Packinghouse is an awesome Brewery that almost always has black beauty on tap. I only like Stout and Porters sometimes they even have a coconut flavored. On the weekends they have bands sometimes they have karaoke and a food truck. There's actually families and kids that play in the area outside and back One time we even went there, and my husband was able to get tattoos because they were having a full event. It was really cool! I believe this whole place started because of some last year high school alumni that I went to high school with it took me years to come and check this place out now it's one of our favorite places. Sometimes they close early or earlier than any bar of course. But they have a lot of delicious beers to try and I very much recommend checking them out if you've never been here. Service was good. First time here so we were expecting a variety of beers they only had 4 types and no IPAs. Beer was ok. What we liked is they have food that is from different vendors on different days. Saturday was Gordos tacos which was really good except the hot link we got was cold. I went for an IE Vegan Event that was held at the Brewery. I did not have any beer at this event. This review is strictly regarding the event. The event included multiple vendor popups from food to beauty to health products. Vendors set up in the alley behind the brewery, there was plenty of parking in the front of the business off of Central Ave. There were many picnic style tables and metal tables set up, but as the event started filling up, the tables went pretty quickly. I would suggest getting to this event early. We tried many different foods; Mexican tacos and taquitos and aguas frescas. The Jamaica-Strawbery was delicious! Also had vegan fried sushi topped with fried shrimp and fried tofu. Delicious vegan ribs with Mac n cheese. The ribs were made with jackfruit and mushrooms and covered with delicious barbecue sauce. Then we had fried oyster "chicken" and fried king oyster "fish." The fish looked almost identical to real fish, it was mind blowing. Everything I tried was out-of-this-world delicious. The brewery was taking orders and many people were taking advantage of their offerings of beer and cider. Please visit this event on Sundays, you won't be disappointed. Went to see my boyfriend preform in the band Gaba Groove last night at packinghouse Brewing company. We made it right as his band was getting set up on stage. This was their first show that was long so he was able to sing more! I don't normally drink when he performs but one his friends and one of my friends showed up so we had some beer. They gave me my first drink free since I was with the band. That was so nice of them to do so I told them I'd buy the second beer if they'd let Gaba Groove play there again. I knew his songs were in the second set so we were all ready to hear him sing. We even made him turn up the mic to insure we'd hear him. This was really the first time he really sang and my jaw was on the ground because he was SO GOOOD!! That was their best show out of the four I've seen. He was so comfortable on stage which was so hot to see. I'm super proud of him and I can't wait to see what next in store for them! read more

First time here and absolutely loved it! Drinks: We went in on a Friday around 4 pm and ordered a seltzer champagne-flavored slushie ($5 during happy hour) and michelada ($6 during happy hour). The lady at the front was so helpful and let us sample the beers and drinks before we decided what we wanted. We loved them so much that we got 2 more micheladas before we left! We also used the yelp check-in offer without difficulty. Entertainment: There is a stage where live music happens on certain nights. There are several games including giant Jenga, dominos, card games, connect 4, etc that we enjoyed. They also have corn hole set up. Seating and parking: Plenty of parking in the lot. Indoor and outdoor seating available. It was busy when we went and still every group had their own table socially distanced. There is no public wifi here. 2 restrooms are available. read more

All right so.. let's start with the good. This place has a good little vibe. The day I went there they had a vendor bbqing and a dj playing songs, they have cornhole and games, it's a great place to go to. But, if was gonna compare to other breweries in the area of similar size, this place can level up. The garage area seemed a little cluttered. October 15, 2021. Not from this area. I live many miles away but I stopped in here today just to kill a few minutes on the way to an appointment. I checked on Yelp for local breweries and this is the place that was the closest. I got the blond beer. Is excellent. Tastes like they know what they are doing. I can't say that about many other breweries and believe me, I'm no stranger to craft breweries. I am an aficionado to craft beer. I had a couple of other samples too. "Hola Hola" is an excellent beer that tastes like Kona coffee. Owner of this place is from Hawaii. That might have something to do with it! Anyway this place has some great tasting beer! From the outside this place looks small but once you are inside, it's pretty spacious once you start wondering around towards the back. I would come here again if I'm ever in this area again. read more

Another check on the list of breweries explored in the IE! The Packing House is located in an industrial space across the street from the Riverside Airport. You first enter into the main bar, where there is friendly staff serving up pints and flights. At first glance seating is limited, but the back door leads to a hidden oasis filled with additional seating, games (corn hole, Jenga, cards), brew tanks, and a full stage for live music. There is also a chalk board calendar that lists out the dates of performing musicians and visiting food vendors. Now for the best part.. the brews! I ordered a flight of four: Belltower Blonde, Black Beauty Cream Stout, Riley's Irish Red, and the Coffee Blonde. My favorite was the Coffee Blonde - largely because I've never tasted anything quite like it. The first sip tasted like a traditional Blonde, but the aftertaste is 100% coffee. Normally you find the coffee/Stout hybrid, so I found the lightness of the Blonde very refreshing. If you're not a coffee fan, 1. you're crazy and 2. the Riley's Irish Red is a brew that would be impossible not to love. read more

This was our favorite spot in riverside for a long time. Most of the owners are friendly and super nice! They always welcome your kids and dogs if our have any. Unfortunately, they have a "Very EXPENSIVE" cornhole game board in the back of the store. One of the "Owner" with bandanna on his head today was "warning" us that our 20 months boy was playing with his toy car on the board and those boards are VERY VERY expensive in the rude tone. We did say we were sorry and we will make sure our baby doesn't go back to "damage" the expensive cornhole board. But he still gave the mean look and keep staring at us after that, we had very bad feeling that he still talking about it. So if you have kids and cannot "control" your kids 24/7. Then this is not the place you want to go. Better find somewhere else that is kids friendly. read more

Busted a mission on the 91 to get to Packinghouse and I have no regrets. Not sure if I would ever brave the traffic for beer again, but my love for the Black Beauty Cream Stout will reign forevermore. As a UC Irvine Alumnus, I am not ashamed and will fully admit my residency at the pub on campus - awesome place, best place on the Irvine campus...hands-down, but my point: One of their usual stouts was the Packinghouse's Black Beauty Cream Stout. This stout isn't hands-down amazing, BUT it's a solid stout whose flavor packs enough punch for a smooth and consistent flavor. It's my go-to stout and it's what I compare every stout I drink because STOUTS ARE A GIFT FROM THE BEER GODS. This brewery is definitely smaller than some I've been to, but the quality of the beers and the customer service really shined through. My friend and I both opted to get flights, which included all but one of their beers that were on tap! I say all but one because it ran out, I believe that day it was their red. I really enjoyed the beers! My favorites (besides the stout) was the seasonal beer I believe (I forgot what it was called) and their House IPA and the Heritage Pale Ale. While the selection wasn't vast like some places you can go to, the beers here are solid and you know what you're getting and have consistent flavor. Best of all? And I think one of the biggest reasons I'm giving Packinghouse 5 Stars is not just because they carry my favorite stout, it's the service! The bartender was really helpful and friendly. He helped my friend and I out & was very patient with us, never making us feel rushed. He even helped us bring our flights to our table and gave suggestions for what to do with the rest of our cash leftover since we weren't local. (We ended up getting another pint and Packinghouse goodies, but that's just in case you were wondering :P) There's a good amount of seating for the size of the place! If the main area is full, there's benches if you turn the corner and enter the extended part of the brewery. That's also where one of the bathrooms are! PARKING: There's a pretty decent sized lot for the space granted, but I'm assuming during busier times and hours (I came on a Thursday night....during Finals week for UC's), it may or may not get packed but there is a lot. This brewery is located across from the municipal airport in the area. ALSO! IF IT'S STILL BEING OFFERED, BUY THE YELP DEAL FOR $15 for $30 WORTH. If I could've I would've gotten pints on pints on pints, but I had to head back to Orange County, so sobering up with the good ol' H2O was priority. :) But if you don't use it and you're local or go to school in the area, the bartenders will happily issue you vouchers good for whatever money that's still left if you don't spend it all. read more

Being a craft beer enthusiast, I try to go to as many local places as I can. Heard about Packinghouse from seeing people check in to their beers on Untappd (a foursquare type app but for beer). Love how it's clean and new. It just has a great feel about it. They usually have on about 8 or so of their beers. The Avogadro's # (DIPA) is outstanding. They also have a Boysenberry/Kona Stout... a combo you wouldn't think would work, but is absolutely killer. No food, as with most true breweries, but they frequently supply snacks, will bbq in the back by the fermenters, or have a food truck in the lot. This brewery is near the gym I work out at, so I popped over after a workout. The taproom has a big calendar showing events, happy hours, food trucks, live music, etc. The night I popped in, a band was playing some very loud rock music. Definitely was not my kind of music, so I was thankful for the outdoor patio to sit on. It is dog friendly, and there were 2 or 3 dogs when I was there. The beer selection wasn't huge, maybe 8 beers on tap plus a few frozen drinks. I'm a big fan of sours, so was disappointed they didn't offer one. I ended up going with the blonde, which was good. It did seem expensive, however, at $8 a glass. Overall, I probably won't become a regular here, but not bad for a one time visit. read more

I went to the packinghouse with my wife, parents, and friends on a Wednesday. The primary seating area is small, but I believe they had more seating in the back room area. They had 8-9 beers on tap. I ordered the pale ale and my wife the red ale. Both were excellent, they reminded us of one of our favorite breweries in San Luis Obispo. Another great thing was that on Wednesdays there are $2 off on select beer pints. The pale and red were both included in that along with a blonde and a stout called black beauty, which we also ended up ordering. The cicerones were very friendly, helpful, and knowledgeable about the beers. They also brew root beer, but they were tapped out on it so it must be very good. I can't wait to go back and try it out. Overall, this was a great microbrewery out in the middle of riverside. It was the first time I had been and will definitely be returning to try some more of their beer. CMoN MaaN' I wanna get my Boogie ON!..Ok' and now to the BeeR department..I tried the the OaK, Wheat with the blueberries,Rileys Red,CreaM StouT,and a Ale and they were all just decent to me,none of these BeeRs really stood out to me.I was really hoping this place would have some BeeRs that I like so I can have 2 local brewerys to go to,me being a big HaNgaR 24 FaN!!.. HaNgaR 24 can rest assured that The PackingHouse Brewery aint got nothing on them right now..They need to go back to the drawing board and come up with some new recipes or AmP Up' the ones they got cause they were lacking flavor to me.YeaH' so this place just didn't have that WoW' factor to me just decent,and another thing they were lacking was restrooms!!..One indoor and 3 outdoor which wasn't enough for this event..
