We posted our shipment towards the end of May, for a local residential move and we booked with Bush Express Transport and Movers at the beginning of June, for a move date or Saturday, June 29th 2019. We got an email from L.B confirming our move that Wednesday evening, for the move to take place on Saturday. We agreed to meet L.B. and his crew between 7:00 AM and 8:00 AM on Saturday the 29th. On Friday evening (June 28th) I get a call from L.B. saying that his current job was running long, and would it be ok if we pushed our meet up time to 10:30 AM instead of 7:00 - 8:00 AM. I said that would be fine, as long as he was actually going to meet us at 10:30, and not any later. L.B. assured and reassured me that he and his crew would be at our address at 10:30 on the dot (this was all over the phone). That night he emailed us asking for the address. We did not see it until early the next morning, and we promptly replied with our address early morning on the day of the move. We called L.B. at 10:00 to confirm that his team was still coming to move us, but we got no answer. Between 10:00 and 11:00 I called three or four more times, and even called the secondary number he gave us, but we never got an answer back. I AM WRITING THIS REVIEW 7 DAYS AFTER THE MOVE WAS SUPPOSED TO HAPPEN AND I STILL HAVE NOT HEARD BACK FROM L.B. . NO APOLOGIES OR EXPLANATION AS TO WHY THEY NO SHOWED ON US. We had to get a Uhaul and call over 4 friends to move last minute. I have never had someone so blatantly no-show on me like that before in my life, especially for a job that was booked a month in advance. I had asked them to consolidate their stuff since I know they hoarded a bunch of stuff throughout the years but they just didn't want to. So as soon as I got there, I looked around for a company that does international moving. It is not easy or cheap but thankfully, I was able to find Schmidt International after calling multiple companies, they offered a really competitive price so why not. I called and asked for a quote for them to pack up all our stuff and deliver it to Surrey. I must say the customer rep was really helpful. I scheduled for the packers to come at 8 the next day and sorted things out like how they'll pack certain fragile stuff or what not. Everyone who came was surprisingly right on time, which is pretty rare these days (LOL). They were all very pleasant and checked in with us to make sure everything is how we like it. My dad is a collector so there were some stuff that needed to be really wrapped up and secured to make sure nothing breaks so I was really happy about that. By the end of the day, they finished packing every single thing there was in the house. Oh, I was soooo relieved for it to be done. Since I didn't get to go with my parents, I told them to let me know how everything is when all the stuff gets delivered. They said everything was intact when they delivered it and everyone was very helpful which made the move easy for them. I'm pretty happy with this moving companies services.
