Dr. Perri has been my dentist since 2007. He has done a crown, a root canal & multiple cleanings for me. I appreciate the attention to detail, precision & perfection, especially when fixing the crown or filling and getting it to be just right to where my mouth feels normal when biting down. There was a time where it felt like there was a grain sand in between my 2 back teeth and Dr. Perry took his time to make it perfect. I really do not like having shots in my mouth and dread it but Dr. Perry makes it a lot easier because he will grab my cheek and wiggle it to where it distracts my brain and the shot is not too bad. Not that I would ever want another root canal but it really wasn't as bad as I made it out to be in my head. Another thing that I appreciate here is how the billing is done. Before any procedure is done they will tell you how much it will be with insurance & how much you'll have to pay. So much better than getting a bill in the mail Surprise you owe this much.... I like the choice & the knowing. Every time I walk and I'm warmly greeted and everyone is pleasant and nice. All the way from checking in to getting x-rays done to having Ash clean my teeth it's always been a good experience. Thank you everyone for being so kind, helpful & understanding. This place has a great group of people. ***Update*** Back again for my 6-month cleaning. Awesome as always! I went to the office for a diagnosis. The dentist failed to tell me on my last visit that I had an infection. He referred me to a specialist for an extraction. I asked about a partial, and that is when he became very rude and disrespectful! Although he has a greek accent, and is hard to understand, he came through as loud and obnoxious! He stated, "why would I want one at my age"? That it wouldn't work. Very unprofessional, it is personal preference. The front office doesn't even acknowledge you when you are arriving for your appointment, and reschedule too many times. I cancelled my next appointment. I will find a more understanding and pleasant dentist. read more

Their office procedures need some work. I showed up for my annual cleaning and exam and was told that I needed to pay cash as they no longer took my Delta insurance. Would have been nice if they informed me before I made a wasted 35 mile trip. Also at a previous appointment I showed up at the appointment time and date and the office was closed. Wowza- First time I can chew on my left side of my mouth in over a year!!! Thank you Dr. Peri! I had a huge ordeal with a bad tooth that caused an infection in my face that ended up hospitalizing me for sinus surgery- and in the end having to be pulled. My regular dentist referred me to Dr.Peri and the minute that he took the 3d scan of my mouth and sinuses- he knew what needed to be done. He also took a long time to explain and educate me about my bone (loss of) and sinus structure so that I could understand what had happened and what would be the best treatment plan. Dr. Peri is confident and experienced in complex cases such as mine. I ended up doing a bridge and 2 crowns instead of an implant because long term he advised it may fail due my lack of bone and risk of reinfection of my sinuses. He showed me why he was making that choice with the x-rays and scans so I had confidence in that decision as well. They put the temporary on and in less than 1 week- I went back for the permanent one- it looks amazing and fits beautifully with no gaps and looks so real and feels super strong. I can finally chew real food on the left side of my mouth for which I'm eternally grateful. His staff is also super sweet and really helped me with my anxiety of being at the dentist and took time with me. I'm actually looking forward to fixing another tooth on the other side next month. THIS IS THE ONLY PLACE I TRUST ! I've visited this office since I was a little girl and when I moved to Newbury park I couldn't find a staff or a dentist as nice as them ! So now I gladly make the 45 minute trip for any of my appointments! I've gotten a root canal done by dr.peri and I was terrified I've been told it's the worse pain you'll have and the only pain I had was a sore jaw ! Everything he did was effortless. UPDATE- I received a private message claiming my review was derogatory. I understand a business defending itself but this is my personal experience and I'm not trying to defame them or be intentionally rude. The care I received was clinic-like and not personalized at all. Nothing in the private message tried to resolve the issue or come to a middle ground, and I feel more than ever that this review is well deserved. I stand by everything I say, and the lack on concern not only was obvious during my visit but clear as day I the message I received from the business owner. So horribly put off by my experience. First off, I was a new patient sent by my insurance because it's an HMO. I had just switched from a PPO where I used to be seen at The Smile Shapers up the street (BEST DENTIST EVER!!!!) Being a new patient they have you fill out about 3 sheets of paperwork WHICH THEY DO NOT READ OR EVEN CARE ABOUT. I have severe anxiety with dentists, even just cleaning stemming from a horribly childhood experience, which I wrote and explained in my new patient paperwork. I'm also pregnant, which I wrote in the paperwork. They clearly do not read it, they took me straight back for X-rays which are a no-no when pregnant. The tech told me 'Oh, you're pregnant. Good thing you said something!' UHHHHH no, I wrote it in the paperwork. Moved on to have my teeth cleaned. Dentist never introduced himself. The hygienist was a woman with a middle eastern accent. She. Was. Awful. I told her I'm super sensitive. Told her I have anxiety. She literally couldn't have cared less. The cleaning was painful and my anxiety was through the roof. The place felt out dated and just dirty. I should have ran out the door I will never be back. Called me insurance and switch our provider immediately. This place feels like a clinic. You don't matter. Go up the street to Dr Allen Levesque at Smile Shapers he's got a great practice. read more

Our family of three has been going to Pacific View Dental Group for more than 10 years. They not only take wonderful care of our teeth, but have almost become family over the years and the many visits. First of all, Dr. Peri is a genius, no exaggeration. He educates other dentists, for starters. He lectures on his specialties and has written at least one book on cosmetic dentristry. He is a dentist's dentist. On top of that, he is funny and kind. And sometimes he sings in Greek in his lovely baritone. He is a delightful human and you simply could not get better dental care anywhere. It is an honor to have him as our dentist. Then there is the warm and delightful Dr. Chung. Everyone LOVES Dr. Chung. He's a mensch. He is supportive. He asks about your favorite things each time he sees you. He gives you a hug and wishes you well. And he makes even the scary dental work you might have to have done easier to do. He is empathic and great with kids (and grown-ups, too!). Then, there is Dr. Peri's amazing wife, who is the dental hygienist on staff. She is glamorous and down-to-earth at the same time. She is honest and will tell you the truth even when you don't want to hear it (Yes, your teeth are getting yellower as you get older. Yes, you have been forgetting to floss.) She will also support and encourage you to make better choices. So these three are like family--with tough love but support. Then there are the office staff. Would you believe many of them are still there after 10 years? There is a reason for that loyalty. A happy workplace means staff turnover is low. Don't know about you, but I want to go to a medical office where the people who work there like what they do and for whom they work. It's the sign of a healthy practice and it builds and keeps your confidence. We wouldn't dream of going elsewhere for our dental care needs and are grateful to have the fantastic Dr. Peri and his staff taking good care of us. read more

Terrible dentistry office. They tried to schedule my wife for an extraction that was not needed. They referred her to a specialist that they never contacted or even forwarded her paperwork to. When she finally attempted to schedule her appointment they would not return her calls. Eventually she got ahold of their office and was told her insurance was no longer accepted. Terrible customer service and attempts to perform unneeded work make this the worst dentist I have ever seen. read more

I'm giving an extra star because we had a good experience with our daughter's braces years ago, but current rating is lower. (We were 100% cash customers back then.) Now we have new insurance and they didn't check if we were covered, made us pay upfront and said they submit to insurance after all services are complete. Have followed up three times, still not submitted and now we find out the dentist my daughter saw is not in our network. Oh well, who needs an extra $650 these days anyway? Poor communication, pushy with high ticket procedures, very unhelpful when it comes to billing. Our family will not be returning to this business. read more

Let me start out with your Front desk people either make you look like a great office or a horrible office and all I say is they make it look horrible they are rude and never look up at you and if they do they roll there eyes at you. They are not friendly and it starts with there Office manager trying to have a conversation regarding added on services she didn't want to answer and walked away and rolled her eyes and I didn't want to give me a corrected statement until I had to talk to the Doctor he apologized and said he has many complaints regarding his front office and office manager. I can't say all there staff is Horrible but the Dentists and back office are awesome but the front is what is making them lose all my family as patients and all the referrals I had gave out actually said they will not go there . They added on fees that my daughter never did and than don't wanna answer your questions. We are the patients the customers , we are not your burden we come here for help not your attitudes . I'm a dental chicken and I had stopped going to the dentist some 6-7 years ago because I was tired of snotty hygienist telling me what I already know. I'm aware my teeth suck, I'm aware I suck at flossing, I'm also aware that I'm an adult so I really don't need to be told that I suck by them...especially when I tell the office staff up front, please don't be judgy, just help fix me and I'll pay you money. Well, if your story is anything like mine, then I highly recommend Dr P and his staff. AMAZING. This is now my dentist from here forward. They extracted my bad teeth, treated my terrible gums and set me on a path to healthy teeth and gums. They treated me like an adult who knew he had screwed up but didn't need the reminder. Now I'm flossing like crazy and can't wait for my implants and to get my mouth back to 100% and all it took was a staff that listened to me and my issues and requests from A-Z. BEWARE: These people need an education in customer service and billing. The billing lady is so rude that I don't understand why they are in business. I have to make sure that I get a list with the codes and then compare them with my HMO list. If I have questions she treats me like garbage. I went there today because I have a loose crown. At first everything was good. The girl took me back for an x-ray but then decided I didn't need one so she led me to the chair. Dr Proussaefs came in; I told him why I was there. He grabbed my crown and pulled up to check that it was indeed loose. My crown although loose has never hurt before today. He told me he needed to see an x-ray so back I go to get an x-ray. After he checked the x-ray he pointed to a blown up screen shot of a dark spot next to my crown. Mind you that my gum started to hurt when I had to bite down on the crown to get an x-ray because he left it up after pulling on it. He then went to grab my file and proceeds to tell me that in a good scenario I will definitely need a NEW crown and then he will need to see what kind of decay I have under the crown. At that point I just lost it. I said say, "Are you kidding, I can't afford $1,200 or more." I know this because they will only try to sell you the highest end crown even though they only cost $400. Anyway, I was in shock and said, "Are you f**king kidding." Not yelled but said and that Dr. decided he could humiliate me by stating that kind of language is not said in his practice in the most arrogant attitude imaginable...he tied to continue to berate me but I got up, tore off the paper thing, and walked out. If he had said, "Please do not use that kind of language." I would have said, "Sorry, but are you kidding?" I am sorry I recommended this place to others. read more

Well this is an update to a post I made ONE YEAR AGO!! (See 6-15-15) It took sure too them long enough to check their Yelp!! I just got a letter in the mail today after seeing them for X-rays and a cleaning yesterday saying they would no longer see me and to find another dentist due to my previous review of them (from last year)! So it took them a whole YEAR to see the review and respond first of all and second of all I stand by what I said!! You, as a professional should NOT be threatening your patients by saying if one doesn't get the work done you will not see them again!! This is America ---we are free to make our choices and not be threatened or bullied by someone just because someone cannot afford the prices that were quoted, not OPTIONED, but DEMANDED by saying either get it done or hit the road!! I wasn't coming back anyway as you now quoted $700 for a full mouth quad cleaning and the same dentist who did my crowns for $500 each, of which back then after insurance payment you wanted $1200 out of pocket EACH and they are now going to do the quad cleaning for a total of $400, not $700! I am on disability---fixed income---you should take that into consideration when you see what "employment" is on the patients record and not price gouge. PERIOD! And I hope you sent the same letter to all the all 1 and 2 stars on Yelp cause there are quite a few so it's not just me and there must be some truth to my review! Hmm now I see my review from 6/2015 is gone...interesting! Basically the dentist with the long Eastern Block name told me last year I needed 2 crowns and even with insurance it would be $2400 out of pocket and then they tried to sell me their own insurance plan for $900 a year! I went to a dentist in the Valley through a co workers referral as his wife works for a great dentist there and paid $500 cash for each crown. $1000 verses $2400 and I only went after he told me if I didn't get the crowns he wouldn't see me anymore...a high pressure bullying approach! He picked the WRONG lady to pull these stunts on! And I see other similar complaints so it's not just me!! So now after being dismissed I am saving $300+ on the upcoming quad cleaning. Dr. Chung is the best dentist ever. I've been his patient for over 15 years and couldn't be happier with him. The office staff is super friendly, however there have been multiple situations where things fall through the cracks, so be sure to keep on the staff if you are expecting a return call, refund check, or price quote for a procedure. It has been an issue on more than one occasion. But again, Dr. Chung is the best ever and makes up for all of the downfalls of the office. read more

Well I had to select 1 star but if I could have given them a rating it's a -5 stars. I have discovered through a request of charges that were audited by my insurance company that this doctor over charged me 221.00 on a crown procedure. They were to provide a signed document that I supposly signed which they couldn't. The letter of audit sent to me shows they were not allowed to upgrade my crown. But they had gone ahead with this procedure and did it anyways. They tricked me into this and I spent almost 3 months with insurance and Better Business To get my money back. And the doctor had the nerve to say my claim against them was unjust. Sorry Doctor your a thief and I hope other people request audits of their charges just to see how many people you have ripped off. I hope they shut you down. read more
