My wife had a procedure at the Pacific Sports and Spine Surgery Center on Beverly Street today and the staff & doctor were exceptional. The anesthesiologist was great. In particular, RN Michelle was wonderful and very knowledgeable. She helped calm our nerves before the procedure. Front office people were also very nice. But Michelle really stood out. Glad we met her. I'd recommend this place to anyone needing pain management experts. read more

I have never dealt with a billing department that is so screwed up. A year ago I had a procedure. Upon my return for a follow up, the doctor told me that the injection had been one in the wrong area and I would need to have it done in the correct place. The 1st one was so excrutiatingly painful. Dispite this mistake they still chose to bill my insurance company and myself. After numerous phone calls I found someone who I thought could help me and in last conversation she said that my bill balance was zero. Thought that this had been taken care of but 7 months later I get a phone call telling me that I owed almost $300. I asked for a bill which I received. Seems like there is an error once again. I called the number that I got the call from asking for Emily, she said that she never called me. As of now I have tried to contact the original person to help me, but had to leave a phone number. I reviewed this clinic, probably a year ago. The physical therapy I received was overall fi, however, repeated visits just meant adding more exercises to the mix. Ultimately, I chose to keep with my home exercise program only those exercises that I really feel benefited me. The new ones I would be offered were just a variation on the same old ones. The reason why my rating has gone down is because it turned out that I was being overcharged for my co-pays at each visit, by $15. Some glitch in their computers, not speaking to each other or something about the proper co-pay. Once I saw the error, I reached out to their billing office to get that resolution which meant I had a refund of over $85 owed me. Apparently the PT office versus the billing office were not communicating at all, and they made me prove via copies of my canceled checks that I had actually paid a $35 co-pay instead of $20. It took over eight months to get that resolved and get a refund. In that time, The person I was speaking with at the billing office would keep saying: "oh I have to check with my supervisor and see what she says." Weeks would go by without communication so I would have to pick up the ball again... I finally I got my refund and believe me it was not hardly worth it. I have never been treated so poorly with such a complete lack of communication and I should never have had to prove my payments. Love my Dr.....but billing dept a nightmare. There are errors but can't get resolution as no on answers phone. In almost two weeks I have phone 22 times and get VM. Initially spoke w nice man who said it looked like an error but needed to phone back. He said he was director and the other person would have to access a different system. This bill is 10 months old from January 2025. We have seen nothing previously. No statement showing anything outstanding. I have left 3 voicemail messages since that initial contact and no one phones back. Being over charged $700 is problematic. Worst customer service billing dept ever. Last year had to contact billing ax there wasn't a way to pay my bill noted on statement. Reached a nice lady who too info over phone. She was working from her home in Idaho (I'm in Oregon). But at least payment was made. This new business department is the worst. Fear an outstanding bill of that amount can affect my credit and I don't dare pay and hope for refund. The doctors seem really good and the location is nice. However The doctor orders an injection but for some reason it takes like 2 months or more for the insurance to approve it. By then either a person has gone nuts from the pain or it got better. This happened to me three times. When it was better I didn't want to get an injection anymore. I know dealing with insurance is very frustrating and taxing for all physicians and nurses but I think there should be more staff set up to immediately run these pre-authorizations through because people are in pain. I see there are other reviews and other people had similar problems. I just couldn't believe how long the wait was when I was in extreme and I mean extreme pain when I just wanted it fixed or any thing to help it. read more

I've had two separate referrals sent here this year, one from my PCP and one from my neurologist. For both, I had to call Pacific Sports and Spine multiple times after weeks of silence to hear back on the fate of either referral. The first referral resulted in me being told that they do not do medication management, which seems contradicted by their phone tree itself. I was told the second referral was declined by the doctors and received no explanation for that. My partner's phone number was blocked after he called to try to ask why the referral was declined and was repeatedly sent to voicemail without ever speaking to anyone. I have no idea how the doctors themselves are, and I try not to review medical things without seeing the doctors, but it seems like there's a very low chance of getting that far. Their physical therapists at their other location have been great, though. Worth noting. read more

had work done there. keep getting bills from them so i paid only after almost a year of paying i questioned how not paid off, after 3 weeks of calling multiple times leaving messages getting really pissed , finally talked to low level billing gal in eugene oregon that said she showed a 35$ balance even though i showed hundreds in bills in front of me, 3 days later got another bill for 68$, i called back and Quess what answering machine. just got a call today and apparently by there own admission i didn't have any balance and the billing was sending bills out anyway so i have no idea how much i over paid but i expect hundreds. Oregon doj is no help, this company is basicly defrauding me and who knows how many others, go somewhere else because the billing is so bad i won't be surprised if they don't send to collections for money i dont owe but probably owe me. read more

If you need quick relief, this is not the place. You will wait a very long time for this office to pre-certify with your insurance to get a steroid injection. I called my insurance thinking it was on their end. Nope. They had not been contacted by Pacific Sports and Spine. My initial visit went very well with Dr. Vora. He seemed very pleasant and knowledgeable. However his demeanor appeared to shift once I was face down on the procedure table receiving my SI joint infection. I have had many injections and this was the most painful I had encountered. I am much better now, and I'm not assigning blame on Dr. Vora for the pain, but this was my experience. He also seemed annoyed that I dared to call the office multiple times regarding my pre- auth that his office sat on for a month, not to mention the PT referral that they never made that I also had to chase down. So many mistakes in that office... Sending me a communication in the portal with my name misspelled, also multiple documents stating that the injection was done on my hip not SI. Asking me if my employer is still PeaceHealth (nope, never was). Don't just take my word for it, read these reviews by others carefully. You will find a common theme. If you are able to drive to Salem, Salem Pain and Spine is very timely with their precert process. I have also received excellent care there. Sometimes convenience isn't worth it in the end. I am probably now known as 'that lady' you know, the one who spoke up and dared to question. But how many of 'those people ' have to exist before you to own up to the obvious problems in your practice? Note to provider: I don't need you to comment about your 'privacy disclaimer' your go-to generic comment as I don't care about your response. I will not be returning to your office. for pain shots in the lower spine i was unfortunate enough to get dr. majaliwa mzombwe, md so this dr. is a major rude and callous dr. he hurt me bad while giving me a steroid shot and quote him. "you should not have told me while i was giving you a steroid shot that i was hurting you. rather you should have waited until we were in private in the office in our next appointment to tell me that. in other words do not expose me in front of witnesses dr. m m kicked me out of the clinic period forever because i dared to challenge the narcissist. called clinic manager and no return call to date read more

My review is 90% for Dr Vora. I've been to a couple other pain clinics, and easily over 100 Dr's and specialists over the years, for my very mysterious pains and ALWAYS get some sort of attitude from Dr's or they just write me off completely. But Dr Vora has been nothing but kind, understanding, and ACTUALLY LISTENS!! I can't put into words how much that means to me alone. Like I told my husband, Dr Vora calms my inner Karen lol. My only HUGE tip for new patients is to sign into the portal RIGHT after your first appt. It's soooo much easier to get ahold of your Dr and get any meds filled or questions answered without having to bug the ladies (maybe gentlemen too lol) at the front desk. read more

on my first visit i saw the DR and he ordered an MRI and gave me a prescription. on the follow up visit, it was with a NursePractitioner to go ober the MRI results. she was caught off guard and was not prepared or able to pull up anything about the MRI, it was a wasted . a year gos past and still never have gotten the results. they sent me a bill for the Co pay and i wrote back explaining what happened and i am not paying for services not rendered. they mailed me they chart notes from that visit written by the NP in which she said she wentnover the MRI and results, all of wich was a complete fabrication. she falsified medical documents . do not go here there are other places read more

I have sciatica and have beed ktrying for a week to get something for the pain. Al I have gotten is the runaround. I call and I have to leave messages. Being this is a pain center you would think they would try to help you. I am very upset over this because there is really nothing I can do. I am at the mercy of other people. On May 12, 2022, I saw Dr. Phillips in the Roseburg office. He was very professional and indicated he wanted x-rays of my back and neck for further evaluation. He said one of his office staff would contact me to arrange for the x-rays, and if I was not contacted to phone their office. I had not been contacted as of June 6, 2022. so I called and left a message with a receptionist who said someone would return my phone call. As of June 16, 2022, I had not been contacted so I phoned and left a message on an automated system. As of June 16, 2022, I have still not been contacted and attempted to call the office and found the voice mailbox where I had previously left a message, full. I do not know what I can do? I think my insurance should refuse to cover my office visit with Dr. Phillips because what is the point of an office visit if recommended follow-up care cannot/will not be provided. Dr. Phillips seemed very professional but a Dr. is only as good as his staff and his staff is way below standard. Way below. read more

I have seen many specialists including pain specialists over the years and I can honestly say that these folks are very empathic, actually listen, research your records and keep working at helping you to gain relief. The Medical Providers are 5 star!! Dana, Natalie and Dr. Phillips are the most caring, knowledgeable and professional group of providers we have ever worked with. My Mom has sever back and spine issues and during our struggle to find some relief, her primary care physician recommended this office. From the very beginning we were impressed with the time and patience they took to listen to my Mom's concerns and explain her condition. They are very detailed in their examination and then take TIME to explain the options giving you all the necessary information to make an informed decision. The only reason I am giving them 3 stars is the phone system and the issues with call backs. Once you get a hold of someone they are friendly, nice and helpful. However, leaving a message NEVER works. They don't call back. I don't think it is intentional but when 100% of the calls ARE going to voice mail how can they possibly keep up. My wife has been trying to get in to see someone for lower back injections and was a former patient of Dr Phillips. We had to switch Doctors when they no longer accepted Pacific Source insurance. He next doctor retired so now that he was in the new office and according to their website they take medicare and pacific source insurance. After we were advised he case was in review for over a month, no returned phone calls, no contact whatsoever, we called yesterday and left a message, called today and finally spoke to the referral person who advised they will not take her as a new patient. When asked why and if it was because of the Medicare they refused advise why. As there are very few doctors in the area and she has been in need of the treatment for sometime this is absolutely unacceptable. Now we have to start over in the process delaying treatment. They don't return phone calls for weeks, obviously have way too many patients, and clearly don't care about anyone. They forget things that they say, forget things that you say, and are hand down the worst medical clinic I have ever been to. I would not trust them to put on a bandaid properly. read more
