I happen to live close enough to Lotus Media that it's a short drive to their drop off point. Today (Sunday), I received an email stating that the video tapes have already been processed. Lotus' turnaround on this has been amazing! I provided them with a USB drive to store the digitized videos, and it is being delivered to my home tomorrow (i.e., Monday). Wow - thus far Lotus has been awesome. I'm looking forward to seeing the finished product but have been extremely impressed with their service. I will update the review after I have time to review the digitized videos.

It took several months for them to process it, and the resulting video was unusable, appearing overblown. The owner of the company, Todd, was not responsive to my emails, so I had to call him. I had to explain the concept of gamma levels to him as he seemed clueless about it. He promised he would hold on to the tape for longer to make a better transfer for me once he got a new BetaSP deck the following week. Months passed, and I continued to check-in to ask for progress, but I received no reply. A year later, Todd finally replied and informed me that he had sent the tape back to me, but it was lost in the mail. LOST IN THE MAIL!!! I asked whether he had made a better transfer of the video before losing the tape, but he decided to ghost me. In my opinion, this business is a joke. They are not responsive, and they are irresponsible with customers' tapes. I advise people to stay away from Todd's business as he may lose their priceless tapes as well. I would give them less than 1 star if I could. Beware of this business. Edit: Todd is insinuating below that this project I made 20 years ago makes me an amateur today and that being an amateur makes it acceptable for him to make a bad video transfer, be horrible at correspondence and to lose my tape.

I had ordered a black CD label - and he informed me he couldn't do a black label..(??) So we chose a "gold" to replace it (again costing me more money with my graphic designer) The CD's arrived looking like Butterscotch...mind you this is a Christmas record...and $$$ was spent on every aspect of this project..to come to this point and have butterscotch CD's was not my idea of a beautiful package. He told me it was my fault because I hadn't ordered a proof (I was dealing with a massive deadline..) Rather than throwing out 300 CD's (and I took responsibility for not having the time to see proofs..) I decided I could use them for giveaways..Unfortunately(or fortunately for me finding out) the first few people I gave them to came back to me telling me they did not play on their car CD players. I took several out to my car and tried to play them..they were ALL defective. Had I tried to sell these CD's I would have been in VERY bad shape!! So I went back to PIP..and he tried to first argue me out of my problem...paid me a "partial"payment" - when I was forced to re-do the entire order somewhere else...which meant..undoing shrink wrap - saving the covers....and re-ordering the replication... and re-doing the CD label, etc. Of course timing was everything for my Christmas release..and this was a NIGHTMARE. I send him all of my faulty CD's back (at MY expense)..and I never received the full amount in refund. In fact, he had attitude with me - the facts are the facts - the CD's didn't even PLAY. And I returned all of them to prove my point. I will NEVER suggest this place..if any of my recording artist friends ask...and my producer (from Seattle) was mortified with the transaction and my experience.
