Does this place ever end?! Geez, you could spend an entire afternoon here! Three levels of (women's) clothing, kitchen tools and accessories, toys, home décor and more! I was able to find a device that had been eluding me for weeks: a spiralizer large enough to handle the stupid huge zucchini that my garden churns out every year, and finally, I found success here! I've seen less selection of cooking doo-dads at big box stores, even those that specialize in culinary contraptions. Now, I'm going to have to pray there's a Paddington Station closer to home when I'm looking for the next gadget, or I'll be making frequent trips to Ashland. My wife had similar success, leaving with a dress for herself and our daughter, as well as a couple of cute flower rings. The selection here is almost overwhelming, but if you're like me, and at least *try* to avoid buying everything on Amazon these days, skip the big box stores, and make a stop at Paddington Station. If you can wear it, hang it up, or use it at home, it's probably here. Paddington Station is Ashland's flagship retail store. If you are looking for great home gifts, ornaments, stationery, kitchen specialty items, or clever books, there's gonna be a ton of options here. This store is the main one, out of a family of four locations in Ashland. And there's no wonder why they have been able to have so many of them. The family that runs these stores really know how to buy great selections of inventory, merchandize them well, and hire employees who offer top-notch service. I'm a guy. I don't like to shop. But - I don't mind shopping here. That says something. With one of the largest stores, on the main drag of town, Paddington Station is hard to miss. I am not a browsing shopper. If I have something in mind, I go in, do they have it? No? Then I leave. Browsing generally bores me, however, this store sucked me in and mesmerized me. We were there for at least and hour, maybe more. They have so many great items. Polish pottery, kitchen stuff, books, candles, you name it, it's there. I found kitchen items I had been jonesing for, polish pottery pieces that I had to have, another awesome coffee travel cup and many other little gems that I love. Nothing is junk, nothing is too kitchey, nothing is tourist trappy. If you go in prepare to spend some time there because you'll most likely fall in love with this delightful shop too. read more

This store has remained consistently wonderful on all my visits to Ashland. I'm seduced by the kitchen wares on the upper floor and the silly books and stationary on the main floor. Sure there are tons of items that aren't my style, but plenty of great finds if you search all three floors, including sale items in the basement. I like the concept of this string of stores. While they're all named Paddington Station, each store is its own separate location with its own theme and product inventory. The only thing is, that these store are all in Ashland, not far from the other. There are two of the Paddington stores that I found more favorable than the other two and those stores are filled with more gifty type of items. I was able to find some novelty items that I had been looking for for myself as well as some items as gifts. And luckily several were on sale. Which helps when you're on a budget and your unplanned trip is well, unplanned These stores are located in the downtown shopping area of Ashland, OR and are filled with quirky, funky, off the beaten path trinkets, gadgets, kitchenware, kitchen items, housewares, fun themed housewares, they're just fun filled stores. One of the stores is mostly Oregon themed and based items, from shoes, shirts, outdoor gear to magnets, and hats These stores are definitely something to experience when visiting downtown Ashland, they really are fun! read more

I always end up at Paddington Station at least once during our annual sojourns to Ashland. It's a big store with lots of tchotchkes and room to roam and browse about. There is also a back entrance towards Lithia that goes just past the "Key of C" coffee shop. The main floor has a wide selection of lots of different "stuff", while the mezzanine has a good kitchen wares selection. And of course there is the sale basement that is always worth a look. Luckily for me on this trip, I didn't find anything that was too cheap or gadgety to pass up, even though I didn't really have any use or need for it. read more

Gorgeous store with lots of tax free shopping!! I got my friend a beautiful pair of tech gloves at paddington! They are studded and are just gorgeous. The fact that they are tech gloves makes them even better. The sales lady was very nice and helpful. When I explained that these were a gift for a friend, she went out of her way to find a box and a bow and even put lime green tissue in the bag so I could give the gift as is! It was perfect! Fantastic items in this large store and with the service combined with the prices, make it a must visit when you are in the Ashland Oregon area! I love Paddington Station, but its little brother store (Inspired by Oregon) immediately adjacent made me feel like skipping out on both in the foreseeable future. After eyeing one of the Pendleton blankets on their shelves over the course of several shopping trips, I went in with my mom to make the big purchase. I asked the older woman at the counter if they had any back-stock or blankets in boxes so I could buy one that felt more untouched.. She initially balked, saying it was unlikely because "these things just fly off the shelves". When I responded with hesitation she grumbled and came over to the shelves to look at the product information. After much ado I was told that the blanket displayed was the only one they had.. and that it was "new enough". So with that I folded it up and put it back on the shelf. The woman watched me put the blanket back, and as soon as I moved a step away she came over, pulled it out with a heavy sigh, and asked another employee to help her "fold it up properly." So not only did I feel like a major inconvenience in that store, I also felt like she was offended that I didn't buy the blanket after the effort she had expended. I went home that day and bought the same blanket on Amazon. When someone is about to make a several hundred dollar purchase, the least the employee could do is pretend that the customer's questions and/or concerns are valid regarding the quality of the product. read more

I recently had a negative experience (the first ever, in the 16 years I've lived in Ashland). While using a gift card I'd received for my purchases, cashier claimed I'd used up my entire balance despite my knowing there was a decent amount of funds left on the card. After writing a negative review here, the owner, Kelly reached out to me apologizing for the mishap. She personally wrote me a note and mailed me a new gift card that exceeded the amount that would've remained on my previous card. I was thoroughly impressed by the quickness of her response, eagerness to make the situation right, plus the kindness and professionalism she demonstrated was very much appreciated. Paddington Station is a magical store. It has so many trinkets, books, handmade gifts, kitchen supplies....holiday related things....omgosh just so much to offer! This is the perfect place to go if you are looking for a gift for someone. Whenever I got someone a gift from here they raved on and on about how great it was. I've found very neat tea items for my tea-loving Grandmother and unique salt blends for my spice obsessed Mom. I always had to spend at least an hour in here so I could hit all three floors. Also all the employees who work here are very sweet and kind. I never had a bad experience with service. Granted, I could live in this store I am so fascinated by the random cooking supplies, it seems at times a bit excessive. Who knew that each different type of citrus fruit needed an entirely different juicing implement? The downstairs has gifts and books, etc. but the hundreds of times I've been in this store that section is a faint blur of things I couldn't care less about. A really fun store to walk around in. There are tons of cutesy things, as previously mentioned by other reviewers. There were so many great kitchen utensils and other goodies up on the second floor... it got me wishing I could bake. =P Lots of great random things... like chopsticks on the go! Who knew there was such a thing! I had to get those... for $10! Lots of books on Shakespeare... including the plays that the Shakespeare Festival was hosting (Comedy of Errors, Othello, Midsummer Night's Dream), as well as books about his life and famous quotes.
