If you're looking for customized fortune cookies that actually taste good - this is the place! I have a friend who lives around the corner from this business and for the life of me, cannot remember the name! So I have resorted to calling her to find out what is around her corner. The name and owners have changed but the location remains the same (I had ordered cookies here many years ago but it wasn't HPC - I believe it was Kona Paradise then). I am assuming the past owners sold the lot and business. The storefront is confusing as hell and but parking is easy (assuming there are no other customers other than you). There is no signage to indicate that there is an actual business until you are actually at the store's front door. This is located on school street - next to the Chevron gas station. Like I said, no signage but look for a house with a wide open carport - park there and ring the doorbell. The interior of HPC has changed from what I remembered it to be. Gone are the displays of candy, cookies and samples and in it's place is a tiny, makeshift room with a sofa, coffee table and a few shelves with product. I called my order in and emailed back and forth with the owner (I'm sorry to say that I've forgotten the name). But the rapport was completely professional and even when I made changes to the fortune cookie insert I was assured that those changes would be implemented. I did I not have to come in to pay or place a deposit for my order but was simply told, "oh, you can pay for your order when you pick it up." That's unheard of for many businesses that deal with customized orders. I loved it since it saved me a trip to town. I had ordered 50 chocolate covered fortune cookies with a personalized message inside. It was $1.50 each for the order and although I know I can get it cheaper at other places, the cookies here are tastier and slightly bigger than those cheaper ones. Each fortune cookie was wrapped individually in clear plastic bags with their logo on it. I'm sure if I had the time to be creative, I could've asked them not to seal the bags and I could've tied it with a coordinating color that compliments the event but since I was pressed for time I went with their packaging all together. The cookie was a huge hit at this event since it was a giveaway/treat at a Chinese Restaurant for a private party. Loved the customer service and the product! Will definitely be bringing my business back here many times in the future. read more

Their chocolate-dipped spam Spam Jam 2019 exclusives were kind of gross and expensive. A bag of 5 half-slices of spam that aren't even fully dipped in chocolate was $5 and they tasted like a rawhide dog chew treat dipped in chocolate. I guess if you want to kill your dog (chocolate in high doses can be lethal to dogs), this would be the way it would want to go. 1 star. Update: ran into some people who had also bought some but were afraid of it, lol. OTOH, their butters and jams are good. 5 stars. At Spam Jam their booth had samples of all of them (but not of the chocolate-dipped spam - maybe they knew no one would want to buy them if they tasted them, lmao). My favorites are the lilikoi (passionfruit) butter and Kona coffee butter. The jams are good but I don't mind living with the Hawaiian Sun lilikoi jam I can get back home. Wish we could get the pineapple jam at home too. 1 plus 5 divided by 2 is a 3 but that weights a single limited run item too high so they can have a 4. It was awesome of them to provide all those samples. It encouraged me to buy more as I wasn't afraid of getting a whole jar of something I ended up not liking. I can't comment on the quality -- though it looks great -- I went through the whole process of ordering my dad a gift basket, only at the very end to discover that you can only do check or money order to order online. I am sure its great -- but hoping no one else wastes 15 minutes like I did setting up an order only to discover at the very end that you have to mail a check or money order to them before they will process an online order, which makes an online order -- particularly from the mainland -- impossible and pointless. read more

I ordered 60 chocolate dipped fortune cookies customized for my dads 60th birthday party. The cookies are pretty big and taste delicious. The price is awesome. It came out to about $130 for 60 customized cookies which is way cheaper than going to big island candies or Honolulu cookie company. The service is very helpful and efficient. They reply to emails in a couple of days and make the process painless and easy. Planning a party or wedding can be stressful so the little things can make a huge difference. They are a bit hard to find but I use google maps for everything due to my lack of direction so I suggest you do the same. They told us a couple months because the party is in December. Instead of going to the store to place the order, I went on their website! It was so quick and easy. 120 pieces each of the fortune cookie, wafers, and oreo cookies. Dang they were all good. I called to make sure they received the payment after we sent the check in the mail and two days prior to pick up I also confirmed that the order would be ready for pick-up. I was on Yelp searching for something personalized in addition to cupcakes for my nephew's birthday and stumbled upon this place. I went through their pictures and thought the giant fortune cookie was perfect! I put in an order online and they emailed me the next day asking questions to make sure they prepared exactly what I wanted. They gave me their hours of operation for pick up, but I failed to tell my other half picking up for me. He showed up an hour before opening and the store was obviously locked. They could've easily turned him away or ignored him until opening, but they opened the door, inconvenienced themselves and prepared the cookie for him right away.
