Great Spot for lunch or dinner. Food is tasty and reasonably priced for its portions. Good service and has indoor and outdoor seating.

I ordered catering from Padrino's in Plantation for my mother's 80th birthday, and I have to be honest -- it was a bit disappointing. We ordered a large arroz con pollo platter and the yuca with moro platter. The arroz con pollo unfortunately was very hard and clumped together. The flavor itself was okay, but the texture really took away from the dish. It felt dry and overcooked, and for a special milestone celebration, that was disappointing. I honestly wouldn't order the arroz con pollo from here again. The yuca was also inconsistent -- some pieces were soft and tender, while others were hard. When you're catering for an important event, consistency matters, and this just didn't hit the mark. I've had better experiences dining in, so I expected the same quality for catering. Sadly, this time it didn't reflect the level I was hoping for -- especially for something as meaningful as my mom's 80th birthday. I hope they tighten up their catering quality control because the potential is there -- but this order just wasn't it for $155 i expected better.

I was a bit unsure about eating here, but it also had been a very long since I have eaten here. Alot has changed, first and foremost they have moved. The new location is beautiful. It feels much more upscale than most cuban restaurants. The people working there were wonderful and our service was outstanding. The first thing that I noticed was my drink, NO can of soda! I hate it when I'm having dinner and they serve me a can soda. We started with a plate Mariquitas with mojo and garlic sauce. They were excellent. They were not greasy nor little bit. The only negative thing was we should have got two orders, one for our one friend who hortted up most of it and one order for the rest of us. As for dinner we all had different things, my friend had dolfin, his wife had a seafood stew, my wife had grilled chicken, my daughter had the special, some kind of seafood soup. And as for me I had to have some chicken soup, other then it of been a bit hotter, it was very good. Then for my meal I had ropa veija with boiled yucca instead of rice and beans. The ropa veija was really good and the yucca was incredible! I ended it with some flan, it was also very very good! Im looking forward to eating here again.

What a great restaurant! The atmosphere was open and bright. The patio was under a covered roof on the outside side of the restaurant with lighting on the tables. The front outside of the restaurant had very welcoming rattan couch and was playing great calming Cuban music. The staff were efficient and sweet and once our meal choice was taken we were left alone to talk. Once or meals came we were not approached u til our meals were completed. We finished all of our meals- the food was exceptional! The sauce on my shrimp was exceptional and I wanted to put all my rice in the sauce! The shrimp were cooked to perfection! The plantains were so good I could have eaten so many more! We will definitely return!! The prices were reasonable !

I have been to this location of Padrino's so many times I cannot believe I have not reviewed the restaurant yet! It is conveniently located in Plantation with indoor and patio dining, and it is decorated really cute. The food and service are always excellent! On this visit, I went with my daughter and my mother. We started out with cocktails. I had the summer Mojito, even though it was winter time, and it was delicious. ($13,00). My daughter had the Mamajuana old-fashioned and she said it was excellent too, ($15.00). . My mother had a glass of white wine. Our server, Matthew was friendly, attentive, and very knowledgeable about the menu. He asked us what we would like to order and he gave us lots of suggestions and clarification. I had the Cha-Cha chicken sandwich, $17.50, which I have had several times in the past. It is a thin, seasoned piece of chicken topped with caramelized onions and cheese pressed on Cuban bread. It also comes with a side, so u ordered the yummy sweet plantains. My mom had the picadillo, $18.00,) and my daughter had the palomillo steak, ($20.00). Both really enjoyed their meals as well. I have tried many different menu options over the past few years, and everything is good! If you like authentic Cuban food, or are looking to try something new; Padrino's won't disappoint! I know I'll be returning!

A packed restaurant during our entire dining experience. Gathered here with friends at a rear table against a long floral decorated wall which resembled a tranquil tropical setting. To our side was a beautifully well lit organized liquor bar. The inside was comfortable but the outside patio dining area was dimly lit, and although it was not humid tonight it did seem slightly depressing. Ordered the ox tail and churrasco steak lathered with chimichurri sauce. The appetizer was a large portion of black hummus surrounded by crispy plantain chips. Everything was flavorful and perfectly cooked The gender neutral bathroom was spotless with light wood plank flooring and palm tree wallpaper. Please remove the touchless hand blower from the room, thank you.

After a salty, sun-soaked day at the beach with our niece and daughter during our quick Fort Lauderdale escape, we craved more than just arroz blanco, habichuelas negras and ropa vieja. We ended up at Padrino's in Plantation and although we had a 30-minute wait, it worked in our favor. We ducked a few doors down, grabbed some cookies for later and turned waiting into a sweet pre-dinner ritual. By the time our table was ready, we were seated outside. The patio was cozy and thanks to the breezy evening, it felt like we scored the best seats in the house. Our server was patient and upbeat even as we piled on appetizer after appetizer, cocktails and then our mains. And here's the kicker- although Padrino's has multiple locations across Florida, this didn't feel like "just another chain." The flavors were bold, the portions generous and they didn't cut corners on details. AND, they cook with real garlic- not with the bottle kind. Cocktails could've been stronger though. It wasn't just dinner; it was the kind of meal that capped off a full day of fun!

Same here with family. Inside is very nice, modern ambience Server was very nice. Attentive to our order and filling up our waters and bread. The bread was very good I got in arroz con Pollo, which was solid but not something I'd get again. White rice is good and fries (shoestring) was good as well Would try other chicken dishes in the future.

Our first time here and I loved it. First off, I love the space. The restaurant has a really cool layout with open air patio dining that extends into the restaurant which was great for the beautiful weather we were having when we went. Their lunch specials are amazing and reasonably priced. Ropa vieja was an absolute hit with everyone. Their grilled chicken was delicious as well. Service was friendly and prompt and no issues with our order whatsoever. Try the guavarita-it is good!

Came here tonight with two friends and the food did not disappoint the hype. The waitress Noheli was friendly and took our drink orders immediately and had a dry martini that tasted wonderful. The soft toasted Cuban bread was a nice side but the black hummus and plantains were over the top splendid. I ordered churrasco but took a risk with a medium temperature since I'm just not a rare meat girl. Thankfully it was cooked flawlessly. My only issue with my visit was the tables were way too close to each other and felt like the guy's elbow at the next table was in my plate. Other than that minor issue my experience was great.

To find a Cuban restaurant with an authentic feel and incredible service can be quite difficult but Padrinos made it seem easy. This restaurant has so many options, with every plate having incredible flavor and coming out hot. This establishment is very family friendly while still being a nice spot for a date night, if you're into the type of food. They have a beautiful bar for drinks if that's what you're looking for as well. Our waiter was so kind from start to end, really enjoyed our visit to Padrino's.

This was a very amazing little Cuban restaurant that has been near me since I lived here and I never had the chance to visit until recently. As soon as I walked in I was greeted by a super friendly hostess who took us to our booth very quickly and provided us menus. Looking over the menus the prices are little on the higher end but I Justified it once I started eating because of how amazing the food was! Our server was very friendly and attentive and got our drink orders right away and brought out super fast as well. We ordered a couple appetizers and one of them, the tostones were heavenly! The crunch of the tostone was wonderful and had a nice flavor to it and not too greasy! I got the Vaca Frita which is a Marinated shredded beef grilled and topped with grilled onions that is served with white rice & black beans and sweet plantains. For $19 dollars it was well worth it because I had leftovers after filling myself up. It was also seasoned wonderfully and the grilled onions were the perfect final addition to this dish. The place was very nicely lit and open floor so you can see everything around you. The bar was stocked with almost every mixer you can imagine and had some wonderful prices for the drinks as well.

    Arroz relleno with maduros

Came here for the first time with friends who live nearby. Didn't know what to expect from a chain like this but it was great! Despite being dinner time, the service was quick and the staff was kind. We started off with the mariquitas and black bean salsa to share, which was fantastic. I then ordered the arroz relleno (which was the same as arroz imperial) with maduros and it was phenomenal. It didn't have mayo (and if it did, it wasn't a lot of it), so if you like your arroz with mayo, you might not like this one. But I thought it was great. The maduros were also perfectly cooked. Reasonably priced for good quality food. And before you say there are better/more authentic Cuban restaurants, I'm aware - but that doesn't mean this one is bad.

We had open table reservations so we were seated right away...the hostess was was very friendly as were our servers...we started with one guy but then we had another lady soon after. We ordered drinks to start...Pinot grigio for me and Corona for the hubby. We looked over the menu a bit and started off with 3 shareables..the eggplant with honey, shisito peppers and octopus gallega...The eggplant with honey was an interesting dish (in a good way) and very tasty...they peppers were good as well but my husband wasn't a fan of the octopus gallega. For the 2nd round, we ordered another round of drinks and then the pan con tumaca, manchego croquettes and octopus in garlic sauce. I loved the toast with tomato "jam" as well as the manchego croquettes...I would re-order both of these. My husband wasn't a fan of the octopus in garlic sauce as he felt it was a bit too salty. He also ordered another dish, the seafood salpicon and this dish he really loved! For dessert we opted for the crema catalana...similar to a creme brulee...it was good...I also had a latte which was a nice accomplishment to the dessert. After dinner we headed to their Hidden Speakeasy (behind the pantro door). In there we each had another drink to end the evening. They do have a food menu in there which was different from the restaurant. It would be fun to just come with a group of friends and chill for a while. All in all, a tasty meal and a fun date night!

There was one other table of patrons when we arrived, but we were the only people in the place until we left. The eatery offers lunch specials, but we went specifically for the half price paella (on Tuesdays and Wednesdays). We started with the pulpo ajillo appetizer, which is octopus in a red wine and garlic sauce. It was tender and delicious. For our paella we ordered the mixto version with chicken, shrimp, scallops, mussels, octopus, and squid. The squid melted in your mouth. The scallops were divine (even though they were the small bay scallops). Everything else in the paella was good, but I thought the rice was a bit too moist. Traditional paella should feature rice that is firm and not sticky. I even like the crispy crust that can form at the bottom. This paella did not feature either. We shared a creme brulee for dessert. It had thick caramelized sugar on top but the custard was very milky and not thick and creamy enough. Our meal for 1 appetizer, 1 paella at half price, 1 dessert, tax, a surcharge for using a credit card, and tip was $74. Service was impeccable.

We're always on the hunt for great seafood, and this Spanish restaurant exceeded every expectation. From the moment we walked in, we loved the atmosphere. The owner personally greeted us and escorted us to our table, making us feel right at home. Our waiter was absolutely amazing--attentive, friendly, and on top of everything. The drinks were perfect, and they brought out a small loaf of sourdough bread with butter that had the crispiest, crunchiest crust I've ever had. It was absolutely delicious. We started with the garlic shrimp appetizer, which was excellent. For our entrée, we ordered the Paella loaded with seafood, chicken, and chorizo. Chef's kiss! Every bite was packed with flavor, and it was one of the best paellas we've ever had. What really made the evening special was the atmosphere. It felt like one big family--everyone was talking, laughing, and enjoying themselves. It was warm, welcoming, and unlike any restaurant experience we've had in a long time.
