BEWARE! I used PacWest prior to purchasing a home. Just a few months later, significant dry rot issues were found. While working with a reputable construction company, they let me know that indicators of the damage should've been caught in the inspection process as these were issues that occurred previously and were present during the inspection. When I reached out to PacWest with the information, pictures, and invoices I received, they assumed no liability, did not acknowledge any mistake or missed issues, and were not willing to work with me at all to make it right. The entire front siding of my home had to be ripped off and replaced during the winter when it rains heavily every day. I was highly encouraged to move forward and get it fixed before more damage was done. PacWest continues to state that I 'waited too long' to reach out to them, when I reached out to them shortly after the issue had been brought to light and repairs were being made. Please learn from my experience. When you need a thorough, complete, and knowledgeable home inspection, look elsewhere. Zero accountability and poor work product overall. read more

We are purchasing a house in Portland, and the realtor recommended Grant Waller / Pacwest. Grant showed up early for a Sunday morning inspection. He was incredibly thorough in his inspection. Additionally, he identified the source of exterior water damage (condensate from the water heater exhaust), and had very helpful ideas on how to address the few problems he identified. This company is pretty dang good. I love that they use a drone to check the roof. I've had other companies come out, tell me the roof is no go and STILL charge me the full inspection amount...not even attempting to inspect it. On my new house, the drone was unfortunately grounded due to really dumb FAA regulations. A drone being a few feet above my house was not going to come in contact with a plane, I am pretty sure, but Kevin tried for a while to find a way around it. He then said he would go up as much as he safely could so I feel like I still got my money's worth. He also said he inspected the inside of the attic more closely to ensure no leaks. Kevin was on time, professional and explained everything that was taking place. I had some other concerns which he inspected and took pictures/wrote those up. I own multiple properties and he went above and beyond to help setup those inspections as well. Plus they take credit card. The last couple I used needed me to bring a check....too old school for me.
