In the end, I pursued another option thanks to a friend's connection that got me a very good deal. I contacted Watergate about some roofing issues at my home that I was aware were quite serious. I had two friends who both gave me a good reference for Watergate. One friend indicated they were they only company he'd dealt with that did not default to recommending a new roof. The other friend shared that they support Habitat for Humanity, a nonprofit I also believe in. So, I contacted the company and requested an estimate. They set a date, and their employee arrived on the day and at the time that was scheduled. As I recall, his name was Max. We discussed my concerns. He did a thorough search of my concerns, and indicated he'd be contacting me soon with an estimate. He provided the estimate within the expected time-frame, which ended up being pretty rare among the estimates I did receive. He communicated well. He followed up multiple times. I will note the estimate was the second highest I received, though considerably lower than the highest. However, in their defense I felt like Watergate was really targeting solving all my concerns. They do offer a financing option. One slight customer service quirk of mine - if I e-mail you, I expect an e-mail response. Both times I e-mailed, within five minutes I got a phone call. If I wanted a phone call, I'd call. This is relatively minor, but it did bug me. It didn't bug me enough to drop a star. Overall, I was pleased here. As I noted, I ultimately opted for another choice but I was impressed by the service here. It didn't feel high pressure at all, though there was intentionality. There's a difference. I love that they work in the community. Since I have two friends who also praised them, I have to still give them a thumbs up. While I didn't choose Watergate this time, I was impressed enough that I would still call them again should future work be needed.

Mr Lee was there from the day after we filed our claim until all the repairs were done met with our adjuster to make sure the adjuster got all that was needed to be repaired. After the estimate came in Mr Lee made sure all of the repairs were on the estimate(new roof, Vinyl sidding, gutters, & repair our fence). If something was missing he made sure our insurance made it right. When repairs were started Mr. Lee was there to make sure repairs run smoothly from beginning till the last repairs were finished. They were all very personal, professional and worked really hard to get it done the way that we wanted. They are very affordable for the level of workmanship. They put tarps up to protect the house and made sure nothing was left. You wouldn't even know they were here except for the beautiful roof they left behind. Purchasing was simple and they worked out the financing. They worked really well with our insurance company to make sure we could get everything possible for wind damage that we had. I wont need a new roof for a long time but if I do, I'll come back to Element.

After several months of waiting, we were finally granted a judgment against Carmel Exteriors (currently going by "Indianapolis Roofing"), a company run by Dylan Casey West and his wife, Quanesha (Nesha) Shane West (Kyles). The Court has sided with us, and I'm not worried about his threat to "deploy legal responses that you couldn't imagine" if we post a review. The truth is not libel. My main concern now is protecting other people from putting their homes and finances in jeopardy by working with these people. According to the Indiana Secretary of State website, they have filed for TWENTY-EIGHT assumed business names in Indiana, and are going by another one of those names (Indianapolis Roofing) since we filed our lawsuit. This is all public record. One of the main things that reeled us in were the dozens of positive reviews online. Thorough research and background checks have shown us that many of the "five star reviews" for Carmel Exteriors (now Indianapolis Roofing) were by their family members, people who live out of state or those who could not have hired them, as they don't own property.
