I hired R.A.D. to replace the entire foundation of my historic home based largely on their stated…read moreavailability and their reviews. It was a massive mistake. R.A.D. was unprofessional, disorganized, and performed poor quality work that had to be corrected by another contractor. First, during the post and pier work, a jack failed, dropping the center of my house nearly an inch. I had to run out to catch the crew as they were going home and insist they come back to evaluate the situation. They wound up having to call their supervisor (who was offsite for much of the project) and doing emergency work to jack the beam back up and shore up the walls. This resulted in cracking of my woodwork and distorting of my cabinets. For comparison, the company that replaced R.A.D. managed to complete the project without so much as one additional crack. R.A.D. claimed to have completed the bulk of their post and pier work in November, and we were slated to start on the perimeter foundation replacement in early January. However, a few days before the scheduled start, the person currently managing R.A.D.'s projects (as the owners have apparently stepped back from day-to-day duties) contacted me asking about taking pictures for the permit. Permits for historic houses take months to process through the city, which R.A.D. knew when they sold me on the January start date. They could have easily taken the photos during the week they were at my house in November, but failed to do so. They sold me on a date they were unprepared to meet, and expected me to accept a three-to-four-month delay due to their lack of preparation. When I confronted their manager about this, he stormed off without a word. I then had a conversation with the owner of the business, who apologized for the delay and admitted fault, but refused to apologize for the behavior of the manager. He also offered nothing to mitigate the delay and issues. At this point it was clear to me that R.A.D. could not be trusted to complete the project. The owner agreed to finish up the post and pier work so I could move forward with another company. Imagine my surprise when the other company opened up the perimeter wall, and we discovered that R.A.D. had failed to remove eight of the old post and piers that they had been contracted and paid to remove. These post and piers were over a hundred years old and badly deteriorated. In fact, their deterioration was one of the main reasons we undertook the foundation project in the first place. The new company, SD Footing Repair (who I cannot recommend highly enough), evaluated the remaining post and piers and determined that they were still bearing load. They replaced them at cost, for which I am grateful, and finished the project with no further issues. The irony is that I only hired R.A.D. because of the promised January start date, while SD Footing Repair had been unavailable until June. Because of the mismanagement of the project by R.A.D., I wound up having to hire SD Footing Repair anyway, and the project started in July. I am kicking myself for not hiring the better company in the first place. R.A.D. was probably a decent company back when the owners were involved in the daily work. But based on my experience with them through 2025-2026, I would never recommend them to anyone. If R.A.D. chooses to dispute this review, I will be happy to provide full documentation to support every statement above, and can file with the California Contractors State License Board to allow them to confirm the details. I have held off on doing so because I would rather move ahead with the remainder of my renovations.

The sales presentation was professional, thorough, and gave us confidence that Falcon genuinely cared about its customers. We left that meeting believing we had found the right company for our front landscaping project. Unfortunately, everything that happened afterward was the complete opposite. Our project manager, Ari Sabo (also known as Harel Sabo), was unable to clearly explain how our landscaping estimate was calculated or provide a meaningful breakdown of the pricing when we asked. We repeatedly sought clarification but never received a satisfactory explanation, leaving us questioning the transparency of the estimate. Communication quickly became the biggest issue. We repeatedly had to reach out ourselves for updates, and there were multiple occasions where Ari/Harel was completely unreachable. When we contacted Falcon's office, we were assured that he would get back to us, yet there were still times when no follow-up ever came. The situation became so frustrating that my wife specifically asked the office to assign us a different project manager. Despite explaining our concerns, they were reluctant to make the change and ultimately kept Ari assigned to our project. We were told that our landscaping project would be scheduled to begin around mid-July. That timeframe came and went without a single phone call, update, or attempt to schedule the work. As of today, we have still never been contacted regarding the start of our project. At no point did anyone proactively reach out to explain a delay or provide a revised timeline--we were simply left wondering what was happening. What was most disappointing was how dramatically the customer experience changed after the initial consultation. During the consultation, Falcon made us feel like our business truly mattered. Afterward, it felt as though we had become an afterthought. Despite being ready to invest a significant amount of money, it reached the point where we felt like we were doing all the work to move the project forward instead of the company. Between the unanswered calls, missed follow-ups, and even our request for a different project manager being dismissed, we were left feeling ignored, deprioritized, and unimportant as customers. While we were waiting to see if Falcon would ever reach out to schedule our project, we hired another landscaping company instead. They were able to schedule our project within two weeks, communicated with us every step of the way, answered our questions promptly, and kept us updated throughout the entire process. The difference in professionalism, communication, and customer service was night and day. One of the biggest disappointments is that this experience affected more than just our landscaping project. We are currently planning a much larger home remodeling project and had originally considered Falcon for that work as well. We intended to use the landscaping project as an opportunity to evaluate whether Falcon was the right company for a much larger investment. Unfortunately, based on our experience with the lack of communication, transparency, follow-through, and customer service, it became clear that Falcon was not the right fit for us. They didn't just lose our landscaping project--they lost the opportunity to earn our future business as well. If Falcon had communicated after the sale with the same professionalism they demonstrated during the initial consultation, this review likely would have been very different. Unfortunately, that was not our experience. For a company that made such a strong first impression, the lack of transparency, follow-through, and customer care that followed was deeply disappointing. Based on our experience, we cannot recommend Falcon Home Improvements.

What really stood out was how he helped bring my vision to life early on, offering thoughtful design input and walking me through material options at different price points (good, better, best) so I could stay within budget without sacrificing quality. As the project progressed, his level of involvement never dropped. When challenges with the scope came up, Igor personally made the time to meet with me, walk through the situation, and clearly outline the best path forward. Even with a busy schedule, his attention to detail and commitment to high standards were consistently evident throughout the project. What also stood out to me was the team's attention to detail and commitment to quality. Our walls weren't perfectly straight, but instead of cutting corners, the crew took the time to properly float and prep the surfaces with drywall mud so the baseboards would sit clean and flush. That level of care shows in the final product. They also demoed an old closet that had sanitation issues and rebuilt it from scratch in a much better location, completely reframing it and improving both the layout and functionality of the space. On top of that, they finished faster than originally quoted, which was a huge bonus. The crew worked incredibly hard--sometimes late into the evening--to make sure everything was done right. What I appreciated most is that they didn't just stick to the bare minimum scope; if they saw small improvements that could be made, they took care of them without hesitation. During our bathroom remodel, they also went the extra mile to refit the plumbing to meet proper contractor code, which gave me a lot of confidence in the long-term quality and safety of the work. Cesar, the project manager, truly made the experience exceptional. He treats you like family--always responsive, always making time to address concerns, and consistently following up to ensure quality. Even when things got busy, he stayed on top of communication and made sure the right people were brought in when needed. His flexibility and problem-solving really stood out. The crew itself was equally impressive--respectful, professional, and clean. They made sure to tidy up after each day and even took the time to share helpful maintenance tips along the way.
