The offices are clean, convenient to the interstate/central Fort Smith and as part of the Mercy Medical system (one of the largest medical providers in the region) you can expect excellent medical referrals, an excellent hospital and E R system as part of the Catholic affiliated medical care system. The roots of the local Mercy medical system go back to medical care founded by local Catholic sister in the 1800's.

I was badly stung on my foot, leg, and hand. After making it back to the lodge and informing the Ranger, I was given some topical ointment for the swelling and pain and took a few Benadryl but it was starting to look like I was having a bad allergic reaction. Within an hour, I had hives all over my body and was having trouble breathing. The ranger escorted us down the mountain to Mercy ER where they were waiting at the door for me. They immediately hooked me up to an IV and got the epi, steroids, Benadryl, and anti-nausea going to help me start breathing. It was a very scary experience and they were so calming and professional. I cannot thank Dr. Mary Pugh enough and her wonderful RN for their kindness. I am so grateful to them. You are in good hands if you need to go to this ER.
