PDX Custom Woodwork ruined our house and wasted our time and money. We spent $62k for them to spend 6 months demoing and painting. We didn't hear from Lina for at least 3 months of this, only the occasional text from Manuel. Even at their best, they rarely communicated with us and it was like pulling teeth to find out what amounts of materials WE had to order, including our own carpet/padding and tile cement, which is not standard. They also never visited the site or had a project manager overseeing the work being done. We had to beg them to come to the property and that still only produced a monthly visit, at best. Their workers came mainly on weekends so it's clear they were prioritizing many newer projects over ours. Ultimately, they barely completed $20k in work- of which, none of those projects were totally finished- and have done about THREE TIMES that amount in DAMAGES to our property, bringing the total to around $100-120k. They gave us half our kitchen cabinet doors three months ago then kept telling us the rest were on the way. Though all of the built-ins we hired them to redo were demolished, they never fabricated the new ones. We paid for all our flooring materials ourselves, which is not an industry standard, and they had the audacity to ruin them FOUR times. We shouldn't have given them the benefit of the doubt when they said they'd fix it. The patterned carpet was cut at an angle on every single piece and they ripped up carpet in places they shouldnt have, leaving us to buy and replace even more of it. Their "painters" got paint on multiple stained wood doors (including the front door and sidelights) that we were keeping, as well as every kitchen appliance including inside our garbage disposal, and in ALL of our brand new outlets and on the light switches. They also ripped a knob off of our oven range, dented all the doors on our new fridge, covered our kitchen chandelier and living room ceiling fan with paint and damaged our brand new fireplace that they were supposed to wrap in stone for us. They washed their brushes in our bathroom sink and left paint in rooms not being renovated. They made changes to another contractor's city-permitted work between inspections, and without telling us even when we were on site. We had to correct them on measurements multiple times because they couldn't do it accurately themselves. This was maybe 1/4th of the work we wanted to bid from them. We wanted to be repeat customers, do bigger renovations, and go the long haul, but Lina and Manuel made it impossible. Our home has been unusable for half a year with nothing to show for it. Most of the work, including the over-sprayed paint job, will need to be redone, because it's spotty, has rough texture and the ceiling got the wall/cabinet paint on it in multiple areas. They didn't even seal our tile or countertops, which were the only things we thought they had completed, but didn't. Instead, we have to now file a complaint and hire new contractors, that know what they are doing this time, to finish the job.

Picture of the seams and how loose they are. Pathetic

I had another piece made for the short wall behind the cabinets and I asked them to leave it until I lowered the wall and added new backsplash. Finally finished it all this year and a BGCC team returned to install it. These gentlemen took such pride in their work to compensate for the short wall having been built not level. By the time they completed their work the top was level and the finish work looked great. I'm so very grateful for their efforts! This is such an easy company to recommend to others. Thank you!

Norman, Sharon, Wen, and Ian are exceptional--not just in their craftsmanship, but as people. They are some of the kindest and most genuine individuals we've had the pleasure of working with. They care deeply about what they do, and it shows in both the quality of their work and their reliability and responsiveness. The way they treat their clients is truly next level. They are consistently on time, dependable, and deliver beautiful results. Norman has an incredible eye for selections, and I really enjoyed learning from him about cabinetry craftsmanship. Since this was our first home remodel, we leaned on his advice often--and many of his suggestions ended up shaping our home in the best way. Throughout the entire process, they went above and beyond. Anytime we had a vision, we could call Norman and the team, and they would find a way to bring it to life. Norman would come out, take measurements, and make it happen. When I wanted a custom bookcase, they absolutely delivered. That level of dedication and follow-through is rare. Wen also played a huge role throughout our remodel. From answering every question to supporting us through the final stages, he was incredibly kind, patient, and present the entire time. The customer service we experienced was outstanding, and the quality of the materials, custom cabinetry, and installation exceeded our expectations. You won't regret working with this team. It's rare to find people who care this much about their craft and their clients. We're incredibly grateful to them for showing us what true excellence looks like.

Throughout the entire process, our expectations were consistently exceeded. Working with their designer, Kelsey, was so easy -- she was able to quickly & precisely modify drawings, provide additional details, and work with other trades (e.g. plumber & electrician that needed exact measurements). The installation team, Aaron & Mike, were top-notch: they showed up on time, were great guys to be with, and best of all are really master woodworkers. The painting team, led by John, were amazing with the quality of caulking and painting being second to none (to my surprise the cabinets were installed as bare wood, and then caulked, finished and painted in place; however, the taping, masking, screening, etc. for over-spray were excellent with zero problems). And at the end of each day, Peter would send an email with photos of the work-in-process, outlining the day's accomplishments and work schedule for the next day. Really remarkable customer service and attention to detail. We looked at many alternatives for kitchen cabinets -- from do it yourself to completely outsourced. Pacific Northwest was the best value we found, and certainly the best to work with. I can honestly say Peter and his team are one of the best businesses I've had the pleasure of ever working with!

I needed a custom breakfast nook built in our condo to accommodate the needs of our growing family. I shopped around a LOT and got a wide range of estimates, ideas and time frames, none of which suited our budget or needs. (Not to mention, very few contractors had examples of their work to look over.) Fortunately, I stumbled upon TrimLogic and was impressed with the pictures posted and his reviews. Craig replied to my inquiry immediately and was able to provide a reasonable estimate (especially considering the level of his work). I had a very specific idea of what I wanted and he was able to work with my design and improve it! He added the little details that really made this piece shine like matching the moulding, add little extras, installing soft shut hinges and appropriate finishes. He convinced me to stain the bench top to match my cabinets and leave the base and wainscotting white. What a brilliant idea! The bench visually flows into my kitchen cabinets without overwhelming the area with all white or all wood. He thought of all the things that I didn't even know I should be concerned about. Craig was a very respectful of my family and home during the installation process. The majority of the bench build and painting/staining occurred offsite. This meant less mess, noise and smell in my house. Craig arrived on time (or would text me if running late) and he always cleaned up every day! He was conscious to protect our walls, hardwood floor and even the outdoor area where he worked. He even worked around my toddler's nap schedule and kept the noise to a minimum during that time. I don't need to sit here and describe the quality and beauty of his work. You can see & read this for yourself in the pictures and reviews on Yelp, Facebook and his website. I really appreciated his communication promptness; he always responded to me immediately. Also, he managed his time and budget extremely well. He gave us an installation date (and length of time) and did not run over nor did he underestimate his budget. Finally, he took pride in his work and his company and made sure the process and end product lived up to his standards. My only warning? Act fast ... he books up quickly!! Thank you Craig and TrimLogic for our beautiful breakfast nook. We can now all sit down together for dinners and connect as a family. You can't put a price on that!

They took our existing unfinished basement and converted it into a brand new space that we love complete with a combo half bath/laundry room and family/office space. We had shopped around for a number of design-build firms and contractors and ultimately decided to go with Lamont because we liked the portfolio of work that we saw, they had good reviews, a clean CCB history, and being design-build would help us control the budget better. A few reasons we felt our project went well and we would recommend Lamont: * They were very good project managers. There are a lot of different little pieces (design, permitting, managing contractors, timelines, etc) to manage with a remodel project and we didn't want to have to manage it ourselves. They handled all these pieces and just pulled us in for key decisions. Nikki and Matt helped immensely with the up-front estimating and design to help us create a great space with our budget in mind. * The end quality of our basement is wonderful! Caleb and Steve did an amazing job every single day to make sure each piece was done correctly and to a high quality standard. They asked our opinion on exact finishes and found ways to up the design of the space when we got down to the nitty gritty. For example, we were second guessing our trim design decision on the windows in the plan a couple days before it was set to go in. We talked with Caleb and showed him our Pinterest board of window trim treatments to get his thoughts. He was excited to see our ideas and said he could make it happen, but it would require a change order. We were prepared for the change order since it was pretty last minute, but the next day Caleb came back with a great idea that wouldn't require the change order. He realized he had enough leftover material from the laundry shelf to make sills for the windows in the same style that we wanted! You can tell he cares about his craft and making things as good as they can be. * The project finished on time to the day. We have always heard about projects running wildly over so we were very pleased that the space was ready on the day they said it would be. * We had a small plumbing issue arise about 2 months after construction completed, but we called Lamont and they resolved the issue quickly and without any hassle. Overall, we were really happy with how it turned out and were kinda sad to not have Steve and Caleb around every day after the project was done, lol.

As my husband and I had just picked up an order from Senor Taco and were backing out of our parking spot, headed toward the intersection, a Tesla with a Lamont Bros wrap all over it came just centimeters from crashing into our car at 30mph! The most reckless driving in a parking lot I've ever seen. Seriously could have killed someone. Thank god there wasn't someone trying to get across the lot at that moment as people frequently do in parking lots... the driver of this car laughed about the interaction as he walked into the 7-11. Tall, white, skinny, semi gray/black hair. Looked about 50 years old. Whoever owns this business I urge you to look into who is representing your company. As a lifetime resident of West Linn and a homeowner, I will never be looking into Lamont Bros for any work on my home due to this unfortunate experience.
