Havana 1957 is your classic cuban spot for all your cuban food cravings. Located in Pembroke Gardens this spot has all the delicious cuban dishes like vaca frita, masitas de puerco, cuban sandwiches and lechon asado. We stopped for lunch and tried the lunch menu items. We tried the pollo asado bowl which comes with rice, salad , big chunk of avocado and baked chicken no skin. The rice and beans were so good. Beans were a little watery but were perfect for my taste as this is the way i like them. Chicken had good flavor but was a bit dry. Waitress was fast but food took longer than expected and we had to rush back to work. Love the 1950's Havana nostalgia vibe with all the vintage cuban decor. Dimmed lights and nice bright bar area. Spacious with plenty of indoor and outdoor patio area.

Havana 1957 was a nice experience overall. We had family visiting us from a different country and wanted to provide a memorable experience for them while they were in Florida. In my opinion, trying Cuban food is a must, for anyone visiting Florida, since Spanish culture is such a huge part of South Florida scene. We found one or two other restaurants that offer better quality Cuban food than Havana 1957, but with vibe and music thrown in the mix, we decided to go with Havana 1957. We went on a Wednesday night, and though the place was mostly empty, it took a long time for us to get our food. We were a party of 9 so I understand how it could have been hectic for the chefs in the back preparing our food, but wait time of close to 1 hour felt a bit extreme. Our server was nice. The food was decent. The vibe was nice. The only bad experience I have to say, was that there was a lady from Visenta Studio walking around asking to take photos of us. Before we even got our appetizers, she came and asked if I wanted to buy the photos she took of us on a frame for $20 each. I asked her can I wait until after we eat to pay for the pictures? She said no, I am sorry right now please. I then asked if she can removed the photos from the frame because our family have to go back on Friday and they would prefer to bring just the photos and not the frames. I asked if I can pay her $10 just for the photo and no frame, and she said no it's still $20. I asked her what happens to the pictures I don't buy and she said they go in the garbage. I asked to speak to the manager to better understand how this made sense and she said the manager can't do anything because it's not his company. Honestly, this was such a frustrating experience and lost my appetite going back and forth with this lady named Samantha. I hold Havana 1957 partially accountable for going along with Visenta Studio and allowing this money hungry photographer to come and interrupt our dining experience. The whole experience would have been much better without this photographer engaging to ruin our experience. At the very least, Samantha (Visenta studio photographer) could have had humor and manners and offered to take free photo with our phone after we purchased two of her overpriced photos on hideous frames. I recommend this place to others for sure. I don't recommend you entertain the photographers from Visenta Studio. If they come by you said no thank you and save your money please. We are Florida locals who got suckered into paying tourist price for average pictures.

We came here because the restaurant we had wanted to go to was out of power. Luckily Havana 1957 was open and had power. We had driven all the way from Miami and were very hungry, so we were glad they were able to accommodate us. It was a little after 1pm and there was no one in the restaurant. After being sat our waiter, Pablo, brought us waters. I ordered the roasted chicken bowl. My friend ordered the Pollo Havana 1957. Both of the meals were delicious! I ate almost everything on my plate. My friend was only able to eat half of hers and took the other half home. I loved my meal because it was fresh and healthy. They had the option of brown rice. They had some lunch specials for $20. Mine was also $20. My friends was $24, plus an ice tea $4.50. Our check was a little over $50 before tip. I really enjoyed eating here. It's a nice, big, clean restaurant. I would return if I'm in the area again.

Came on Friday around happy hour time. To our surprise if you're not sitting outside you can't enjoy the happy hour specials. We started with the ropa vieja empanadas. Simply delicious and the dipping sauce is even better. I then ordered the griddled steak. It comes with Morro and yuca. I really wanted white rice and beans so I was able to swap out the sides for that. I thought it would still come with the yuca but I later found out the rice and beans count as two sides. I was craving a chicken soup but sadly this was disappointing. I was expecting it to taste like how my Cuban grandma makes hers but that was not the case. Between two entrees, appetizer, and small soup with no drinks it was $80. In my opinion it's very pricey. There's live music playing in the patio area. The inside looks very nice. Beautiful decorations and tribute to Cuba. The service was a little slow considering it wasn't busy.

We went into this chain restaurant on a Wednesday night. I had made a reservation for 6pm and the app made me reserve with a credit card. When we arrived, the place was empty. A few tables straggled in, but it was a rainy day here in Miami. The restaurant is very close the the World Cup, so they had the matches up on the screens. It was dimly lit and very cute. We were greeted pretty quickly and ordered a strawberry mojito and lychee martini. Both were good, strong drinks with lots of flavor. We opted for the tamal and empanada appetizers. Both came out very delayed but steaming hot-cooked fresh. They were both average in taste, nothing special. For dinner we had the crispy shredded chicken and the La Questada Cuban-this was a sampler with ropa vieja, carnitas and their special Havana chicken. Both meals came with their signature white rice and beans. Both meals were good and flavorful, but the pork and shredded chicken stood out to be the best. So much flavor! Portions are generous and service is attentive. I would absolutely go back with a group for a fun night! Check them out!

The vibe definitely makes you feel like you stepped into a lively little corner of Cuba -- music playing, energy flowing, and mojitos practically minding everyone's business. I had the yucca and shrimp along with the mixed appetizer tower packed with all the Cuban favorites, and honestly, the appetizers were the stars of the show. Everything came out flavorful, crispy, and perfect for sharing... or pretending to share while secretly claiming your favorites. The experience overall was fun, the atmosphere was vibrant, and the food delivered that comforting Cuban flavor. Definitely a spot worth visiting when you're in the mood for good bites, good drinks, and a little salsa in the background.

1/22/26 Thursday evening, it's busy but not packed, nice ambiance other room has live band playing Latin music. We had a large party , my work entire department came. I ordered to drink Virgin Piña Colada, taste amazing. I ordered to eat Churrasco steak with rice and a salad( I love the salad has avocado too), to finish night I had a cafe con leche. Great night great food.

Located at one end of Pembroke Gardens, this Cuban restaurant has good vibes, good happy hour, and helpful staff. Came with my girl Terri E and about 15 other lovely ladies and the bar was more than capable to handle all of us. They have a good happy hour but food and drinks are only at the bar while drinks are available at tables as well. I got the coconut mojito and it was tasty, not too sweet, but also not really strong. Terri and I shared the tostones rellenos and they were piled high with ropa vieja. Probably would be the most filling off the happy hour menu. I also tried the croquetas (which apparently you can order 3 different flavors in 1 order) and they were fried nicely. The truffle yuca fries were delish as most truffle fried items go. The fried pork was good and served with a small basket of yuca chips. Our server at the bar (Alex I think) was a pro handling all the orders and checks and chaos that ensures with large parties. Would definitely come back to try more of their menu.

This was stop #2 of last Friday Date Night for us. My ladyfriend and I enjoyed dinner nearby and weren't quite ready to head home. Located among the many restaurants in Shoppes of Pembroke Gardens, Havana 1957 was a nice spot for live music and a nightcap (or 2). The music - mostly salsa - was at the right volume for fun conversations and enjoying the vibe. There's also a live band that comes on around 10pm. We sat at the bar, where I enjoyed my moscato and she her usual Pinot Grigio. It seems like a lively spot to celebrate and kick off the weekend!

Havana 1957! We pass by after dinning. So we requested to sit at the bar area. Which had plenty seating spots available. I had my usual Pinot Grigio and gentleman friend had his Moscato and a coffee! I like the live band that starts like around 10pm. They sang some classic Latin songs that we all love. Guest got up from the table to dance. So it was nice and spacious that people are not right on top of each other. Great location to join your family or friends to celebrate a birthday. The place has a loud speaker that plays happy birthday. The location has lovely to wall decoration throughout the restaurant. We did not eat this time but I do plan to return for a Latin flavor dish!

I have been eating at Havana 1957 for quite some time and it never disappoints! The decor on the inside is so thoughtful placed. You really have to pay attention because there is so much detail wherever you look that it can be easy to miss. Nice big bar area and plenty of seating. Service is always friendly and very attentive. Let's talk food, croquets to start are a must! I got the grilled chicken breast with white rice and black beans. My go to at any Spanish restaurant because it's comforting, filling, and very tasty. I will say the portion of chicken this time was less than others but didn't complain because I don't need to eat like that these days lol. The Masas de Cerdo was cooked to perfection. Crunch and crispy on the outside but soft and tender on the inside. This dish is very easy to overcook so it was nice to see this attention to the food. Overall a great experience and il keep coming back because of it.

My family and I recently visited this Cuban-inspired restaurant in Pembroke Gardens on a Sunday afternoon, and it did not disappoint! They have a pretty expansive patio seating and very roomy indoor seating. We started with croquetas, which were perfectly crispy on the outside and soft inside. For my entrée, I ordered masita de puerco con arroz moro y plátano maduro (pork chunks, black rice, and sweet plantains). The food was amazing, and the presentation was a total hit it was served on what looked like a mini caja china, which added such a creative touch. The service was excellent attentive, friendly, and polished. Even the staff uniforms added to the authentic Cuban flare of the restaurant. My toddler was absolutely captivated by the space she wanted to walk around as if it were a museum! We finished with a slice of chocolate cake, which was rich, moist, and the perfect sweet ending. I also love that they have live music on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday evenings, which always makes the dining experience even more special. This spot truly delivers on flavor, ambiance, and hospitality. Definitely worth visiting if you're craving authentic Cuban food in Broward county.

Food was good. Although not the best Cuban sandwhich ever. Overpriced. The steak sandwich is made with roast beef, which i didn't order. The restaurant was empty and still sat us right next to another party of 4. Server was elbowing me in the head and back during the meal because of the proximity between both tables. Server was super sweet. Either a hostess or manger issue. The place looks like Disney's version of Cuba, and the prices are similar.

I proceeded to walk inside and I found a seat at the bar and I sat there. There were some people in there and I definitely wouldn't say it was dead, but it also wasn't crazy busy. There was three people working one lady with red shorts and curly hair another lady with blue pants and straight hair and then a short guy. I later seen a taller guy as I was leaving, he was not involved in my experience. The lady with the straight hair and the guy were on the side I was on they kept walking past and at no point seeing if I wanted anything, I know some bars you have to get the bartenders attention instead of them checking what you want so after 8minutes, I attempted to get the female's attention a few times for a few minutes and it did not work (she did serve other people during that time and was having conversation with ppl). Eventually, the lady with curly hair came to my side to make someone on her side's drink. I asked if I could order a drink and she motioned to give her a minute. She went back to her side, made the person's drink, then took some new orders from people and made their drinks and served beers.I waited over 6 minutes. Eventually she came to the side I was on and took the order of the person sitting directly to my right, completely ignoring me. At which point I concluded I was not going to get any service in this establishment and decided to leave after a total of 17 minutes of sitting at the bar and being completely ignored. I try to self reflect and think if I did something to warrant this treatment but I couldn't think of anything. The only thing that makes me feel slightly better is there was a guy sitting to my left that had a cup already and he kept trying to get her attention and she seemed to be avoiding him. I'm not sure if everyone was avoiding him for some reason and I was just unlucky for sitting next to him. I hated the feeling that this experience left me with and I hope no one else has this experience. The DJ was pretty good, even playing a few minutes of Reggae which surprised me. I ended up going to the Seminole Classic Casino and got service as soon as I sat down. The DJ was playing R&B and I ended up tipping him he was so good.
