Service was AMAZING and fairly quick even with it being a Friday night. Drinks were an absolute SMASH! We got Mexican candy shots that were delicious & had a mango margarita. Those margaritas were surprisingly strong & soo good! Only reason it's getting 4/5 stars is because my quesabirria tacos I felt were dry and lacking flavor. We absolutely LOVE coming to Fire Up when we are craving some delicious Mexican food in downtown Riverside!! They remodeled their seating area and there is so much MORE room!! We were really impressed, and honestly it brought much better vibes! We went on a Friday night around 8:30 and were sat right away. The hostess was incredibly friendly and SO helpful, even went around and checked on tables to make sure everything was going good. Our servers were also just as friendly and helpful! Is it just me or a lot of Mexican restaurants incorporating some kind of Asian flair to their meals now. I've been noticing a lot of birria ramen lately at Mexican restaurants. Not complaining as I love both. This was a first time for me here. We were in the area and were walking around trying to find someplace for lunch. In downtown on Main Street, there wasn't much options to choose from as a lot of the places seemed to be closed or not open till later. We saw this place which there was 2 other guest on the patio but it was open. Checked out the menu but the birria ramen sign caught my attention. The restaurant itself isn't that big. Main seating area is on the patio which looks out to the boardwalk. Perfect for people watching. The waitress that took care of us was a major doll. Very sweet and friendly. Don't remember her name. Food wise, they had a good amount of your traditional dishes. I saw the ramen sign and that's what was ordered. Also the chicken quesadillas. Chips and two different kind of salsas was brought out to start. It could be a hit or miss on them but I can say it was a hit with these. Both of the salsas were quite tasty and had a nice spicy kick to it. Food, the chicken quesadillas were quite thick in the way it was prepared. Rolled and almost in a burrito formed and sliced for easy eating. Nice big chunks of chicken and a good amount of cheese. Came with a side of sour cream, guacamole and fresh jalapeño slices. Plus rice and beans which we opted just for rice. And of course the birria ramen. A decent size bowl with a very good amount of meat. Topped with red onion and cilantro. The broth was good. Flavor, it was decent and seasoned well. Overall, it was decent but the potions or meat made a difference. Food was quite nice and tasty. Both the ramen and quesadillas were enjoyed as well as the chips and salsa. It's a cute little restaurant which we quite enjoyed. Service was great and all the staff were amazing. read more

This place is so awesome, and the food is amazing! I reached out to Meaghan about their catering menu, and she definitely knows how to help make an event great! My organization was hosting a 30-person luncheon, and she helped us figure out what would work best for us and made amazing recommendations. She was constantly available to answer questions, even after we had booked the catering event. We ordered the French toast, chilaquiles, breakfast burritos, and breakfast tacos, and everything was amazing! Our attendees absolutely raved about the food. We kept getting questions about where the restaurant was located because people wanted to go eat there themselves! They also went above and beyond by neatly labeling each individual dish, which helped our event run so smoothly. The attendees really appreciated how organized everything was, especially the labels, and they provided more than enough individually packaged salsa for everyone. The quality of the food was awesome, and we will definitely be looking forward to working with Fire Up Grill again in the future! This place was cool. GREAT STAFF. There's a Hawaiian guy here who seems to be bar captain pushing out some great flavors on the fly. It's packed and seating is limited. I got a variety of hand foods but the Birria ramen sticks out as a good buy. When I had hit the spacey zone, the twilight zone, the Birria ramen grounded me and brought me back. The bathroom location sucks, can't really do anything about it but someone blew it up when we were there and it smelt like all kinds of budassy. Will return! read more

Very cool setting right in downtown. The patio is setup well and had a dj setup on a Saturday morning for brunch. The inside is small but still really nice. We sat at the bar. I just tried Fire Up's new little coffee spot, Cafecito, and what a lovely surprise it was! I ordered the Spanish latte with vanilla cold foam, and you can truly taste the quality. They use real vanilla bean, and you can even see the tiny specks in the foam, which made it feel extra special. The drink was perfectly balanced not too sweet, just smooth and delicious. Ashley was such a sweetheart and really helped me decide by asking all the right questions about what I like. It's so nice when someone takes the time to make sure you get exactly what you want. Then we shared the Jefe Platter and it was nothing short of amazing. Jess loved the chorizo tacos... I couldn't get enough of the burrito... and honestly every single item stood out. The chilaquiles were a knockout with just the right amount of heat... the papas were crispy and addictive... and the birria was rich and flavorful A special shoutout to our server Darren who went above and beyond. I asked about a margarita flight I'd seen on Yelp that came out on a flaming platter... but since we don't drink I wondered if they could do a mocktail version. Darren's eyes lit up and he said "I have just the thing!" Minutes later a flaming tray arrived with the most beautifully decorated agua frescas... watermelon... piña... cucumber limón... and an incredible horchata with coconut crème. That horchata stole the show especially with the mazapán rim. We raved about it so much that Darren brought us another one on the house And to top it all off... we were shocked at how reasonable the bill was for such a massive and high quality spread From the food to the service... Fire Up Bar & Grill absolutely delivered. If you've been sleeping on this place like we had... wake up and get here for brunch!
