"You're not gonna believe this, but I'm in Ohio," I explain to a friend who has asked where my photos are from. This gorgeous resort looks nearly tropical. Being just over an hour from pittsburgh, this is a real gem. A friend and I went for a weeknight stay at the grand resort. Service was impeccable, even bringing me a drink when I was in the pool. There are lots of food options all day, and nine bars available. I've been here before in the winter for a wedding. The Roman bath pool is open all seasons. The gym is state of the art and lap lanes available for guests. Nothing fancy about the rooms, they are basic but we weren't there for them. Can't wait to come back.

The four of us stopped in for dinner. Not a great experience. Tyler served us and never removed one plate, glass or piece of silverware the entire meal. The peppers in oil were the highlight of the meal. All the mixed drinks looked great on paper but were not executed very well. The porky pig sandwich was good but it was pulled pork with very little burnt ends. The fries were cold. The sliders were a bust. The chicken parm was tasty but pasta was mush. Hepburn salad was lackluster. The pecan and cashew balls were good.

Something for everyone. The resort is well kept and very clean. It features 2 swimming pools and golf course. It has a beautiful gym and salon, relaxing massages and restaurant s. They have nightly entertainment pool side. The breakfast we had was delicious. For lunch we had a light snack of chicken tenders and fries. This is a good place to visit with the family.

Acts like it's supposed to be a luxury resort but it's more like a Motel Six. Food is awful, staff is checked out.

Maybe if they could keep the Roman bath clean but with all of the crowd, food, and traffic, might be impossible.

The actual bar that lines the back wall adds to the appeal of the place. They recently did some work in the outdoor area wherein there are places to take scenic photographs of which was taken advantage of during our school's prom a few weeks ago. The food is absolutely delicious as the the in-house catering outfit is led/ran by the owner and operator of a few local restaurants, Café 422 and The Candywood Wine Cellar. The offering was pasta with red sauce, Chicken Parmesan, garlic green beans, salad and cake for dessert. The chicken was perfectly breaded/seasoned of which was complimented by the excellent red sauce. Every bite was delicious. This place is becoming well known in our area and am told they are just about booked every weekend leading into 2024. This should also tell ya that it's a good spot to consider for your banquet/wedding/grad party needs. I have heard that you'll pay premium pricing, not personally confirmed, but based upon my few experiences here, it may be worth it.

Now it's not usually my first choice I tend to stay a little further in but it's doable. The staff is so accommodating from when you check in to the complimentary breakfast served every morning. I have not had such treatment in a while at a hotel it was shocking. I will say the bathroom needs some updating as it seemed to hold in a lot of moisture. There were few places around the tile that needs some tender scrubbing care. The rooms also are not noise proof. You will here everything above you (I recommend staying on the top floor) plus everything in the hallway. Our room was by the pool and "gym" so there was heavy foot traffic. Now gym is in quotes because you're not getting a grand workout but if you want to do some cardio and some might lifting it will work. The pool space was nice! Very warm inside so be prepared if you're going to be in there. There was also a hot tub space in there too. I would stay here again when I come out to Youngstown, OH.

This one has a complete JERK of a manager! When I made the reservation week ago, I requested a late checkout. That's a perk of being a Platinum Elite member. It matters to me. When I arrived, I confirmed the late checkout. No problem. At 11:46AM on the Sunday of my last day, the housekeeper knocked on the door. I told her I have a late checkout and went about my business. Moments later the manager called my room. He told me they're busy and have 49 checkouts today and that I had 5 minutes to leave my room or be charged with another day. I explained the steps I had taken and he tried to tell me that he "wasn't the person who checked [me] in". I told him that's not my problem -- that this isn't the first time I've checked into a Marriott hotel -- it's actually the third this week -- and that I'm acutely aware of and follow the process. Dejected that his bullying tactic didn't work (like they have enough housekeepers to clean 40 rooms in 2 hours), he said I could have my 2PM late checkout. What a complete jerk! I'll never return. Ever. And neither will anyone at my company. I guarantee that! About the hotel: there are 3 carts in the whole place...for 40 checkout's on a Sunday afternoon. The signage for the elevators is wrong -- at the wrong end of the hallways if you can believe it -- yet nobody has corrected it. The elevators have buttons missing -- front desk lady said it's been like that for a while "but they're not important buttons, so it still works just fine." There's no drawer in the room for utensils -- they're on a shelf in a plastic container. Bedroom 2 is so small you can't layout luggage anywhere other than on the bed or in the kitchen...and there's no folding luggage in either bedroom, which makes no sense whatsoever. The good: it's close to a mall and ballpark. The rooms were clean, albeit dated, and the table and chairs which is positioned in the middle of the kitchen, can be moved against the wall where it was supposed to be in the first place so you can plug in your computer. Avoid this place like the plague. No place is worth being bullied. And there are Marriott and other hotels within walking distance to choose from. What a jerk!

It smelled like hot dogs or fried bologna and it did not go away. It was super strong and became nauseating. We were too tired to request a new room at 10pm and I wasnt sure there even was another one available. It was a busy weekend. The plumbing fixtures were spotty and streaked and looked like they were cleaned with dirty water. We just drank out of our water bottles. That kind of made us skeptical to use any glasses provided Did not try the breakfast so I cannot review.

She says that she will have somebody there to Direct people where to park which is in the contract there was nobody there was no security officer for the alcohol as well she sat in our reception the entire time with her face and her phone with Jean shorts a tank top and hiking boots. And was very rude to all of the vendors. She said that she had a working refrigerator behind the bar she did not so one of our vendors had to go out and get more ice to keep drinks cold or run across the other side of the barn to get things out of her little fridge that she had in there to try to keep drinks cold and then when you can't find out to get the barn lights turned on for the reception and everything that she's supposed to have turned on good luck finding her because it took us about a half hour to find her. The venue was very beautiful but I'm going to be honest with you I would rather have this wedding in my backyard so I would not have to deal with her she is downright disrespectful and is very two-faced if anybody would like to know any more information you are more than welcome to message me I have screenshots messages to prove everything as well as Chris blocking my wife and trash talking my wife and the north east Ohio wedding group our opinions are our own everybody has a right to their opinion and their feelings that is what reviews are for so I would highly not recommend this venue to anybody especially somebody that doesn't want their bride to have to change in the middle of a field or in a Porta John with their dress.
