, do the right thing, and I'll go away! But until then avoid this contractor!! Pacific NW Marble and Granite company was the most pleasant company to work with during our extensive home remodeling project. All the employees were courteous, demonstrated strong communication skills, efficient, always on time, exceptionally conscientious in making sure all our desires were met, worked hard and was very careful to make sure everything was correct. The end result was perfection. Our backsplash was the same material as the counters with black and gray veins. Whoever cut the slab for the backsplash did an incredible job of selecting the most advantageous section of the piece because the vein placement is centered and very good looking. Our backsplash, in fact, looks better than the promotional photos Caesarstone has provided in their catalog. There were never any surprises or mishaps. McKaila Egan, sales and project manager was very patient with us, we never felt rushed. She always made herself available to us. She answered all our questions and gave us information that we had not even considered. Mckaila was very good at quickly responding to all my emails. We had Emmanuel and his crew install the countertops. Ricardo and his crew installed the backsplash. Everyone was always on time and they left the site clean. They were all courteous, professional, worked hard and highly skilled. It was a true pleasure hiring and working with this company. read more

We ordered over 60 square feet of Quartz counter tops from Lowe's. Five weeks later, after many discussions and lots of disappointment, our counter tops were finally re-installed completely and correctly thanks to the superior customer service provided Jenna at Lowes. She was very professional, attentive and sincere in making sure we were ultimately satisfied with our purchase. Unfortunately, the counter top subcontractor (Pacific NW Marble & Granite), provided little to no communication, they seemingly "forgot" to schedule our installation on the promised date and then did a horrendous, very unprofessional installation job (sink was installed crooked with messy caulking all over the stainless steel, seams were uneven and sloppy with gaps, there was glue and pencil marks all over, a chip in the material and the counter tops were glued down in only one spot!). Of course the subcontractor was unresponsive to "fix" the problems, wouldn't even return our calls. Thankfully, Lowe's stepped in and made them come to look at the situation, their foreman/owner Jason at PNWMG said he'd seen much worse installations, and tried to blame us for choosing the wrong color and sink! After about a week of going back and forth, Lowe's managed to get the subcontractor to send their most experienced team to correct the problems, they did a good job. read more

I work in sales for a living and I cannot believe someone would treat a potential customer with cash ready to hire with such disrespect. I'm sorry Bob that I'm not working on a multi million dollar job that's going to allow you to just sit back, collect and do nothing. When you call I suggest you choose a different option than 1 that goes to Bob, there may be a better sales person waiting and eager to assist you. I have never worked with such an incompetent company before. They have made more than 8 trips to complete re measure, reorder or fix cabinets they haven broken. These people are the worst just run....I can't even enjoy my countertops with all the mess they have made. No one knows what they are doing. We did not directly book Pacific NW Marble & Granite - they were contracted through our cabinet contractor to install our quartz countertops in the kitchen and bathroom. Both measurement and installers called 30 mins before their arrival time and arrived on time during the window they gave. At both appointments they were extremely attentive to details and asked verifying questions to make sure all the angles and seams were exactly where I wanted them to be. They double measured everything to make sure our stove would fit in and re-sanded edges to make sure everything was spot on. We had purchased an additional piece of granite for a hearth that was beautiful. We actually hadn't seen this before as we weren't too particular, but they did a great job. When we decided we actually wanted it raised a bit to the floor, they even installed the thin-set to make sure it was installed perfectly. Our cabinet installer was also pleased with their work. Nothing but great things to say about all of it. read more

This is the worst company I have ever dealt with. The first quartz they installed was flawed. After 8 months of getting the WORST customer service (no return calls, given the run-around, misinformation, etc.), they finally agreed to replace the counter tops. They came in, tore out the kitchen, damaged the cabinets and incorrectly cut the quartz--did not match the template at all! Another week without a kitchen, they came with yet another slab. It is installed now, but the sink cut out does not match the sink! I am so over these people, so I will live with the poor sink cut out (although after the money we spent, that is infuriating!) Also, I will deal with my cabinet company directly in regards to the damage and they will bill PNWM&G. This is a very poorly run company from the top down. If I could give them a zero I would. I had a home remodel last year and was sexually harassed by the person who did the templating for my countertop. The man told me he "couldn't help if I didn't know how to have a good time" when I asked why he put zip ties next to the paperwork that I needed to sign. He then left them sprinkled in my driveway. The crew who came to do the install refused to tell me their names and kept telling me different names. The work was done poorly, and they left a mess. When I spoke with the manager, I received a feeble apology because he "has a wife and wouldn't want her spoken to that way." They did nothing to make it right beyond a feeble apology. At my daughter's, who also had her countertops and backsplash done, they did not level island top, did not clean off all remains of old backsplash. Also did not put in piece to reattach dishwasher. Never did anyone from the company come out and look at poor workmanship, call to apologize or offer any adjustment in price. Nothing with a remodel seems to go smoothly. Our experience with pacific nw marble & granite fits into that generalization, BUT when they had installed the incorrect color of counters, they quickly remedied the mistake. For the amount of money that we have spent on these countertops, you would think that they would hire professional, knowledgeable installers. 1st, we have under mount sinks that arn't even flush with the counter tops. Our half bath counter top has now been installed for the 3rd time. It took them 2 weeks to even start our countertops, they came and measured 2 times, including the sinks, and they are still not right. The 1st install, we had all the hardware in the cabinets under each perspective sink. The dual sinks had 4 inch faucets and the 1/2 bath had an eight inch faucet. The installer was advised by our general contractor that the faucets were under the perspective sinks. Yet he still proceeded to drill holes for a 4inch faucet in the half bath and wonderered why I didn't like it.. So then, we decided that it needed to be returned and fixed, and it was installed with plugged/glued pieces into the holes they drilled. We didn't even get a new countertop. Who wants a $1500 counter top with glued plugs that stand out like a soar thumb? We were told at that time that it was not a priority so we would need to wait an additional 2 weeks in hopes that they may get to it.. "They have other jobs to do" he said, "that take priority".. We are now on our 3rd install into the half bath, now, we have a countertop that is 3/8 inch gap from the wall at one end only.. Mind you, it wasn't there in the 1st counter top that they attempted to install. Then we were told, "sorry, your wall is not plum, if we fix it, it will have a very thin end of the counter top".. We ordered them with the backsplash that went up the back and the sides as well. I mean really.. I have contertops that were not measured to fit, I have sinks that are not flush with the counter top, there are gaps underneath the counter butting up to the undermount sinks, and I still don't have a working sink in the half back. Our remodel started 3 weeks before Christmas 2017..I will NEVER go through them again! I never dreamed that I was paying Rodeo Dr prices for Kmart quality. So for anyone considering new countertops, I do not recommend Pacific NW Marble & Granite. They were the sub-contractor on our kitchen remodel. The sink opening is off by 2 inches. In order to get the sink to fit, we had to trim part of the base cabinet. Our center island seating area overhang is short by 3/4". For the kind of money spent on quarts countertops and have this piss pore quality I cannot recommend them. I met with a couple of their managers and they recognize there was an issue, but because they were the sub their was nothing they could do. On top of all of this, their scheduling sucks. They will only give you a 2 days' notice when they will be on site for measuring or installation. Most people need more time than that to schedule time away from work. When they contacted me for my measuring appointment, they had it scheduled when I was going to be on an airplane. And they never contacted me to see if this date and time would work.
