I wish I could give a better rating. First, I don't dryclean much so maybe I am partly to blame...I brought in a cardigan my mother knit my father (over 70 years ago) to be cleaned and remove a spot. I wasn't sure of the source of the stain. I don't clean in it, wear it as part of an outfit. Its casual, but beautifully made. When I got it back, I asked if the stain was removed. It looked ok on the hanger, but when I got it home, the stain was darker, larger, the knit was stretched and it is now a square. I took it back. [[HIGHLIGHT]]They said they tried, but the chemicals wouldn't take. I asked why they didn't tell me this; the attendant literally laughed.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] My issue: [[HIGHLIGHT]]Shouldn't a cleaner tell you when they can't remove a stain? Do you need to just take it home and find out for yourself?[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Also, it clearly is worse. The stain is darker and has a stretched out squared. We have been coming in here for years. Service has been good, and they have always done everything they can to provide fast turnaround. Good organization too. Never really had a problem with them. HOWEVER, they cleaned a $400 suit jacket I have, and it was returned with a patch where the blue color was faded, about 2" by 2" spot on front shoulder. Everyone noticed at my son's wedding, trying to wipe it off as if it were a smudge. ALSO, the suit jacket is textured... or I should say WAS textured. The sleeves still have the right texture but the rest of the suit the texture is flattened out, destroying the effect. I brought it back this morning and the older woman who took it in was not very helpful. She barely listened to me and said "we will see what we can do." I will revise my review based on if they take care of my jacket, or reimburse me reasonably for it. read more

I just picked up three items of clothing that I dropped off stained and they are perfect. This cleaner does a fabulous job! They're inexpensive, friendly, courteous, and they get out stains others cannot. Previously I had a suede skirt that had an oil stain on it and they got it out perfectly. I had another cocktail dress with a stain on the front from dropped pizza that I had paid $50 to another cleaner and they did not get the stain out. Westwood removed for less than half the price. Stay far away!! I brought in a brooks brother suit for tailoring. When I received it back the inner liner was ripped, the left cuff was uneven, the left front side of the suit dropped 3 inches lower than the right side, and front buttons were uneven. I politely brought it up that it was not done properly and the older gentleman said those defects were from the factory and I was a liar. But then he offered to fix it for free.. (??) After I came back to pick up the rework the buttons and the suit were still uneven. The older gentlemen preceded to YELL at me saying I was "stupid", "an ass", among other insults. I was in total shock. I'm always super respectful of customer service folks but this man was so unhinged another customer went up to him to tell him to calm down. If you need something done quick and easy, go ahead and risk it. But don't bring in anything you care about! read more

This place (Westwood Cleaners), the location, and the entire staff along with their high-quality customer service is AMAZING! I had been using a dry cleaner closer to my home for years until my wife wanted her wedding dress cleaned. She searched around and opted for Westwood Cleaners (about 88th and North Ave.) in Wauwatosa, WI because of their well-earned reputation. Most, if not all, wedding dresses are very fragile (which usually means more expensive/more labor to clean, etc.). But my experience at Westwood Cleaners was just the opposite. Not only did they do perfect work, but the price was significantly lower (less than half!!) than the previous cleaner we were using. It was also finished MUCH sooner than I would have expected from my previous go-to location for dry cleaning. The staff at Westwood is so accommodating and gracious that I can only say that are not just a dry cleaner...they have completely redefined everything I have ever thought about customer service in the most positive way. Since getting my wife's wedding dress cleaned (about 18 months ago) I have probably used them another 50 times! Mostly to clean my suits of various fabrics, but they'll do anything (silk, Cashmere, wool, cotton...anything)! Westwood Cleaners is only about a 5 minute drive further than the dry cleaner that I had been patronizing, but I can honestly say that I would drive an hour out of the way just for their customer service, and amazing results! Going to this dry cleaners makes me feel real actual resentment toward every drycleaner I have been to for the past twelve years. Westwood is FAST. They are Friendly af. They are smart and when I spill coffee down the front of my brand new white linen suit, they stick arrows on it and give it back to me (quickly) and I cannot even find where the stain was. I brought them a pair of pants from The Limited that completely ripped when I tried to open the pocket (you could see my underwear, egads!) and they fixed it, for less than it costs to get hemming done at The Limited or Nordstroms and in under a week. Why have I had only the crappiest dry cleaners experiences before finding Westwood? Usually they lose my clothing, input the wrong number into my account, or are just apathetic when it comes to customer service. Westwood actually lives up to the Yelp hype. Westwood deserves 5 stars and are "as good as it gets". They are not only the best dry cleaner I've used, their customer service is some of the best I've encountered in any business. I'll keep my review succinct and informative: --staff greeted me by name on my second visit and all subsequent visits. Amazing because months of time would go by between my visits. --have great attention to detail and work hard to get stains out. At times, this means cleaning a piece of clothing multiple times. --give customers a big, bright, purple nylon bag to take home to place articles of clothing in to bring back to them. --offer a great value. I don't price shop-around typically. I want someone who does a good job, and I'm willing to pay for it. However, they do a fantastic job and their prices are very fair and competitive. --are cost conscious. I had a large order of military dress uniforms and all the random pieces that went with it, like snap-in collars and sleeves, etc. They priced it in such a way to be the most economical. --have free suckers at the counter! They are a fantastic business, and while there are many other dry cleaners closer to where I live, it's worth the drive to North Ave and 87th in Tosa. read more

Pretty much the nicest people you're going to meet...and the dry-cleaning is done perfectly too!! I lived in Tosa, down the street from them. Stopping in once a week or so to drop off and pickup became a treat. Each time I walk in, the young lady and her husband get to know me. They ask about my family, my job, my car...and actually CARE what I have to say. So genuine. I moved recently to Oak Creek and yet I was driving all the way back to Tosa because I could not find the attention to detail nor the kind of friendliness that made driving in and out of that parking lot worth it. This is one of the best businesses in the city of Milwaukee, hands down! The actual laundry service itself is fast and consistent and in 3 years I have never had an issue. But almost more importantly the staff themselves are an absolute delight. It is abundantly clear they like working together- and their customers and business are all the better for it! They insist on bringing my pregnant wife's laundry to her car for her when she's picked it up. And I've seen them do the same for countless other customers (elderly, mobility issues, etc) as I've pulled into their parking lot. Great service, great people, great prices, cannot beat it. read more
