This restaurant is a treat. They have authentic Peruvian food that tastes great. Everything is really fresh. My friend and I ordered lunch specials. It comes with a can of soda, appetizer and entree. This is valid Monday through Friday from 11:30am to 4pm. It is a great value. I ordered Causa for my appetizer. It is a potato with avocado, your choice of chicken or tuna and sliced egg. I chose the chicken. This appetizer was OK. I ate most of it but would not order it again. It lacked flavor. I ordered Lomo Saltado. This is beef tenderloin with a delicious sauce and white rice and fries. This was delicious. My friend ordered ceviche and a different entree. It looked similar to mine. I forgot the name.of it. She was happy with her lunch. Our server was excellent. He was very attentive and helpful with suggestions. read more

Located in the Home Depot plaza at the northwest corner of University Drive and Sterling Road, this is a spot with many retail stores. So, there is lots of parking. The restaurant is small, with room for about 40 diners. It's bright and airy and on a Monday afternoon at lunchtime the World Cup games blasted on the TV and the restaurant was about half full. It features lunch specials for less than $20 that include an appetizer, entree, and beverage. There was one main server and what seemed like an owner, who also was serving. She served us and though she lagged at times, she was very congenial. Hubby had the lomo saltado lunch special and paid extra for a ceviche appetizer. I love tacu tacu, so I had a pollo saltado with the rice dish. Both meals were delicious. We especially liked that they weren't too salty (often a problem with Peruvian saltado dishes). And I asked to have my onions cooked well and they obliged. My onions were perfect, cooked but with a slight crunch. I was a bit disappointed in the tacu tacu. I thought it was a tad dry. The gravy did help, but I didn't have enough and didn't think it possible to ask for more. Next time I will ask for extra gravy and stick with plain rice. They charge an extra 4% to use a credit card. (Something that has been cropping up a lot in restaurants.) We managed to dig out $65 cash between us to pay the bill. Stopped by for a quick lunch when in the area. People dinning seemed like regulars - coming in and leaving happy. Initially I was excited to see what the food would be like. After ordering a classic mixed seafood ceviche and a side of potatoes with huancaina sauce, I noticed the flavor of both the leche de Tigre and the huancaina sauce were missing a pop of pepper flavor that I'm used to. Also, after leaving my teeth and gums were itchy which rarely happens when eating ceviche. Overall, the food was good but i wouldn't go out of my way for it. read more

Food and service were very good. I just don't appreciate being over charged 4% for using credit card. NONE OF THE CREDIT CARDS charge 4% to their Vendors. Reasonable will be 3% max. Also, they included the tip in the bill. We were just 4 people. Florida law authorizes restaurants to include tip when the party at the table is 8 (EIGHT) or more. No FOUR people. If you want to branch out your palette just a little more, I highly recommend trying some Peruvian food! Oh Ceviche is hidden between other shops located in the plaza with Home Depot. Never knew it was located there but with the continuous flow of customers that came in and out, others did. The staff is very welcoming the minute you walk in and explains the special(s) that might be happening at the time. If you arrive during their Lunch Special, I recommend doing it as you get an appetizer, entrée and a drink with your order. Certain items are excluded from this special but it is noted on the menu. I was luck to arrive during to lunch special which I ordered Papa a la Huancaina. This yellow, creamy sauce over potatoes had so much flavor and the right amount of heat that I was scrapping every drop sauce off the plate before handing it over. For my entree, I ordered the Linguini a la Huancaina w/ chicken. This overall dish was super delicious. The chicken is flatten when cooked and the pasta to Huancaina sauce portions are perfect for each bite. Ceviche was order by my co works order which I recommend everyone to try at least once at Peruvian restaurant. For someone who is not a fan of fish or certain seafood, Peruvian ceviche is made a certain way to mask that fishy/ seafood flavor. You get this acidic, yummy bite from lime juice and onions that are included. I do recommend bringing some kind of jacket or coverup because the inside of the restaurant was very nice but extremely cold. I saw many parties chose to sit outside after being sat inside due to the temperature. Also the bathroom location, there is a hallway near the bar you will need to walk down to get to it. Must try spot if you like Peruvian food. I recommend trying the Causa as an app. The tuna one is really good. Causa is like a cold casserole made of potatoes with a creamy tuna mixture. This resturant serves it with a slice of avocado. As a dish the Anticuchos and Tallarines a la Huacaina with skirt steak are great choice. The sauce of the Tallarines is flavorful and the skirt was a great pair. The steak was a decent size and also cooked very flavorful. One of my guests had the pulpo roll which was good but a bit over powering on the onion flavor. I always stick to the classic dishes when I go to a Peruvian restaurant because those will be the best hit. On the weekends they sell picarones. They only make a certain batch so ask your server if they have any left. Picarones are a sweet fried dough dessert served with a delicious sweet dip like syrup. Great local place to get some authentic and delicious ceviche and other Peruvian dishes! We started off with the lemonade and it was made in house and delicious. We then got the causa sampler, which was also very good as it had a variety of either chicken, shrimp, fish. For our main dishes, we got the risotto with pollo saltado as well as the jalea. Owner says it's a family restaurant, but she was snappy & disrespectful in front of my four children because I didn't agree with her exuberant 21.5% in fees and gratuity added to my check. She kept snapping back at me because I asked them not to charge more than what was stated on my receipt, then she refused to give me a to-go cup because she has the personality of a stubborn child (see her response below). Located in a strip mall on the corner of Stirling and University, you might just drive right by this place. I know I did for many many years. I'd say it is a hidden gem but the restaurant was pretty full at lunch time so I imagine they have a pretty loyal following as they have been there for many years. We were absolutely craving ceviche and after some searching around on yelp we ended up checking out Oh Ceviche. We stopped by around 1pm on a Sunday and the restaurant was actually very busy, with almost all available tables filled! The interior has a small but welcoming feel with about 10 tables. Currently they are only seating about half of those tables due to Covid. As we walked to the front to order we looked around at the plates other guests had and wow! Beautifully presented dishes with really large portions, so we were very excited! After scrolling through the contactless menu on our phones we placed a takeout order for Fish Ceviche and one Classic Tiradito. We were told our order would take about 20 minutes. To give all of the other guests some space and not take up another table in the restaurant, we sat outside on a bench to wait for our food. We checked back in a few minutes early and our order was ready. The Tiradito was very interesting. It was my first time tasting Tiradito and I really liked it. It's much creamier than ceviche and has a sweeter taste to it. The ceviche was delicious, I loved the marinate and the size of the pieces of fish were perfect bites. Both dishes came with a few green, sliced red onions, Peruvian corn, and sweet potato. These sweet potatoes were the sweetest most tasty sweet potatoes I have ever tried! The order also came with a complimentary side of what I know to be called Canchita, however I don't know it's that is the official name, and two very flavorful and spicy sauces. The portions of both dishes were super large! We had leftovers that made up a whole other meal! Overall I loved the experience. Their menu has a great variety of Peruvian dishes and I look forward to trying more new Peruvian dishes I haven't had before whenever we visit Oh Ceviche again! read more
