FMJ Concrete did an amazing job on our yard! They paved a large side yard, removed pavers to install a sidewalk path, knocked out a brick step and replaced it with a concrete step, added a short fence with a gate, and replaced the support posts for our wooden deck - including adding concrete footers. They also built a flat bad for the air conditioner and were easy to coordinate around with the AC vendor for disconnect/reconnect. Filiberto was friendly to work with and provided a reasonable quote for the work. He gave an itemized quote so we were able to decide what portions of our goal we could achieve with the funding we had available. The final cost exactly matched the quote I received. The team showed up on-time. They were very friendly and required no supervision. The project was cleaned up perfectly when complete. We requested a quote on November 13, began the project on December 10 and did a final walk through on December 30. That was probably a week extended due to delays (with my AC vendor) in moving the AC so the concrete could be poured and the Christmas holiday. I could not be more ecstatic with the final product. We will definitely be using FMJ Concrete again in the future and I highly recommend you do as well. read more

I would not use this company. They are very expensive. They have an estimator who comes out and never brought up any of the issues that my ultimate sole proprietor bricklayer identified immediately. Basically they're just out to figure out how much they can charge you, which was a lot. There's nothing wrong with the big companies but they have to pay all their employees and I guess I just don't like subsidizing an estimator who really did not contribute in any way to the job. I'm very happy with my new sole proprietor bricklayer and all that overhead is gone. read more

2 sewer drain caps in our garage had been epoxied to the cement floor. After numerous calls to many plumbers and concrete repair businesses who all ignored our requests for help (we assume they just didn't want the troublesome job), we found FMJ Concrete. Junior understood the problem and was able to remove the existing caps and replace with new ones. I contacted Fmj concrete for a 6ft permitted Retaining wall, and vinyl fencing. Jr was very detailed and worked very rapidly to provide the plans and permit process. He went to the city and took care of all the legal documents. Fast forward we received the permit, Fmj crew came in with their machines and demolish the hill. All work was being inspected and passed with flying colors. Now we not only have a wall that will last a lifetime, we have expanded out usable land and have double the space we used to have, can't wait to have them come back renovate our backyard. They salvaged a lot of the old pavers and wood so I can use them for future diy projects, which I totally appreciated. I recommend anyone else to do the same. There were two men who consistently worked on the project with a few others who turned up to work on specific elements of the build. This is easily a five star company. I hired them to build a retaining wall and pour a concrete slab. The quality of their work was amazing. I've worked with other concrete companies in the past and have disappointed when I saw corners being cut and just sloppy work. Definitely not the case with this company.
