This is the worst place ever. We ordered a snake from them. We paid price plus shipping. They then wanted 350.00 for a security deposit for the transportation company. We then got an email that the snake was with animal control at the Denver airport and we needed to pay 400.00 to release the snake from their care. Then we got an email stating that we needed 250.00 for an all city permit. We paid all of these fees. Then they asked for 495.00 stating that the owner had to be here to sign papers to give us ownership, which we did not pay. They are not getting any more money from us. read more

Long over due review but better late than never! I used Pacific pet transfer back in March coming down to Sicily for my two dogs. Honestly one of the best decision I have ever made. Super easy and simple. Our agent Ryan was amazing!!! She made everything ready and simple especially for some one who was 4 months pregnant.aldo the agent out here Annamarie was the sweetest giving all the information about my dogs arrival in Germany took pictures of my pups for me to let me know or they were safe and sound. In January of 2012, I contacted Pacific Pet Transport by email and had asked for an quote on shipping my Persian cat "Boomer" to Dubai, where my wife and I were scheduled to move on the first of April. I received an estimate of $2800 after which seemed a bit high but fair nonetheless. The services included by Pacific Pet Transport were to be, pick up from my home, airfare, import permit, and customs clearance at DXB airport in Dubai. My cat "Boomer" was already up to date on his vaccinations according to the list of requirements for entry into Dubai emailed to me by Pacific Pet Transport. All was going fairly well up until three days before our scheduled flight departure. I was contacted by Pacific Pet Transport to let me know that they had not applied for the import permit as was originally planned for them to do. They admitted it was their oversight. This meant that my cat was not eligible to fly for another two and a half weeks at least! I was told there was no way to workaround this problem and that they were sorry. My cat would simply have to be left behind until he was eligible to be exported. My wife and I were devastated as it was already too late to cancel our flight tickets. I ended up flying over to Dubai on my own as my new job was starting and I could not wait two more weeks in the states. My wife stayed home with our cat and had to cancel her flight which we had already paid for and could not get a refund on. Finally, two weeks later, my cat and my wife finally made it safely to Dubai. We had asked Pacific Pet Transport for some sort of discount for all of our troubles but they declined stating that "the cat was successively relocated." This was not an acceptable answer to my request and all other contact with the company have gone unanswered. Whoop there it is!!!! Whoop (here) it is.... I can't say ENOUGH good things about this company!!!! If you read my previous post, I was looking for a somewhat local company that would help fly/assist my dog on a solo trip to Europe. I always fly with him, but our circumstances changed and my lil (ahem, not so little) English bulldog needed to make the journey alone from Cali to Central Europe. Needless to say I was a bit panicked. Dogs that weigh over 15 lbs need to travel in the cargo area below the plane. Since I have a breed of dog that airlines HATE to work with (due to their breathing problems and sensitivity to the elements hot/cold etc...) I had to find the friendliest and most efficient company I could that I would trust to take on such a huge responsibility. (Truth we told, I have a lot of horror stories that range from dog kennels being smashed (thanks Swiss Air) to finding out that people gave my dog peanuts in route and his kennel was FULL of vomit when I finally saw him hours later!!!) We chose this company because the customer service was comparable to none. We (my parents had to help with the correspondence) got loads of emails and our calls were always returned promptly. They also helped us the paperwork/health advice/documentation!! We struggled with the price initially (since it's quite expensive for the dog to fly alone, opposed to flying with the owner which is approx the price of an extra suitcase). So they worked with us, told us how we could save some Benjamins, by taking the dog to the airport instead of having a courier do it for example. They were so incredibly helpful and really went the extra mile to meet our needs. They also recommended that we fly with Lufthansa, which is probably the most dog-friendly airline I've EVER come across! Thanks to Pacific Pet Transport my dog was VERY well taken of. I couldn't say thank you enough for the first successful international trip he has ever had!!! read more

Unbelievably unprofessional and rude staff. Gave a completely unreasonable quote after quoting less only a week earlier, and when I called to query this and said we had more competitive quotes I was told by Dan "why don't you go with a cheaper company then? Thats the price, take it or leave it". I asked to speak to Josh, the manager and was told he was busy then I hear shouting in the background "tell her thats it, take it or leave it" from James - THE OWNER! I'm so shocked - charging thousands of dollars for a service you expect to be speaking to professionals - not a bunch of rude and unethical people barely qualified to answer the phone. The way that I generally describe the service is as 1) failure to provide critical information at all and 2) providing inaccurate information when they did provide any information at all. I would not let these ________ walk my pets across the street. Luis is the worst, he did not return calls or texts and never gave any information on the process. Even the Vet was concerned about the dogs. The day I delivered the dogs to a so called pet resort Luis was almost 2 hours late. Once there he took them to a cage in what looked like the boiler room in a WW2 submarine. I kept asking for assurance that the dogs would leave that evening, he said yes but I was rightfully concerned, as surprise there was something wrong with their papers. We found this out a couple days later. By the time the dogs got on a flight it was a week later. My daughter was so stressed she was sick. I requested some type of compensation but was told since the trip was completed they could not give a refund. I call Bull shit. read more

I am very pleased with their service. I am moved to UK and they sent my Frenchy after me. They did every work for us. Picked up my dog from my friend's house, do all the medical exam, all paper work, they provided and professionally set up his crate. When I picked up Bruce from LHR I didn't had to anything. All custom work was cleared. I just had to hug and love my baby. I am so thankful for Victor and Leslie for this smooth transfer and they managed everything within 2 weeks!!! What's more amazing - that human beings have landed on the moon, or the unfathomable quality of service at Pacific Pet Transport? I'm not sure. I'd say it's a real toss-up between the two, even going so far as to say that PacPet's service edges out the moon landings. After some terrible service and repeated misinformation from a large airline, I called PacPet for help. Josh and Nathan were calm, cool, and competent. If our presidential elections were determined solely by intimate knowledge of arcane regulations on importing pets into the UK, surely these two would win a landslide victory. How could any mere mortal make sense of the EU requirements on taking your dog there? Methinks that only someone of superhuman intelligence and experience could do so. How Pacific Pet Transport has brought together the most kind, helpful, and knowledgeable pet transporters in the galaxy, I haven't the slightest idea. But they have done it. These guys were fantastic. I will recommend them to everyone I know. One day, this company will make for case studies in bestselling books on customer service and business success. They helped me to navigate the VERY murky waters of importing a dog into the EU, even while dealing with an asinine airline. I give my heartiest recommendation and sincerest accolades! read more

Leslie is the best! She clearly enjoys her job because she is fantastic! She helped get our Springer Spaniel and Boston Terrier from The States to New Zealand and this is not easy to do. The dogs had to fly separately and do quarantine separately due to breed restrictions. Leslie coordinated this flawlessly so all we had to do was take the dogs to the vet for their vaccines. She scheduled each of their pickups to the airport as well, so all we had to do was pick them up when they got to New Zealand. We were given multiple photos along the way so we knew how our girls were doing. Excellent service! Thank you so much! read more

I contacted Pacific Pet after the company I was originally working with went out of business weeks before my pet was supposed to fly from Florida to Australia. As I was organising his travel from Australia, I was super stressed trying to fix everything from the other side of the world! James eased my worries by personally talking me through what I could do to get my pet to me with minimal trouble. As it turned out, the original company hadn't done a number of things they told me they did (and I paid for). Luis and Angel were great and organised getting everything done properly with ease. They were happy to take calls out of office hours (because of the time difference) when I was worried about anything or had any questions. Luis was very attentive when I contacted him via email. After all of the tears and stress caused by the first company, Pacific Pet turned my experience around - see profile pic of the day I finally took my Taz home :) I wish I went with them in the first place! I was very impressed with our Pet Relocation Counselor, Ryan. James quickly put us in touch with Ryan to help send our dog to LHR within about 2 weeks of travel. Ryan was incredibly responsive- even throughout the weekends. Ryan, and various departments within the company, did their best to minimize any errors that might occur at the vets and USDA. Yes, you pay slightly more for their service, but I would say it is worth it. I can't imagine how much more stressed I would have been if I did not have Ryan's guidance. Our dog flew on the same flight (United Airlines) as us. Once we arrived in LHR, I was increasingly stressed as we waited for an update about our dog. We chose to wait in the airport instead of the reception center, as we would have had to pick up our rental car earlier (resulting in taking it back earlier the following day). I received an email from Ryan that my dog's original health certificate and paperwork were not found - only the copies. Given that the original documents must be there to check the animal in - the documents must have been misplaced after check-in to United Airlines Cargo. Because the original documents were missing, we had to wait for a HARC vet to issue her a pet passport. The entire mishap appeared to take 8 hours to resolve. This was complicated because of the time zone difference. Ryan was up all night waiting to hear back from United Cargo and the reception team at LHR. She sent us information whenever she was updated. I would have prefered the reception team contact us directly instead of going through Ryan. PacPet did pay for the pet passport - although I'm pretty sure it was United Airlines fault for misplacing [or sending the wrong] documents. In the end, our dog came out of the reception center as if nothing had happened. She even got back in her crate when they brought it out. We will need to ship her back to the US when we move in a couple years. If Ryan is still working at the company, I would reach out to them - and their UK team without hesitation. read more

Are your pets important to you? I imagine they are if you're considering a pet transport service. Our two pups are the most important things in our lives, and it's critical that they are in the best hands to get them from A to B. Firstly, Johanna and Angel are very, very nice. Perhaps a bit overwhelmed based on response time, but understandable given the level of care they are no doubt providing (Maybe understaffed? Hard to tell). You know who's not nice or helpful? James (the owner). Yikes. You can read similar reviews on here, but our limited experience with him was negative, to say the least. C'mon, man - you're in a service industry. Anyway, for anyone reading this, there are plenty of other similar services out there with nice, kind, understanding owners. Do yourself and your pups a favor and go with someone else. We are. Just before Christmas, my best friend in the world passed away unexpectedly. It was a horrible and sudden tragedy that threw myself, her family, and everyone who knew her into a tailspin. When I was asked to take her little corgi, Pepper, home with me, I felt relieved to have that piece of her spirit coming home with me... and riddled with anxiety at the thought of having to get Pepper to Boston. After a number of failed plan ideas, I found Pacific Pet Transport. And thank god I did. First of all, they were enormously patient with my questions and requests. I'm not normally a demanding or difficult person, but in the immediate aftermath of grief and the added stress of needing this dog to get across the country safely (I had read a number of horror stories about dogs who die or had to be put down after flying)... I was a bit of a panic and sadness ridden stress ball. But Josh and Nathan were so kind and so patient, explaining every aspect of how their operation works, what was on offer, etc. They took care of EVERYTHING. I had to fly to Florida for Christmas, then back up to Boston, and they were able to go pick her up from the house of my friend who was watching her, get her the health certificate, crate, etc that she needed, get her to her flight... I was so grateful when I got to the cargo pick up and found Pepper, happy as a clam, excited to see me. So I must say, shipping a pet is never going to be easy, per se, but this was as easy as it could possibly get, particularly given the incredibly painful and stressful situation The (very reasonable, in my opinion) price tag was well worth it. read more

We used Pacific Pet Transport to help us get our two dogs and two cats to London! When we first were offered to be relocated to the UK, the immediate question that popped into my mind was the welfare of my pets. I started googling 'pet travel' and was getting more and more concerned. Our relocation company had worked with Pacific Pet many times in the past and wholeheartedly recommended them. I thought 'well, they may be okay with them, but let's see how I end up feeling about them.' In short, they did a fantastic job. My primary contact was Nathan who was very prompt , professional, and personable. He knows pet relocation inside and out and made me feel like my pets really were being watched out for. The closer the day came to when they'd be traveling, the more nervous I became, but Nathan continued to calmly and professionally answer my questions and assuage my fears as much as possible. A man named MIguel picked up all four of them and he was incredibly friendly and had a very warm presence. He offered to provide me with an update after he took them to the airport (a process that takes several hours) and I spoke to him wtice afterwards. I was so happy that he followed up and made me feel at ease. 21 hours later, the pets arrived in the UK and it was almost like they had never traveled! They were relieved to see us, but were in great shape, health, etc. When we move back to the US in a few years, there is NO other company that we would use. I recently moved my two pugs from Los Angeles to Singapore. This was a terrifying and daunting task but with Pacific Pet Transport I knew they were in good hands. I first got quotes from various companies and many were twice the price of Pacific Pet Transport. All companies do the same thing the extra cost was just going to be for some verbal hand holding that everything was ok. Honestly Nate at PPT was thorough, helpful, responsive and professional. That is all I needed to know they were in good hands. Fluff isn't helpful, facts are. PPT took us through every step and helped with the process at every turn. Nate even worked directly with our vet when we had to go to Singapore before the pets came due to quarantine delays. I can't recommend them enough. Our experience with Pacific Pet Transport (PPT) was good but not excellent. We needed a company to help with a relocation from the US to Finland. In terms of the "hard data," PPT got our pets to Finland safe and sound, and for that we are very grateful. The paperwork involved in such a move is complicated and time consuming. The staff was generally aware of the various regulations involved, though on one occasion involving a particular form we had to request that a different form be used. We had to fly our pets "commercially" (i.e., unaccompanied), but they initially gave us the "non-commercial" form. Overall, however, the staff was very professional, helpful, and generally quick to respond to our inquiries. For instance, on a number of occasions, our case manager had to be away from the office; but he provided us with contact information for his colleague who fielded our questions. A problem did arise, however, about one week after we (and the dogs) arrived in Finland. Our case manager contacted us, indicating that he had made a roughly $700 miscalculation on our estimate. He never demanded money from us at all; he simply pointed out the error, in hopes of recovering some of his companies losses. He also included the company president in this discussion. Needless to say, we found this request to be shockingly unprofessional. We indicated as much to the president To the president's credit, however, he handled this situation with professionalism and grace. He assured us that the situation would be handled internally and that our file was "closed." Overall, then, we think it is fair to evaluate this company with a "3." I can't thank the team at Pacific Pet Transport enough. We moved from LA to Spain with our ill-behaved 60lb dog, talk about stress. They took care of everything from sending the paperwork to the vet to contracting with a company in Spain to do the customs work on the other end. They even found us a direct flight to Madrid so our baby didn't have to spend a government required 8+ hour stop in another county. He got to Spain safe and sound and the company that they contracted with there were just a friendly. Johanna even made sure to check in with us to make sure everything went well! I had arranged for Pacific Pets to handle the layover in LA for my two cats flying from Brisbane, Australia to Houston. Big mistake. The pee pad that had been put in their kennel was full of urine and feces and Pac Pets never removed them and left those cats sitting in urine for the layover after the 24 hours they had already been in the kennels full of urine for the flight. Pac Pets sent my cats on to Houston for an additional four hours to sit for a total of 40 hours in urine and feces. It is truly animal cruelty. I would not use them to ship anything - not even a snake. I heard so many excuses. "One of the cats was hostile." "We thought you would be sentimental about a foam rubber pee pad." "We did remove it for one of the cats (not true)"....etc. I am trying to figure a way to report this company for animal cruelty. read more

We were very anxious about relocating our cats Molli and Sunny from the UK to San Francisco but our minds were put at ease by the collaborative service provided by PetAir UK and Pacific Pet Transport. We were kept updated from the minute they were picked up in the UK by PetAir UK plus we could track them getting on their flight in the UK and their arrival in San Francisco. Any potential problems arising (one of our cats is a Bengal) with their entry into the US were highlighted in advance by Pacific Pet Transport and dealt with quickly and efficiently, such that on arrival at San Francisco Airport, their processing through Customs was quick. Overall, this service meant that our cats were relocated with minimal distress to them. In fact, we have been pleasantly surprised by how well they have settled into their new home. If I could give them lower than 1 star their process of shipping my dogs would be warranted. I had all vaccines complete, export sign off from a vet, all they had to do was get authorization from the department of Agriculture in Guam and make a flight reservation for my 2 dogs. In the weeks that it took them to do that their health certificate expired and I was paying for a kennel. I finally got fed up with their excuses and called Department of Agriculture myself and found out that they had just been waiting for the flight reservation from Pac Pet. Then without contacting me they shipped both of my dogs in a different kennels after they had already been cleared by airline cargo people and kept my kennels one of which was a brand new CR-82 military collapsible kennel that I had just spent $500 on. Upon contacting them about the kennels they had a very flip attitude about how I could just use the one they sent if I wanted. I would have paid cargo to get at least the one kennel shipped to me. I wouldn't recommend them EVER! read more

This company started off very good and then it went down hill terribly fast. We arranged a cat to be picked up from an international flight into LA going onto Phoenix. I paid over 1000.00 for this flight and I understand It included transfers and customs and it also included feeding, giving water and cleaning the cage. So maybe the cost is ok I have never shipped an animal before. Well the flight to PHX was three hours late. They blamed the airline but I did not get a call from anyone until 1 1/2 hours after the original flight was to take off. The cat sat in LA for ten hours. That is unacceptable. What made it worse was the service to pay for cleaning did not happen. The cage was a complete mess and the stench was awful. I can't believe they let this animal sit in filth. Not sure if he was even given food and fresh water. This I will never know. All I got was I will check on the cleaning of the cage and two days later no reply. I will do my research on other companies if I ever need to have a pet transferred. Shame on you for letting this animal go through such unnecessary torment and giving us additional stress over an already stressful event. read more

I was shocked at the indifference from the ataff at this company. Time for action was running critically short and I repeatedly asked the young man to process our paperwork. After repeated delays. I asked him if there was a local Firm he could suggest that might be able to help me with processing. This hurt his feelings and he refused to speak with me. Issue? I was taking a Service Dog and could not get them to get paperwork completed and to the vet. I had to cancel,the flight (could not fly without the dog), costing me thousands of dollars. Owner offered to do us a favor by working with hm. Too late. We already had to cancel our flight because we had no idea if the paperwork would actually get completed in time and many reaervations could not be cancelled or moved. Just a little note to pet owners out there, after my last surreal experience with Pac Pet last week, i have avoided them like the plague, and have since had my faith in pet travel specialists restored, after speaking to an absolute Gentelman called John at 'Pet Relocation', he was so professional and beyond helpful, and reminded me of how it used to be at Pac Pet yrs. ago. He actually told me that his rates were a little bit high, (but I'm certain well worth the money) he even apologised that i had to be spoken to like that by anyone! and was even kind enough to refer me to 'Pet Express' located in san Francisco, where i think he used to work? yet again....the people there could not have been nicer. They are kind and helpful and obviously love animals, they put me at ease right away, and worked happily with me to get the best quote (lower than Pac Pet) and Itemised everything, as one would expect at almost $3000. I think most people would want to know exactly what they are paying for? However....they required a cert. which Pac Pet had on file, so when i called Pac Pet today, to ask them if they could forward my dogs info.The same lady again answered the phone, she was pleasant and put me on hold, then the Owner James (the one i never got to actually speak to) grunted something resembling "yeah"? at me, i stated that i was on hold for the girl who answered, his response in an angry voice was "well you've got me now"! I began to ask if they could fax a copy to pet express, and was (as appears to be the norm at Pac Pet) he began to shout and verbally abuse me, apparently because I shared my horrific experience on Yelp? James.....do some research buddy, Yelp was created for the very purpose of helping consumers make it known when they receive beyond appalling treatment from businesses, I have the right to let people know about the treatment i received!! He then accused me of slander.... Really James? (Its not slander if it's the TRUTH!) and then screamed something at me about a friend of his who is Irish (as am I) had to call the police because i was a F...ing something??? He ranted on and on, punctuated only by F bombs every few seconds, then hung up on me? James, I hope you get the help you need! First of all, just to be clear...i have Never had the Miss Fortune to have actually met anyone from Pac Pet in person, especially some low life irish acquaintance of yours, who apparently has about as much class as you do? What kind of Business Owner talks to a female client in this manner? Needless to say, I was unable to get my pet's file from Pac Pet, but luckily, I am now in the hands of Professionals, who happily took the initiative, and contacted my old Vet, and received a copy of the necessary document!! Well, as the old English Idiom Goes ..."what can you expect from a hog..... but a Grunt"! There ARE professional Pet Relocates out there folks....my advice is 'keep looking'! Incidently.....thanks to Pac Pet's delays at getting back to me initially, they're disgraceful treatment of me, and just leaving me hanging a week before travel, I have had the additional costs of having to change my return flight to the UK, and pay for two weeks extra accommodation , to give my new Pet Travel co. long enough to do all the paperwork required for a new client! read more

Angel spent a lot of time making sure that every steps of the process had been done correctly to ensure a smooth transit. He has been very helpful throughout the whole time.
