We came here for the Martina McBride Christmas concert and had wonderful time. She put on a great show and her voice is spectacular. The venue itself is a staple in our area and opened in 1955. Parts are outdated such as the restrooms but the actual auditorium and stage area have that old school concert nostalgia if you ask me. Seating is plentiful but cramped. We had balcony seats which were great and I must say, there really isn't a bad set in the place. Drinks and snacks available at the concession area where pricing wasn't too bad. Parking was a different issue. This venue sits on a two way street so get there early and be prepared to wait in traffic. Now, we pulled into the parking lot and notice a large parking area immediately to the right as you pull in is blocked. So we are directed toward the rear of the building where we find ourselves driving down a hill and into Packard Park, parking near some baseball fields. I would estimate our walk to be between 1/4 to 1/2 mile to get back up the hill on uneven terrain and into the venue. The kicker is that when we left, the parking lot I mentioned as blocked off was now filled with cars. You would think that the more convenient lot would be open to those who show up early and the later patrons directed toward the area we ended up parking in which is what I would call overflow parking anyway. Other than this parking frustration, we had a wonderful time and would come back for future events.

Went here for Trace Adkins and it was awesome! My only complains are the lobby and bathrooms are a little small but the building was great. OH and.... No drinking in the parking lot... Couldn't pre game :/. But the auditorium was pretty cool. Pack you in like sardines but was an overall great experience!

    Past Times Arcade

HO. LEE. SHE. IT…read more It took me a while to get here, but I've just been to the best arcade in Ohio. Past Times Arcade is absolutely fantastic. Maybe, just maybe, it's the best arcade that I've been to in the last 40 years! PTA has the largest "open to the public" selection of pinball machines that I've ever seen...this includes the Pinball Hall of Fame in Vegas and both of the big venues in Pittsburgh. There might be occasional pinball expos, and private collections, where more games are on display...but these are usually not open year round. Rare and cool AF games are everywhere! There are tables from 5, maybe 6, continents! Tables from "every" era in pinball history are represented, IN LARGE NUMBERS, at PTA! And critically, almost all of the games are playable AND are in GREAT CONDITION! I'm not sure how the owner and his team keep this many tables in such good condition, but somehow, it is the case. How about video games? You bet! PTA has over 200 of these. Selection? Lots of rare games and almost all the blockbusters as well. Are they in good condition? Yep. Less than 5 were not operational. Not a single game (that I played) had an issue with the controls or the screen. Amazing. Also cool: There is a fair number (50ish?) of pre-transistor electromechanical games. Many of these were operational, but many, (such a Sega's Periscope) were, unfortunately, not up and running. Still though, it was nostalgic and (maybe even a little) heart warming to see them again. The games are set on "Free Play;" you pay 20 bucks to play all day. You get a wrist band and you can come and go as you please. If you're a kid, it's cheaper. If you're a veteran or a first responder, it's cheaper. Food? Yes. I admit that I didn't eat anything, but the kitchen and diner area sure smelled good! It was also amazing how clean PTA was, even the crapper was spotless. Booze? Yes. I didn't drink but the selection of canned adult beverages looked pretty extensive. Bottom line: I've been to some of the biggest and best arcades (and coin op museums) in the country. Past Times Arcade just might be the best. No shit. 5 Stars.

I might go so far as essay if this particular building, this particular, HIE, may very well be the nicest I've ever stayed. And support staff. Everything you want when it comes to feeling comfortable for the evening. I always rate based upon whether or not I would return: if I'm ever in the area, and I need a place to stay, this will be where I end up.

Now it's not usually my first choice I tend to stay a little further in but it's doable. The staff is so accommodating from when you check in to the complimentary breakfast served every morning. I have not had such treatment in a while at a hotel it was shocking. I will say the bathroom needs some updating as it seemed to hold in a lot of moisture. There were few places around the tile that needs some tender scrubbing care. The rooms also are not noise proof. You will here everything above you (I recommend staying on the top floor) plus everything in the hallway. Our room was by the pool and "gym" so there was heavy foot traffic. Now gym is in quotes because you're not getting a grand workout but if you want to do some cardio and some might lifting it will work. The pool space was nice! Very warm inside so be prepared if you're going to be in there. There was also a hot tub space in there too. I would stay here again when I come out to Youngstown, OH.

I am not a member of this club, but I was asked to come to dinner with two members of this club. I don't know what the membership includes, but I would certainly never pay a membership fee to eat here. Service was lousy, and they weren't very busy. It took us about 20 minutes to get menus and another 20 minutes for our orders to be taken after we had made our selection. As a former waitress when I was in college, I know that when your table is looking around and no longer looking at menus, they are ready to order, and a good waitress will notice that and take your order when you are obviously ready to order. No one seem to care here. The entrées we wanted we're not available because they were allegedly sold out, but it was very early in the day so I find that hard to believe. Poor restaurant managing perhaps? When the food arrived, nothing was very good. We all had three different meals but none of us would ever order these meals again here. But then again, I would never eat here again even if a member asked me to come with them. I had heard this place had very good food, but that was not the case when I was here. Not sure if there are new cooks or what the case is, but I would not recommend this place.

There was a bourbon tasting, movie night at the indoor pool and a dinner for a sorority! Also you could pay 100 in the cigar lounge to attend an event! There is no buffet for breakfast you just dine in that wasn't explained to us! We had a 150 voucher dining credit and I kept telling our servers that they never applied it to the voucher so we went to the gatsby on my birthday and spent the 150 in there! We ended up over spending because they never explain how to use the vouchers you get when you buy a package! The champagne that came with the anniversary package was nasty I wanted to exchange it for wine and they wouldn't I don't drink champagne. I think you should be able to choose if we want wine or champagne. Friday (day of birthday) it smelled like weed really heavily! It was so over baring!!! On Thursday it didn't smell like that but Friday and Saturday it was bad and it just made the experience not so good for me! I was so excited to stay here and been wanting to come and have that happen just put a bad taste in my mouth! Friday everything was loud and there was a lot of ppl everywhere! Kids screaming and running the pools were over crowded and it wasn't peaceful anymore! I stayed in my room all day on my birthday! Sad I just wanted to go home so we checked out early Saturday! I won't be back! My favorite place was the cigar lounge and the sauna only peaceful spots in the resort! Bae felt like it was over priced because of the kids and weed smoke and the young adults running around cussing and just being them! Even going to the bar takes a long time to get and overpriced watered down drink The Roman bath is gross. Broken tiles around two of the walls of the pool. No pool jets turned on the 3 days there. Stagnant milky colored water that gets no attention 24/7 cuz it's open around the clock . The food was not good. Everything overcooked. A burger was well done. Salmon seemed microwaved. All not good. Thank god for the Chop House next door. Fantastic dining experience and good food for half the price of the resort. Of course it's the only restaurant there NOT affiliated with the hotel and it shows because It was actually good with real and mature servers you'd expect . The rooms are very middle road for being high priced. Small. The bathroom is a joke and they have shower curtains with the tub for a 400 dollar a night "luxury" room. Not even an exhaust fan in the bathroom. The tv selection of cable is worthless and the beds are not good either. No elevator in the hotel for guests. What?!?!!! lol Staff doesn't give a rats ass about you - in fact, we overheard many of the kids they call staff ragging on this resort. They hate working there. Consierge? They don't know the meaning of that position. Clueless helpless people. . We made our time fun as we are those kinds of people but overall. The service sucks. Everyone there seems like a dead-eyed, don't give a shit 20-something summer worker. they probably don't care because they are dealing with buzzed country clubbers all day which can't be fun. A douchey atmosphere of people. I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone. It's overpriced. The Roman pool is gross and needs maintenance and is tiny. It's filled when 30 people are in it. The food is mid to bad and everything comes with an overpriced charge. I could have gone on a flight and hotel stay for the same price as driving here and staying 3 nights and 4 days. . We came. We saw. We left underwhelmed. Again thank god for the Chop House next door. It's saved the two dinners we had. Spend you money elsewhere. Hope this helps you decide.
