Cancelled after a month of boring classes. The other instructors don't care about making your child better, they are just there to pass the time. This review is for our instructor Sharlize! She was sooo amazing with my daughter. My daughter was in a smaller class ages 4.5-5.5 with only 2 other students and one being on the spectrum. I applaud Sharlize for being so attentive, patient and kind. This was my daughter's first experience with gymnastics and Sharlize was just so good with her. We've been thrilled with our experience at this gymnastics studio for over two years. The facility is well-equipped for introductory years, and the consistent training has noticeably improved my daughter's strength. However, the only concern we have is they don't stick to the same instructor at all times. Sometimes they change every week and they come up with their own set of activities which affects consistency. However, my daughter adapts to all instructors and loves her weekly classes. She even celebrated her 5th birthday here. The staff did a fantastic job entertaining the children throughout the party with various activities and even helped set up cake and food. I highly recommend this studio for anyone looking to introduce their child to gymnastics. read more

So far so good! My daughter just started attending the Squiggle Worms (age 4-5) class last month. It's a much smaller and newer location (opened up in June 2015) than the Pac West location in Union City, occupying a large office space. Inside, each side has equipment for building skills - short and tall balance beams, trampolines, bars, climbing walls, etc. This gym might be geared for kids who are of toddler to middle schooler age after looking through the class schedule. My daughter has enjoyed her teacher, Coach Claudia, who is very conscious of keeping the kids safe but who is seems to like her job and engages the kids. She is not shy with redirecting kids who are acting out of line. The gym is very clean. The prices are a little higher than the tuition fees at Top Flight, however, the class is longer - 55 min compared to 45 min. They have a liberal class make-up policy where you can miss as many classes and make up as many classes. With the tuition, kids can also come to the Open Gym, offered on Mondays and Wednesdays at 11 am. Non-member price is $7.50 (not too bad) for 60 min. for kids to expend their energy. Now this location is a little tricky to find. It's located in this office plaza, off Christy St. Drive all the way to the back and it is located next to Jigsaw Crossfit. read more

I signed up for what I called the 'try it out' through Fremont recreation department. It was for 4 sessions of tumbling for my 6 year old granddaughter. I give it a 'could've been better' rating because the instructor could have been more attentive and less talking to her colleague. Students often were left waiting for her to finish her conversation before receiving the next instruction. She was a very nice instructor, but needed to be more involved with her student's learning. You would think these sessions would inspire the owner to put the best instructors with these students in order to get them signed on, but that wasn't the case. I was sad that it didn't work out. read more

Coach Jovana is AMAZING!!! She is a sub coach for my son's Inchworm (3 years old) class today. She is so patient, kind, and helpful. She takes the time to explain what they are going to do, demonstrates it, then helps him when he needs help. I hope we can have her as our regular coach sometime! I decided to move my daughter in a different class since we found out one of her classmates is in it. The staff was so accommodating when I asked if we could switch days (still w coach Claudia). We have had a few schedule hiccups & re-scheduling / getting a makeup class is so easy! Just a phone call & it's changed. No hassle. So nice! Again, I must say how the kids love Coach Claudia. My daughter really enjoys her classes. Such improvement. Not only is she super sweet w each kid. She really gets them involved & takes her time w showing the skill so each kid can understand it. Coaches are a hit and a miss. Coach Dani is great (she left to go somewhere else) whereas other coaches had trouble managing more than 3, 4-5 year olds at once. BIGGEST DRAWBACK - Management is still hiding behind covid rules and is doing zoom makeup classes instead of in-person. Zoom classes don't work for kids this young. Try top flight instead. read more

I'm so glad I took a chance and put my 5 year old son in gymnastics! I thought it might be a sport more girls would be interested in, but I was pleasantly surprised to see how many boys also love gymnastics. The kids have so much fun here!! I especially enjoy watching the coaches do their magic. They are exceptionally kind, patient and creative in the ways they get the kids doing new moves, with such ease. I was so impressed watching my son feeling more confident and proud each week that goes by. Another perk is the friendly staff at the front desk! I LOVE Jovana and Julie (and all the other coaches also)! My 4 yo son is very shy and hard to assimilate in new environment. The instructors have been very accommodating and patient with him in instructions and making sure he follows the rule. This location is clean and also calmer than other big gymnastics place. I've been to big name gymnastics place and those places can be quite overwhelming for the little ones (gymnasts practice along side toddler). I can't say enough nice things about this place! My toddler daughter attended classes here for eight months until she started preschool and now she goes to open gyms when she has days off of preschool. She learned so much at Pac West and has gotten so physically strong. She has such a good time playing with all the equipment and doing somersaults. When she is older, I know we will send her to the bigger kids classes. read more

First, the pluses: The space in Fremont is really nice and well maintained. It's very easy to sign up. And the best part is that they are awesome about scheduling make ups. Now the cons. The teachers range from fantastic to terrible. There is no consistency. We had one teacher we loved - Kathy - who left recently to go to college. She wasn't just a good gymnast, but also very good with kids at all levels. She knew how to motivate kids so that they wanted to come back to her class. If she had been the only teacher we'd ever had, this review would have been 5 stars. But we had another teacher before Kathy who was alright, but really bored with her job. And we've had others, through make ups etc,, who were terrible. While watching my child, I also observe other teachers. And clearly, it takes more than knowing gymnastics to actually teach kids how to do gymnastics. The teacher has to enjoy working with kids first... read more

This 5 stars are for the wonderful staff/coach starting from the 1st moment we stepped into the party room: They helped us to move our food, cake, party decoration from our car; Telling us where we gonna put our food; Explaining when will be the open play time, class starting time, party start to when to have cake cutting time! As a coach, they were very patiently teaching the kids what to do and making sure they all have FUN and be safe too! On top of that, facilities (including bathroom) are very big and clean as well! Sad I had to give 2 stars but I think it's what's fair. We started off loving this place but it got out of hand. My daughter had almost 8 kids in her squiggle worm class & she spent half the time waiting for her turn. So basically we were paying $102 a month for 30 min weekly classes. Plus they kept doing the same things every class. My child was bored n did not want to go anymore . The 2 stars is for teacher Lexi who is very sweet. read more

I have to say I was pleasantly surprised by this facility. I brought my 2.5year old daughter here for open gym and couldn't believe what a nice spot this turned out to be. $7.50 for 1 hour of open gym, meaning she could play on anything in there. It was clean and small, but perfect for the little ones. We are used to going to a traditional large where house type of gymnastics place that can tend to be overcrowded with rowdy kids, so this was a nice change of pace. It almost reminded me more of a Gymboree type of establishment. The bathroom was surprisingly clean, considering all of the little ones who go through it, and I just loved that it wasn't too overwhelming, in a sense that there wasn't crazy kids running everywhere, pushing my daughter around. There were maybe 5-6 kids max, which allowed my daughter to play on almost anything she wanted. I noticed, but didn't take advantage, of a small coffee machine near the front desk, but I thought that was a very nice touch. The only thing I would say is, if you're going for the first time, allow 10-15min extra to find the location. I had to call and have them guide me to their spot since I was driving in circles in the wrong business park, yet I had seen a small sign of there's where I was, so I was just really confused. But now that I know where it is, I would say the location is nice, it's in a business park type area, kind of off the beaten path, but there is plenty of parking and once you know where it's at, it should be no problem going back again. All in all, it made for a good time, not to mention, it's conveniently located across the way from a bunch of yummy lunch spots and awesome shopping! I'll definitely be coming back here, so glad I tried a new spot! read more
