The rooms all have different names & themes which are lovingly and impressively done. It's a great place for a family gathering as there's loads of outdoor space: 1) large Fire pit in back, 2) Gazebo with lawn games, 3) picnic tables. Then, in front are the BBQ grills and several different-styled patio tables, as well as, 2 colorful nostalgic metal chairs directly outside each room. Lovely landscaping & flowers everywhere. Don't miss the bubbling brook just alongside the South side of the lounge and a peaceful spot to read. We visited Devils Lake Park, a diner in Baraboo, and an escape room in the Dells area. It's nearby lots of attractions. Oh yeah, the family that owns the joint are really nice

We stayed for a long weekend, and and it was the perfect location to get away. The rooms are all themed so when you call to reserve you can pick from the rooms they have available. We stayed in Unit 2, the Devil's Lake room which had photos of Devil's lake. The room included a mini refrigerator, coffee and tea, and alarm clock if needed. Right outside your door they have chairs and tables for enjoying the beautiful weather. They also have grills and an area for bonfires. I was only able to go to the communal area/lobby for the first morning as it was soon closed as they were started to do contactless check in/out. But it seems as though in less COVID-y times they have some coffee or tea there, light breakfast items like mini muffins or breakfast bars and fruit. They also had a communal puzzle and board games. Overall the place is super cozy, perfectly situated for a relaxing vacation with a number of restaurants and small shops to visit in Baraboo.

Nature had delicately coated…read morethe mansion and grounds with snow that created a sparkle like diamonds dancing in a grand ballroom. My curiosity and excitement to be inside this enchanted mansion turned to delight and grandeur when I crossed the threshold. Our Host and Innkeeper, Tom Boycks, greeted us with his charming smile and genuine welcome. At that moment I knew that I had entered a very special place, because I no longer felt like a weary traveler, but was transformed into a royal that has just arrived at the grand ball. Tom guided us through the breathtaking lower level, describing each room and sharing stories that furthered solidified that the Fargo Mansion was the grandest of mansions. We continued our tour to the second floor where the five beautiful and thoughtfully designed guest rooms were located. Each room has its own luxurious, marble bathroom with bathrobes and toiletries. Furniture and decor placement made each room appear grand and spacious. The room that we were staying in had a lovely sitting area that I found myself drawn to. The spot was so relaxing that I just sat there listening to the classical music that flowed through the air. My quiet meditation was ended when my daughter asked what I was doing. She was in shock that I could just be sitting there doing nothing (not even looking at my phone). Tom had provided us recommendations for our evening meal, which was much appreciated since we were not familiar with Lake Mills, WI. The evening wrapped up with relaxing bliss as we snuggled under the cozy bedding and enjoyed watching our favorite shows on the flat screen in our room. When I woke to the sound of my alarm I was greeted with delicate streams of sunlight shining through the lace curtains. My usual morning stumble to the bathroom was more like a waltz, I knew that the day was going to be amazing. I enjoyed an energizing shower (the water pressure and temperature was perfect). Now invigorated and dressed, I walked down the grand staircase to the glittering dining room where Tom greeted us with a warm "Good morning." The dining table was set for royalty and the breakfast that graced the plates was delicious. I was saddened to take the last bite and drink the last sip of my cranberry juice, because I knew that my visit was about to end. With my bags in the car and sadness in my heart, I said good-bye to Tom. A hug and a see you soon, sealed the deal... I would be back and soon. I pulled out of the drive with a smile on my face, because my reservation was made for my next visit. If you are looking for a life-changing place to visit then you must make your reservations for the Fargo Mansion in Lake Mills, WI. You will be so glad that you did.

Comfort Suites Wisconsin Dells Area - We stayed for a week, the outside garbage looked like this when we arrived and was still overflowing when we left.

Hubby and I came here on 7/3/26 to celebrate our wedding anniversary. This place is a short drive…read morefrom Wisconsin Dells which is a plus. Checked in at the front desk. The man at the desk was friendly and was explaining about the amenities of the hotel, including the free breakfast. All of a sudden, this angry woman who was a guest at the hotel, came over with the rest of her family which included children and interrupted by saying loudly "our room on the 2nd floor has bed bugs!" and motioned her young daughter to show the guy at the front desk the video footage on the phone. I instantly got alarmed and wondered if we made a mistake staying here. Our room was #104 so we carefully inspected the room when we got there and all looked okay so we decided to stay and enjoy our room. Our room was the 1 King Bed, 1 Room Suite, Sofa Bed with a private Jacuzzi. We were very pleased with the room as it was spacious, nice sized Jacuzzi to fit 2 people, loved the big, full-sized AND separate lighted cosmetic mirror by the sink where you can adjust the lighting! There were reading lights by the bed on each side. There is a shower in the bathroom which includes a place to sit which was a plus but suggest putting a safety mat there because it's very slippery and could be a potential fall risk. Appreciated very much the safety bar on the outside of the shower. One small one inside the shower would of been good also. Plenty of towels in the room, even for the jacuzzi. Chair, Desk, Microwave, Frig and Coffeemaker are all in the room. Here, there is a complimentary breakfast and the food is good. Nice selection of things to choose from. It would be nice if they changed up the breakfast - it was the same each day. I got frustrated by people seeing it's a long line for breakfast but was making two and three sets of belgium waffles in the waffle maker (each wafflemaker made 4 waffles). That's not a fault of the hotel but a sign to state one per use when in line might help. Big ups to the guy restocking food/kitchen supplies for the breakfast - he was working really hard. I also saw him working the front desk. Nice sized bed - hubby was comfortable sleeping and me relaxing on it. Sofa bed's mattress was super thin, not comfy, I could feel the springs. On July 4th, we were sitting on the bed, getting ourselves ready for the day. We were close to be ready, when we heard a knock on the door and someone say "housekeeping" AS THEY OPENED THE DOOR, COMING INTO OUR ROOM! It was two women and when they looked at us in the room they then said again "housekeeping". I told them "you can't just barge into someone's room, you need to wait to see if someone comes to open the door first. We'll be leaving in the next 10 minutes". I have never had that happen at a hotel before - what if we were indisposed or something else? Hope they don't do that to any other guests. They were friendly otherwise and did a good job cleaning our room. Lots of parking here. Our room was close to exiting either in the front by the lobby or the side door that took us to where our car was parked. Thank you Comfort Inn & Suites, we enjoyed our stay.

Rats in this hotel!! On the first floor. Beware!…read more Ew. Long streaky brownish yellow stains all over the sheets. Lamps over the bed were burnt out, and no lamp or light at all over the desk. They have a nice little lobby area, but the front desk clerk's strong perfume was so offensive, and the (totally unnecessary and weird) blow-up Christmas decoration so loud, you could never sit there and enjoy it. Finally, there were round fuzzy rats in the room, that dashed out just as I was about to eat my dinner. Lovely.
