We hired them for our wedding a few weeks ago and could not be happier with them. We tried two other paella caterers in Austin and Paellas, Tapas and More was by far the best tasting and offered the best value. The tapas were amazing and everyone raved about the food. We served seafood/chicken, beef/chicken/chorizo, and vegetarian paella which was all cooked on site so it was very fresh. We also served a spectacular salad and the natilla dessert was phenomenal. My family and I first met Chef Fer and tasted her paellas at a local flamenco festival in Austin and immediately fell in love with not only her tasty paellas, but also the love, passion, and care she puts into how she cooks. I engaged Paella, Tapas & More to serve 45 guests at a backyard garden party. Fer and her staff arrived early and started setting up in my kitchen. They were so organized and very quickly had tables dressed, flowers placed and beverages ready. When the guests arrived, I was able to enjoy the party with no concern for the food service. For a long while we were longing for a great Paella dish from Spain until we found Chef Fer at Paellas, Tappas, and More. Chef Fer is from Spain who loves to cook. The ingredients in her cooking are from Spain. We ordered for 5 people of the Paella de Mariscos (Seafood Paella), Jamon Iberico and Iberic pork loin, and bread knots with sun-dried tomatoes and thyme. The date is Mar-16-2021 at 4pm. Chef Fer came by our front door punctually. It was a wonderful meeting with Chef Fer in person with the Paella in the warmer. The Paella was still hot. Then the salad, the Jamón Iberico and Iberic pork loin, the bread knots and homemade bread. The seafood Paella ( shrimps, BIG clams, mussels, scallops, calamari, 5 huge prawns, and 2 lobster tails cooked in the rice from Spain ) , cooked in perfection, was FANTASTICALLY fresh and super delicious. Generous portion for 5. The Jamón Iberico and Iberic pork loin were AMAZING. It melts in your mouth. Combine with fresh garden salad with goat cheese, it was complementary to the entire meal. Chef Fer also gave us complementary Flan de Nata which is AWESOME. The entire experience is so satisfying. We love it. Now we found Chef Fer, we know where to go for the next dining experience. Great paella! Fer was great to work with and quick to respond to my emails. After going back and forth on dates and number of people, I ended up telling her we'd decided not to have our dinner party. But last minute, we changed our mind; I emailed her to see if she was still available to cater and with only a few days notice, she delivered seafood paella, salad and bread for 20 to my home. Her home catering is fantastic -- she dropped off the food at the time I requested, then she came back the next day to pick up her items; she just asked me to leave everything on the front porch and don't even bother washing the pan - she takes care of it. Chef Fer did a private paella class at my house last night. It was fabulous from start to finish. They arrived 30 minutes before start time to set up. The class was super fun and very informative. Amazing! Fer and her helper came out to a vineyard in Fredericksburg to cater our wedding. The seafood and Texas paella were incredible. I stumbled onto this authentic Spanish delivery and catering business because they are catering a full Spanish paella dinner in a few weeks for a flamenco concert at the Long Center. My father is Spanish and I love Spanish food, but we haven't found any real Spanish food in Austin -- til now. Chef Fer herself brought us an amazing empanada gallega (meat pie with delicious flaky crust), croquetas de jamon (like hush puppies, with a creamy ham filling) and threw in a Torta de Santiago (delicious almond cake -- and gluten free) right to our door, for just an $8 delivery charge. The chef even took time to talk about Spanish futbol (soccer) with me and my husband. We had a Spanish feast without leaving the house for a very reasonable price, and plenty of empanada left over -- it reheats great! So totally excited to have found real Spanish food, prepared with love and expertise by a real Spaniard here in Austin!
