This review is for the birthday package they offer which I paid $750. We arrived on the actual day we booked and I got there half an hour prior to the event. The entire studio was dark and I had a bad feeling. Luckily, the door wasn't locked (yet) and I walked in looking for someone for guidance. I then saw a trainer leaving so I yelled across the studio asking if I could start setting up. He looked confused at first, then realized NO ONE informed him or anyone about a party. He mentioned it's not the first time it happened, and something with someone not sending an email. So someone just seriously messed up and forgot about a party. Just WOW. I even asked it weekly prior when I was there to ensure they had everything needed. Every single time they confirmed my booking was there and it was all set. Then the day came and nothing was set up. Had I came a little later and he left, we would have been stranded with no party. However, he saved the day by calling his team and then helped get the activity set up. We started maybe only 15 min later than anticipated because he quickly got everything together and more trainers showed up eventually. Honestly, a venue forgetting an event you book is literally the worst nightmare. I will never book this place again and if you do, call the day of because you just can't be too careful someone forget to do their job. Three star because the trainer saved the day and kids ended up having fun but not worth the full on panic attack. read more

We attended a birthday party here, and the staff did a great job to engage all of the children and ensure they had a safe and enjoyable time playing. The party started off with a 1 hour play time followed by 1-1.5 hours of food and games in their upstairs loft. The space is primarily set-up for their regular gymnastics classes, so there's plenty of room for the kids to run around, lots of places for them to jump and fall softly on floor pads. It's a nice, clean facility that I'd highly recommend for kids' birthday parties! read more

Bay Aerials is the best gym! The facility is well-lit and clean. It has new equipment for everyone including lots of trampolines. I love their Ninja program and the designated Ninja area with lots of cool obstacle course-like equipment, including the biggest foam pit I've ever seen. Aerial Silks hanging from the ceiling and small sized equipment for little kids. The instructors are all very friendly and great with kids. 10/10 recommend Bay Aerials! read more

An update to the facility and management. The instructors for Ninjas are great (floor staff is great), this was my experience during winter months. 1. There are no health check protocols with kids. No temp checks, sanitizing hands up one entry, etc. - there were several kids coughing and I was so uncomfortable within 2 mins I pulled my son. - it was not fast enough, he ended up getting croup and an emergency visit b/c of breathing complications. - there were 2 kids that were coughing a lot, IMO they should've stopped the class entirely, have them sit out, Spoke with the parents, put on a mask, taken their temperature.. something! 2. I called and left several messages for a supervisor, owner or manager to call me back. I received 1 voice message from the front desk. I got a faster response to my 4 star review than my 4+ voice messages. - nobody has called to follow up with my son since he has missed a month of classes - nor have I received any follow ups from my messages. I just cancelled and will return in the spring time because my son enjoys the class, but as a parent.. this was frustrating and disappointing. Fremont Location TERRIBLE EXPERIENCE I have taken my son to this place for a little bit over a year now. I never thought I would write down this VERY DISAPPOINTING experience with their MANAGER today. Me and the other parent were called in to stay with the kid ALL THE TIME because they can't keep them "running around" in class. She was pretty much dictating us to stay in the class instead of giving instructions to teach the kid how to do the activities. They use ONLY one instructor to teach many kids they can't handle. Then the manager came to tell me to put my son to TWO YEAR old class. ARE YOU KIDDING ME? -Your solution to teach and educate a 3 year old is to align them with young ones? I can't believe what she is thinking. I've never seen this manager's face before. How can you come to us and tell us what you want us to do without even asking our feedback?? NOT EVEN ONCE. WE'VE BEEN THERE OVER ONE YEAR. How do this place hire someone who doesn't qualify to be a manager? NO COMMUNICATION SKILLS AT ALL. NOT RESPECTFUL. NON SENSE. Let's talk about their teaching skills... Their strategy to keep the kids focused is using bubbles. When the instructor took the kid to the corner that you can't physically see. I saw it on the screen that the instructor just sit there with the kid playing bubbles. I PAID for you to play bubbles with my kid?????? My child haa been a member for over 1 1/2 years now and although her experience has been fine and the teachers are great, I'm hugely disappointed with their recent "no make up classes" adsence policy. This was implemented in 2024 and at the same time, rates increased by 5%. I understand the tuition increase and I have no problems paying it, but to implement the "no make up" policy increases the spread of illnesses and causes families to lose $. read more

Very sad to have to write this as I have 2 kids who have attended classes here at different times and both were not good experiences. The most recent was a girls beginner class - which I was hoping was better managed than the Ninja class but, I guess I should have known, it wasn't. The teacher was not very good. She hardly paid attention to the kids and did not spend much time actually teaching specific skills. They basically just let the girls figure it out and move to the next station, one after the next without real instruction/teaching. I've unfortunately seen this more than once which is a huge disappointment and frustration. I even had my daughter address the coach one on one to ask how she could improve and what tips or skills she could work on and she was just told to work on a handstand at home and wasn't given any instructions on how to do that. She still hasn't been offered any guidance on how to move up and its been weeks since she and I first approached the coach. They also have a No Make Up Policy which is really difficult for most families and very disappointing. I then had a very unfortunate interaction with the Manager, who refused to allow me to speak to the owner and just brushed me off and told me that more information was available on their website. Treating customers this way is No way to do business. Unless you are just looking for a place for your kid to just jump around, this place is a TOTAL waste of time & money and I would not recommend it to anyone. read more

This place is cool for kids that aspire to be gymnast. My daughter joined and she liked it for a short while. She lost interest, it had nothing to do with the staff or place, she just lost interest. The place inside is huge! They have the girls separated by skill set and age group. The staff is friendly and patient. When you go in, they have little cubby holes you can put the child's shoes and things if you want. There is also a very large sitting are for parents with a downstairs and upstairs viewing area. There is kinda of a smell inside, like feet smell. Not terribly repugnant but you can smell it, it might also just be me, I have a strong sense of smell. I get it too, kids running around bare foot, it's bound to smell a little. Parking is small so you may end up parking up the street but we still found parking every single time. Pricing was your usual kids extracurricular sports / activities. Not exactly cheap but not horrible either, you won't have to sell your soul to afford it. They do have an iron clad contract you have to sign so make sure you read it and get the terms of cancellation clear. I deal with contracts so I did notice they have a solid one. Make sure you read it so you don't get any surprises when you try to cancel, I didn't cause I read it. :-) All in all this is a cool place for kids! read more

My kids have been going to Bay Aerials for a year now and ~6mo prior to the pandemic. I stuck it out as long as I did because I do believe gymnastics or really any form of body movement is great. I've been so disappointed with the make-up policy changes. It has progressively become less and less customer service oriented, all the while, increasing the already costly tuition. However, I would be OK with the cost increase if I believed the value was there. A lot of the better coaches have left, due to the toxicity of the environment (their own words). With the exception of 2-3 of the coaches, they don't care about the kids nor give them any guidance or helpful instruction. For example, my daughter was told to do handstands against the wall and she kept falling down in a very disoriented (read: painful) way and her instructor barely gave her 2 seconds of her time and just told her to keep going. While practice makes improvement, how are these kids to know what to do differently to improve? The coaches are not engaging (except Ian and Sofia) and don't seem to care about even being there. I've spent more of my own time and investing in mats at home to teach them. It's a shame since the facilities are nice and I know they train great athletes on the competitive teams. If there was another gym in the area, they'd likely have to review their inflexible policies, but unfortunately there isn't and they're definitely capitalizing on that. read more

Update. I had a thoughtful conversation with the owner on how to improve future parties and received an apology for things not going right and/or how I expected. I honestly felt that the owner was sincere and genuine and I appreciated that on top of everything. This is exactly what customer service should be like. I understand that sometimes things go wrong when they shouldn't BUT it's important when someone takes accountability, hears out the customer and appreciates feedback. I am a busy working mom but I am open to taking the time to have thus type interaction to make things better. This is something that isn't done often enough so for that I am grateful for and we will be looking into possibly having my daughter go back to make it up which I am open to. read more

We've been coming to Bay Aerials since 2018. The classes and teachers are amazing. Special shout out to Andrea and Harrison. My only complaint over the years has been the lady running the front desk. I've worked customer service for decades. And a smile and a greeting go a long way. She just was very unapproachable and made the client feel as tho we were a nuisance and bothering her. However, recently there's been a new guy up front and my review is for him. WHAT A DELIGHT HE IS! He is so friendly and approachable. I tend to have make up classes and questions and he has been so helpful navigating me thru schedule changes and just any questions I have. We just received another price increase email. 2 years ago it was $135/month, then they increased it to $145/month. Now it's going to be $165/month for 4 classes/month. I had to break my daughter's heart and let her know we need to go elsewhere or just discontinue it. I had hoped to stay to continue for another 2 years but now the cost will be too much. I know quite a few people on the wait list for Airborne as they charge $40 less a month. Maybe their space is slightly smaller and their program is not as detailed but the price difference is significant. My daughter will be sad as she loves so many teachers here so I'll give her a few more months to prepare mentally to say goodbye. read more

We enrolled our son early November (when I wrote my originally review) and decided to give Bay Aerials a chance and see what could be instore. After my review, Lisa, the owner, and i connected on ways of improvement from a parents perspective and she very graciously provided more information on items they are working on as a whole to make the entire experience better for all. Bay Aerials Gymnastics is incredible!! My toddler absolutely loves coming to gymnastics. She runs in to the class to say hello to her teacher and starts playing; it is a highlight of her week! My daughter has been going to Bay Aerials gymnastics for many years now. Recently, they have become extremely inflexible and unprofessional. They made a change in their makeup policy and said "no makeup policy" and at the same time increased the fee. I sent multiple emails regarding the change in makeup policy with no proper response. Finally, when I spoke to the front desk about the change in the makeup policy, I was told this was changed as they received complaints from certain parents that classes are crowded as kids who have makeup classes showup to those classes. I suggested options of creating a separate class for makeups or even offering at least few makeups per quarter and none of them were acceptable options. I was told that they will not make the change. In fact the front desk person I was talking to implied that I can take my kid elsewhere if I am not ok with their policy change. This is unacceptable and unprofessional. I have been asking to talk to the owner Lisa, or even the manager, but conveniently they are never available to talk. On top of that, the skill chart doesn't get updated for months on end. They know that they do not have competition in this area, and they are definitely taking advantage of the situation. read more

We have been a Bay Aerials family for 12 years. My daughter started in the mommy and me class and has joined the competitive team several years ago. Her brother has been part of the ninja program for the last 5 years. Both kids have always been safe here. They love their coaches! I am probably more excited than my kids every time we go here for their weekly classes! My son is currently in the Ninja Class. I have seen a big difference in his attentiveness in the first 2 classes. I have seen how the instructors are with the children and they really set them straight. If one boy cuts in line, they are sure that isn't just brushed under the rug. Prior to these classes, my son didn't believe in himself that he was able to do any of the obstacle courses (due to some bullying we've experienced). It really touches my heart that these instructors aren't just here to make money or "babysit," but the actually ENGAGE and lifts up the children's spirits. As for my daughter, her instructor is Jenny for the toddlers class. She is the sweetest instructor! I have raved about Bay Aerials Gymnastics to all the parents I know :) read more

We discovered this gym when they offered open gym to the public, free play for all children under five years old. The facility is amazing! Wall to wall tumbling Mats, trampolines, balance beams, ramps, slides, tunnels, foam pit, endless amounts of physical activities! We also joined a FREE baby class! MsNicole the instructor is super sweet and supportive of Mommy and Baby. I enjoy for once I don't have to worry about my unstable toddler getting hurt and she able to climb, explore and roam independently. MsNicole challenges baby to try new things and encourages her to follow directions, develop new skills and to have fun. We've been attending for 3 months and try to not ever miss. Everyone at Bay Aerials is very nice and the activities are so cool! I encourage everyone to come in and check them out!! read more

We are loving the ninja classes at Bay Aerials. Their outside set up is so well done and they change it up every week. They are definitely COVID safe and take all precautions seriously. I am so happy that my kids have an option for a safe outdoor activity. I couldn't be more pleased with how well they've created the outdoor program. They've just lost my business. Tried to book a birthday party with them. Called 2x no one picks up the phone ... the 3rd time I call finally someone picks up. At first the receptionist suggest me to book later because it's 3 months out and there is a 75 non-refundable deposit, she said I have to go in person to book (not over the phone) and if I really want to do that I can come in, I said okay. Went to the location, the area for the tots (3-4 years) is very small and mediocre, no kids under 3 are allow on the gym area. Then I was told by another lady that I can't book that far in advance (only 60 days ahead) and need to come back in person later. Why did the 1st person tell me I can book and waste my time making the trip?! Found a much better place, Pacific West, someone picks the phone right way and booked the party over the phone (they also have an online system where you can find out their schedule and make reservation, no trip to the location required). Also, kids of all ages are allow to be on the floor and kids over 2 can be coached. Cheaper per child, offers a lot of extras, booked it over the phone 3 months ahead, wayyyyyyyy better customer service and eager to help. I suggest you look at Pacific West if you are looking for a party Frankly, Bay Aerials gives you a feeling that they just don't give a damn about your business. So, they wouldn't get mind. My kids went here until 2 weeks ago. They now go to Top Flight gymnastics and we are very happy. Top Flight has coed Ninja classes that are significantly cheaper and 5 minutes longer. My kids could not stop talking about how much they like their new class. My daughter wanted to move into her brother's Ninja class because it looked more fun. They do these classes for enjoyment and exercise and not to become competitive gymnasts so I agreed. I called and asked for both of my children, age 7 and age 6, to be placed in the same Ninja Zone class. I was told it was against their policy to allow girls into that class because they have to follow the NinjaZone rules. I asked them to send me that policy. The policy stated, "NinjaZone strongly recommends to our gym that classes are not co-ed." I had said that was not a black and white rule and left some grey area in which they would have the option to make the class co-ed. The information sent to me also stated, " If you're ready for them to make a splash at NinjaZone, make sure to talk to us. If there isn't enough interest, we will do our best to accommodate your child, but we do hope that you will take this information into consideration, when making your choice of where to place your child." I took the information into consideration and asked to move forward with putting my daughter into the class. In a class with an age range of 5-11, I find it hard to believe that the learning style of a 5 year old boy and an 11 year old boy is more similar than my 6 and 7 year old children. They offer 20+ boys classes and only 1 girls class. Their 1 girls class is not at the same time as any of the boys classes and very inconvenient. Prices here keep increasing. My kids "charts" had not been updated in months. read more

I really liked the facility and staff, until about a month ago (Feb '17). I am not sure if the management/owners changed or what....? All our favorite staff/coaches left. They changed all the equipment around for the toddler classes. Everything used to be spread out, now it's crammed in the back corner of the facility. They got rid of the two trampolines for the young kiddos to jump on. My BIGGEST complaint is Margaret. The other teachers were VERY energetic, friendly, into teaching different techniques/skills. Margaret just plays babysitter. She'll sit, thumb around on her phone. Doesn't smile or acknowledge the parents/kids much. She'll leave the room periodically and come back with food in her mouth. Very unprofessional! Most toddlers (18 months+) are very much able to use the equipment provided. They don't need a babysitter! Sure, they take more patience than preschoolers, but they're ready to try new things! My daughter (2) and most kids in her class were very strong and willing to learn the skills! ***Before the changes, we had a great time! Paige was amazing! Miss her a lot. Bay Aerials staffs don't care about our concern and needs. My daughter was identified as "purple" (advanced) level when she had summer camp there in June. However, they made us have another evaluation and said my daughter needs to start from "blue" (intermediate) level for "safety" reason. My daughter started her 1st "blue" class on 9/3 but they combined her to "green" (lower level) just because they didn't have enough coach and students that day. My daughter had a super boring class and didn't learn anything. I complained but they ignored our concern and put my daughter with those little kids with skills much lower than her again on 9/10. My daughter had another boring class and the coach doesn't care about her correct level. So far my daughter didn't learn anything and It's a big waste of time. read more

Bay Aerials is a gymnastics-only studio in Fremont. I believe this gym specializes in training competitive gymnasts, since I always see little kids doing impossible tumbling passes while waiting for my adult class to start. (This rating is for the adult class only.) I never got to take gymnastics classes as a child, but it's never too late to start (at the ripe old age of 22) right? Our weekly Thursday adult class is taught by Mackenzie. Our class has a mix of beginners (like me) and advanced former gymnasts. Our hour long class usually breaks down like this: 10-15 minutes of warm up on a long trampoline. 15-20 minutes of "conditioning" (my least favorite part!) The rest of the class is spent on developing a specific skill. In the last few weeks, we've worked on front tucks (into a pit), back tucks (into a pit), front handsprings and aerials (no-handed cartwheels). The class is pretty informal, and just jumping on the trampoline is pretty fun. The class is a great workout. The best part about this class is that we actually get to attempt new skills, and if you don't know how to do something, we have a safe environment to try... The more advanced gymnasts get to work on more advanced moves, so there's something for everyone here. First class is free (I think, you might want to verify this) and subsequent classes are 10 for $125 (12.50 a class). You purchase a class card, and your card is only marked on nights you show up, so no need to feel like you wasted money if you can't make a class for whatever reason. I'm glad I found this place! Yay! So much better than just going to a plain ol' gym! read more

I really appreciated finding a place where my monolingual Spanish speaking daughter could understand what the instructions were. Not so easy to find because they are in an industrial area, but i guess they have to have a big warehouse like that. They have pretty good programs, but unfortunately my son wasn't fond of it. Me and the wife took our daughter here tonight so she could attend a friend's birthday party. It was a small party, only 8-10 kids, with parents as well. The inside of this place looks very well organized and the guy working was also very helpful. There was about an hour of play time in the gym for the kids. During this time, the instructor led them in a few activities as well as some free time to play. He did pretty well at keeping an eye on the kids, making sure they were safe, and keeping them entertained. The nice part was that there was a good amount of spectator space for the parents to stand and watch their kids. There is also a bleacher section for parents to sit and watch. After the hour of play time, we moved into the party area, which is pretty small, but it fit the kids fairly well. I wouldnt recommend it if you have a big party (unless they have another area for that). The kids ate, had cupcakes, and party favors. Everyone seemed to have a good time. My wife has been here a few times to watch the gymnastics with my daughter, but we've never enrolled in any classes. That may change in the future though, we're pretty impressed by this place. read more

I am giving the Business 2 stars based on how unprofessional they are. I have sent 2 emails about my daughters coach and I still have not received an answer or any type of correspondence at all. I understand that people leave jobs and that coach's will change. What I am upset about is that my daughters coach has been changed on her a number of times and we have never been informed of the change. I always have to go ask the front desk and they just say oh ya the coach changed. It's one thing when someone is subbing but for it to be a permanent change we should be informed. On top of the tuition we pay per month my daughter has been getting private lessons as well. So the only reason I know of the change is because her coach was professional enough to contact me. My daughter loves gymnastics and wants to do it but without consistency she will not progress. I have contacted Bay Aerials to get a recommendation for a new coach and have not received anything. I love the gym but on a business standpoint if they want to keep customers they need to be more professional on how they handle things. Now if this review was based on her last coach Carlo then it would be 5 Stars because he was wonderful with her and really got her to focus and progress. read more

Lisa is AMAZING!!! I took my younger niece (actually more like second cousin) to Bay Aerials to practice for an upcoming gymnastics tryout. Lisa was very accommodating and I could tell she loves what she does, especially working with my youngin'. I originally chose the facility based on YELP reviews and proximity to my work, but I soon realized why this gym was the place to be.
