So now we had a new phone we incurred the expense for and could not get re-imbursed for the insurance we paid on the phone as it was delivered, albeit days late. The staff and owners were of no help. I also am the only member of my family living in Wisconsin so I tend to do lots of mailings to family members all over the country. I had a rather large package to drop-off, and with an injury I have, I'm still limited on how much I can lift. I felt horrible dragging my wagon through the store and having the worker grab out this huge package for me, but he was so kind about it. The one downside to this location is the very limited parking. If you come when it's busy, you're going to be trying to find street parking on one of Shorewood's busiest streets.

Despite that, there is almost always some person who doesn't understand basic parking courtesy and manages to suck up two spots or park so close you can't open your car door. This is not the fault of the store - just people being completely self involved. I'd feel better if they had one or two more lights in the lot at night.

I think they were even proud of themselves, as this was the fullest pod they had ever packed and they did it in an amazingly short amount of time!! Our original estimate had been with two movers. The morning of, an extra mover had become available so we accepted the third mover at an extra $89 an hour and still came in considerably below estimate due to their efficiency!! I stopped because I saw it on my way back from Cedarburg Monday night. As far as sporting goods stores go, there is a decent amount of inventory. The lighting isn't as bright as Sports Authority, so the place looks dingy as a result. The prices seem in line with other sporting goods stores, but the customer service is what elevated this from a 3 star review to a 4 star review. I was greeted when I entered and asked if I needed help finding anything. He walked me toward the right area and another team member took me the rest of the way. The weight lifting belt that I bought rang up $10 more than the price on the peg where it hung, which is common in retail since things get moved to the wrong place by customers all the time, but the same product from that same peg had the same price as the price on the peg. So the team member have me a 15% discount to get closer to the listed price, which I was cool with. I also bought a new Brewers t-shirt for about $5 less than I find at most other retailers. I will consider Burghardt's for future purchases if I can't find what I want closer to my house.
