When the receivers of our gifts (a husband and wife) went to spend the gift cards there they were told that one had a balance of "Zero" already. When I asked to speak to the manager, the manager told me to take it up with Customer Service myself, and I was directed to them myself! But how could this resolve the problem since they can't see me or my receipt in person? And why wasn't this their problem right there at the store since they had sold the cards to me? I had given the gift receiver my paid receipt; fortunately! What they alluded to was that the card had already been used, which was ludicrous. What an embarrassing scene this was for the gift-receiver standing their at the cash register and for me when she called me to tell me there was a problem. Again, I insisted l speak to the manager on her phone right then and there as the receiver of my gift stood there at the cash register. When I did, I insisted she handle the problem right then and there, and not put it back on me. Very eventually they did solve the problem but only after I insisted. I was told that they eventually found the $150. card that I should have been given, somewhere in their store and it had been canceled. They just wanted me to go away; but I wouldn't. Good thing I was persistent in insisting they handle this. I will never again purchase any thing for myself or anyone else in this store. Beware of purchasing gift cards. They have left me with the impression that they can't hire and train their employees in such a way that they can serve their clients properly. Cash only from now on and anywhere else. Can you imagine how frustrating this was for both the giver and the receiver. The gift receiver walked out of the store with nothing to purchase that day even though the issue with the card was cleared up. Why? Because while she was standing there at the register so long, they put all her merchandise back. If I hadn't spoke to the manager myself I'm certain she would have had to walk out of there without her new properly credited $150 gift card as well. She was forced to leave empty handed as she had spent so much time there already that she was late for a very important appointment. I'm still livid. How humiliating. Thanks for a Merry Christmas Dick's.

I arrived about 20 minutes before closing and wanted to try on a few items in the fitting room before making a purchase. When I asked to use the fitting room, the sales associate--who I later realized was the manager--responded in a way that felt rude and unnecessary. She told me that I was limited to six items, not to leave a mess, and that the store closes at 8. While I understand store policies and closing times, the way it was communicated felt dismissive and accusatory. I had just come from the gym and was dressed casually, and I couldn't help but feel that assumptions were made about me based on my appearance, as if I were going to leave a mess in the fitting room. As a frequent Nike shopper, I found this interaction disappointing and unwelcoming. To make matters worse, when I went to check out, the same manager switched places with another associate so she wouldn't have to assist me at the register. I've always had positive experiences shopping with Nike, which is why this stood out so much. I hope this feedback helps ensure that all customers are treated with respect and professionalism in the future.. Selection Tough part of the experience is they have really good sales so hopefully you know your sizes so you can be self served by yourself since associates are not approachable or act like their job is not to help or talk to you! Value Loyal Nike shopper but this experience is why I tend to just shop on Nike online.

First, thank you to Melissa!!! You were unbelievably helpful…read more I was so delighted at the large selection of reasonably priced shoes this store offered. I walk with a cane, so it took me awhile to traverse the aisles. I was collecting boxes of potential purchases practically from the moment I entered the store. Melissa came right over, offering to take my boxes & find a comfy spot for me to try them on. Right away she spotted two of the brands I selected, letting me know how comfortable other customers had found them for walking. She offered to find different sizes and colors, when I liked a couple of pairs and they didn't fit just right (even offering to order them for me). But, she worked her magic and ended up finding what I needed right in the store! I walked out with 5 new pairs of shoes that I love. Most of all, I feel great about my experience shopping. Did I mention that she offered to take the bags to my car for me? When I said 'No, that's OK', she rebalanced the boxes in two bags for easier handling and walked me to the door. Yes, I was fortunate, it wasn't busy (Tuesday, 11:00 - 12 timeframe), but I applaud excellent service when I receive it, and the service was EXCELLENT. (Melissa did say that Saturdays could be crazy busy.) If you are someone like me, who could use a little extra time and attention shoe shopping, I suggest you try this FAMOUS FOOTWEAR and definitely ask for MELISSA. (I told her I am calling in advance the next time I shop there to make sure she is working. And, believe me that visit will be soon.) Your very happy customer

Terrible customer service…read more Came in a little before 6pm on a weekday night looking to exchange a shoe to a size up. It was not in stock in that color and I wanted to try on the next size up in other color to see if it was the correct size to order. A woman who I guess was the manager started barking right away that they were going to close in 2 min. All I needed to do was try on the next size up in a diff color to see if I should order that size in my color. There was another family there shopping and trying on shoes. The woman said aggressively several times for people to come to register since they were going to close. So I rushed up to see what I needed to do to process my exchange. But she was not ready!!! There was confusion about the receipt, she pulled up the wrong account and wanted to send my exchange shoes to another state--it was a giant mess and the base of it was her rudeness and rushing of customers! If you want to CLOSE the store at 6pm, you need to have last customer enter at 5:30, 5:45. If you let customers IN at 5:55, then you really can't be barking at them to finish by 6pm!!! Honest to God, who ever would expect a big box store to close at 6pm anyhow??? The other two errands we were running stayed open until 8pm and 9pm!!! When I looked at the clock in my car after leaving, it was 6:08. Geez! 8 min past closing time. The other family, a man with two daughters just ignored her barking, came up to be rung up behind me and left the store after me. Good grief! Such an unpleasant experience! I'll think twice before coming here again! If you let a customer come in, then give them good service! Sometimes you might have to stay 15 min longer!

It is neither quaking, nor bridged, nor particularly Quaker, though I did feel a strange spiritual calm while waiting in line at Auntie Anne's, watching dough be twisted into symbols of carbohydrate comfort. Inside, time folds in on itself like a pair of clearance khakis. There are stores selling perfume, gadgets, jeans tight enough to restrict original thought. There's a Cheesecake Factory, which exists on the same moral plane as purgatory: vast, overlit, and full of folks trying to remember what it was they came in for. The mall is clean. The ceilings are high. The escalators move up and down like Sisyphus with a corporate sponsor. No one seems to know why they're there, but they are, floating from JC Penney to Old Navy in a retail daze. The air smells faintly of artificial scents and unspoken longing. There's something poetic about a mall in the 21st century. A living fossil. A place where you can still see teenagers in small herds, clutching bubble tea and dreams. Where old men power-walk past Forever 21, defiant in orthopedic sneakers. Where the Apple Store shines like a sterile shrine to tech-assisted distraction. Three stars. Not because it's bad; it's not. It is precisely what it claims to be: a mall. A decent one. One with enough stores to feel like you might find something, even if you don't know what you're looking for. It would get four stars if it had a decent bookstore. It would get five if it could answer why I felt slightly lonelier when I left than when I arrived.
