Upon arrival the receptionist said that I had to put all of our personal information, insurance info and and medical information into their new portal since they had a new computer system and texted links to me to do it separately for myself and my son. I said that I wished that they would transfer the information from there old system and she said yes, me too. I told her when I was having trouble with the with the portal and she just looked at me. While I was sitting in the waiting room entering information I heard a hygienist come to look for us and the receptionist told her that we cannot go back until I finish entering the portal. While this was going on another patient came in with another person and was in the waiting room cursing including using the F word. Then the receptionist addressed him by his first name and told him he could go back, which led me to believe that she knew him. No, hey sorry about the language, etc. Not a good environment when you have a child/children with you. When we went back to the exam room the hygienist said that the dentist would exam my teeth before she cleaned them and he did; which doesn't seem like a thorough exam to me but it seemed that he was planning to leave for the evening. When the hygienist asked to re-schedule us, I told her that I didn't think that we'd be back. When she asked why, I said that I would include it in my survey response since they normally send a link after appointments. I did mention to bad environment in the waiting room for children and she responded that it wasn't an employee but a patient. I would be apologizing if it was one of my customers but I guess that the medical / dental industry handles things differently. Any-who, I guess they didn't want the feedback since for the first time I did not receive a text with a link to a survey. There has been a lot of turn-over with the hygienist and front office employees since Dr. Wolfe has retired and the service is not the same.

They told me I have over 12 cavities so I went back to my normal dentist to have him look, and he said there weren't even things to watch for. They were all so tiny that fillings are completely unnecessary and wouldn't get worse as long as I improved my dental care. Also, my hygienist at Wolfe Dental was sweet, however the doctor was not. She did not introduce herself to me and did not even tell me I had any cavities until I received my treatment plan and saw it myself.

They are all very nice and great at what they do. I highly recommend them. I have had countless routine cleanings as well as fillings, crowns, and more. I get scared by very tight, straight-laced people. This dentist made me feel at ease, his assistant was very nice and pleasant, the hygienist was very thorough with my 20-year-overdue dental cleaning and the receptionist was very welcoming. I would recommend this to anyone who's afraid of sitting in a dentist's chair. I have a total of 5 cavities and a root canal that I have to get done but I'll be back to see him again and again. I haven't had dental work in over 20 years due to not feeling comfortable. I found my dentist for life.

Then they said I had periodontal disease and needed deep scaling. This also turned out not to be true. Luckily I knew they were lying and didn't pay the $350+ for this unnecessary procedure. If I had listened to all their lies I would have paid more than $600 out of pocket WITH insurance for x-rays and the deep scaling. Don't go here. Like the other reviewers said, they scare you into thinking you need a bunch of work done on your mouth when it's not true.

Dr. Yacoub addressed all of my dental needs without judgment and was straightforward and fair with his assessment and treatment plan. I've had that front tooth worked on by a few dentists already and am happiest with the final results of Dr. Yacoub's work. I am not in PA full time so he was flexible with working with my schedule and blocking out time as needed to see me. It's been over a year and all of the work he's done is still working out for me great! He's not real chatty either which I appreciate, he's friendly and professional. I've had in the past dentists who talk your ear off while your mouth is open and it's weird. The same treatment plan was priced at 3x what they priced me by one of those overpriced chain dentists that my insurance company said was my in-network dentist. Located in Whitehall off of 22 the office is very convenient to get to! Lastly, the ladies at the front desk are always really nice and his dental assistants as well.

From my very first phone call to the office, I felt cared for. Kelly answered my call, listened to everything I was going through, and managed to get me in for an emergency appointment within a few hours!!! Dr. McKenna was absolutely wonderful. He truly listened, explained every step clearly, and made me feel comfortable the entire time. His assistant (I feel so awful forgetting her name!) was just as amazing. So kind, gentle, and reassuring. You can really tell how well the whole team works together. Before starting the root canal treatment, Dr. McKenna explained every step and made sure I was fully numb, something my last dentist didn't even bother with, even though my filling was deep. Dr. McKenna fixed the poor filling from that previous dental office and discovered bacteria under the tooth that was causing my pain. My previous dentist had insisted nothing was wrong and left me to deal with on and off pain and no antibiotics for months!! I then went to another practice, as the pain became excruciating, same thing and said I had to wait at least until the end of the week until next months schedule opens for root canals. However, Dr. McKenna found the real issue right away and treated it properly. While explaining the X-rays and what they show. I'm still healing, but I already feel so much better and finally heard. I can't thank Dr. McKenna and his team enough. They've earned a new lifelong patient! I will be bringing my newborn son here once his teeth come through and recommending to other family and friends :D Thank you for your kindness, professionalism, and for helping me.

He left the room on 3 different occasions to help other patients meanwhile he's removing cavity's out of my mouth. I think that's rude. Then 2. I couldn't breathe I was all numbed up and couldn't feel a thing the assisitant was spraying water in my mouth and I couldn't swallow or breathe and I tried to let them know but shaking my hands but nothing. Soo I had get them away as nice as possible so I could breath. Then he demanded an apology and he said he would leave room and I could go home with holes in my teeth. Jj you do a great job dealing with distressed patients. Maybe don't take out your anger from your home life onto your patients .
