Such a great night out, everything was reasonably priced, servers and bartenders were fun and friendly. Scenery was great - honestly we were so happy after, made new friends, blew off some steam and just an overall fun night. Go for it!

I am shocked at the Bait and Switch. The company website does not state that there are different boats. It says Paddle wheeler, which most people are interested in. And that is what I thought I had booked and paid for. Almost $600 for 3 people to sit on cheap vinyl chairs for 6 hours, with a chicken salad sandwich and a danish pastry. Sitting on a very poorly maintained tour boat. The speakers did not work, which is ok, because the older lady talking the tour, with a reedy voice, was reading from her own hand written notes....but did not include anything relate to a Nature Tour, but we could not hear most of it, anyway. The rest of staff were working hard and we had fun, just because we always do. But this was an extreme rip-off, bait and switch. This second string boat might have been OK, if anything was maintained and functional. Very embarrassing for me, having booked this for my family.

The catamaran Beta Star which took us from New Westminster to Pitt Lake. Very comfortable.

Not hanging onto the side of a chopper, but looking all cool with the headset on. Since I don't have the kind of rugged job where I get to fly around rescuing seals or people or whatever, the dream came true in the form of a helicopter tour I arranged for my husband's birthday from SKY Helicopters. Their service lets you choose from an array of tours out of either Vancouver Harbour or Pitt Meadows Airport, and since it's just you and your party (up to three passengers) and the pilot, you can customize a bit. For our tour, I chose the North Shore/Howe Sound tour, which normally takes you in behind the mountains and through the Lions. The day I booked ended up being cloudy over the peaks, so our pilot Bryce took us up along the North Shore and around Cypress, up Howe Sound, getting amazingly close to the steep, forested mountainsides. I was also amazed to see how all those big mansions of West Van looked like miniature dollhouses and the cars on the highway all looked like toys. Coming back, we were able to spend a bit more time flying over Stanley Park and circling over downtown - which was great because part of the point of the trip was to get some shots of the city from the air with my husband's new GoPro. (If you're really serious about photography, they can even take the doors off, though I wasn't quite ready for that thrill on my first ride!) It was a little sad to touch down again after spending half an hour floating above the world, but the experience was great from start to finish, from the prompt response from Bryce on my initial inquiry through the website to all the emails, phone calls and texts keeping in touch about the itinerary and weather changes etc. (you never know out here!) to just taking us on a fantastic flight. I think we can all agree that Vancouver is a good-looking city surrounded by spectacular scenery. And it looks even more amazing from the air! I have experienced my city from a new angle, plus had a great subject for my 800th YELP REVIEW!!! The SKY is the ultimate high!

The original price they advertised as $90 for two people, but after the discount it was $45, then she realized after she made the payment that a 17% gratuity fee was taken without her previously knowing, which was a sneaky tactic of them. Still, we were both stoked for this marvellous experience for a discounted price. Burrard Queen boat: -Very outdated. Something reminiscent from the 1980's -Everyone was sitting by the windows which were dirty, and during dinner the waitresses and the engineer started wiping the windows with scented chemical cleaner (perhaps someone complained?) The cruise: -when we went upstairs to the deck we got to see some beautiful scenery of Vancouver (the best part but not in accent cruises control) as the boat was circling around aimlessly. Was hoping to see west vancouver !! Food (The engineer said the food is "absolutely delicious" with emphasis added and in a reassuring tone) -The "absolutely delicious" food was from Costco! -To ration the food a graceless cafeteria man wearing blue surgical gloves serving chicken and salmon was present -The tea was tasteless -for dessert it was some tiny piece of previously frozen cake with just a teaspoon of "real" whipped cream -Drinks cost extra and overpriced, so didn't bother The crowd: -Around 30 people altogether -Attire: very casual -No one looked super thrilled -Throughout the entire cruise the engineer guy or the director as he called himself stood around doing nothing except when he wiped the windows Overall: 2.5 stars. Definitely glad it wasn't full price, had a great laugh, lots of food and a great conversation with my gf Thank you for taking me :). Do not pay full price!!!
