We called to confirm the credit was still being honored, they were very accommodating. We reserved a space for 2 on a Wednesday for the Sunset Catamaran Sailing Cruise at 6:00PM. There's a meeting spot at the SB Sailing office at the SB Habor. Paid parking is available. We were able to walk from our hotel to the meeting location. Our sail was practically a private sail. There were about maybe the most 14 people, which was so nice. The crew was a Captain and his Assistant, both were very nice Unfortunate Mother Nature did not provide any wind that evening so the Captain had to use engine power that whole evening (it was a very tame ride). The sunset was beautiful glad we did it and it wasn't crowded. I think it worth doing once. Helpful hints: We went May 6th, I wore pants and a long sleeve shirt plus wore a light weight padded jacket and I was fine. It was cold and quit a few of the other passenger were freezing. The sail boat does supply blankets and 2 restroom and drinks and snacks purchase.

Even if you've never driven one before, it's pretty straightforward--just steer and move forward or reverse. Before we left the dock, the staff thoroughly explained how to operate the boat and went over all the safety rules. The guys at the dock were friendly, patient, and very helpful, which made us feel comfortable before heading out. We rented a 12-person pontoon boat for $190 for 2 hours, plus a $15 fuel charge. A $750 credit card deposit is also required at check-in. The only downside was the rental process. We tried to rent a boat on Saturday around 11:00 AM, but were told there were no boats available. The staff simply told us to come back later but couldn't give us any estimate of when a boat might return. We came back again around 3:00 PM, and unfortunately there were still no boats available. Since rentals are by the hour, there should be an approximate return time for the boats so customers don't have to keep making unnecessary trips back to the rental office. Fortunately, we checked again on Sunday morning after checking out of our campsite and were finally able to rent a boat. Once we got on the water, everything went smoothly, and our entire group had an amazing time.

We would make about 6-7 trips each season where we rented a nice 4 passenger 6hp(?) v-hull boat for around $125. The rental process was quick, and the office and marina staff were friendly and efficient. They also posted regular fishing reports. Then it all changed. I believe a new vendor took over the boat rental operations and everything went downhill. The boat rental process became very long and tedious, and you had to watch a 15 minute "safety " video each time you rented a boat. The staff also turned over and gone were all the friendly and efficient people. At times there was only one person running the whole show. They had to handle all the paperwork/video process and then walk you down to the boat and get that started. It literally took about 30-40 minutes per boat. Also, all the v-hull boats were no longer available and the least expensive rental option was around $250. I really miss the great crappie fishing and the beautiful surroundings. I hope that one day the marina will be back to what it was.

There's a one-bite uni and puffed rice appetizer that's always a nice treat, and I like the meatballs and shrimp cocktail and coconut shrimp too. I haven't settled on a go-to entrée, but everything has been pretty good. I can't remember everything I've had here, but I've enjoyed the linguine and clams, the curried chicken salad, and the monthly lobster dinner with asparagus and mashed potatoes. The kid's menu works well for my boys, who eat the grilled cheese, the chicken tenders, and the butter and marinara pastas. Honestly, I'd like the yacht club even if the food kind of sucked. My father-in-law got married here a couple years ago (bride and groom were youthful and glowing at 77 and 79), and it was a lovely venue for a small wedding, with the ceremony and the dinner on different floors of the club. When they're not getting married, he and his wife seem to treat the place like an extension of their home. The people know them and always greet them warmly, which my husband and I appreciate. The yacht club is now one of our default restaurants when we're in town, and both of our boys have grown to know and like the place. It's a nice, comfortable spot in the heart of beautiful Santa Barbara, where my husband and I can enjoy a leisurely drink (the wine pours are quite generous) while the kids hang out with their grandparents. We've already made lots of memories here, and I expect we'll make many more in the years to come.

Our guests had such a great time, and we heard so many comments about how beautiful the location was. Kayla made the whole planning process so smooth and easy, and was incredibly accommodating when we had to adjust our timeline due to my cancer treatment. The welcome party really set the perfect tone for the whole weekend--it was intimate, beautiful, and gave everyone a chance to mingle before the big day. Highly recommend the Yacht Club and Kayla specifically for any special event!

There are beds so take a nap and the captain will wake you up 15 minutes before fishing then a quick tutorial , pay attention if you don't know how to fish and ask questions . Thy do serve food in the galley, breakfast burritos and some really bomb hamburgers. Also drinks and beers . Great sport fishing experience if you're in the Santa Barbara area. Parking is $20 all day , pay when you leave, get there an hour early for choice parking and don't forget to check in at the bait/tackle shop.
