My husband and I were looking to get our driveway, walkway to front door and large planter area to the side of the driveway redone as we had major cracks in the concrete. 2024 - Outstanding Backyard Transformation I highly recommend Luis (SD PaverScape) and his crew to those seeking to upgrade their exterior landscape and increase the value of their home. Luis provided an accurate estimate of project completion of 3-4 weeks - this project ended up taking 4 weeks (even with additional requests along the way). His pricing was also very competitive (do your research on costs). There were some challenges with this project, like torrential downpour that led to flooding but they hustled and removed the water using BUCKETS! There was also a challenging corner where their woodworking skills really showed it's experience. Though this wasn't necessarily a challenge, but they took it upon themselves to re-level parts of the pre-existing turf in order to make the yard perfectly graded! Huge thanks for that! Luis is a no pressure guy. I first made contact with Luis and came up with some ideas for my backyard in spring of 2023 but didn't actually start the project until Feb of 2024. Though, of course once the project started, he did a great job at regularly providing updates and communicating any changes that needed to be made. I made sure to approach Luis with pictures and ideas so he could give me his feedback. Luis is a true professional and his knowledge of the materials and costs off the top of his head made working with him that much easier. Luis is certainly budget friendly. The team: These guys are very respectful of the home and people living in it. Luis is the main point of contact but his crew are very pleasant in their interactions. During the longer projects, Luis rents out a port-o-potty so they do not need to enter the home for any reason, unlike other companies or handymen. One of the other great things about Luis' team is that they have a general start and end time so you are always aware of when the team will be around your home. No surprises! The project: Luis removed an existing wall and rebuilt the wall with a clean stucco finish, a beautiful wood fence and lighting for the wall. Laid a raised paver patio on one side of the yard with lighting. Graded and paved the main backyard area and capped the existing concrete steps with lighting. All of the wiring for the lighting is underground. Luis then wrapped the yard with 1/4 inch base rock. He also installed an extra electrical outlet for the gazebo, refinished the stucco at the base of the house and replaced a water spigot that was leaking. We will continue to use SDPaverscape for all of our outdoor projects. Driveway and front yard are next! Thank you Luis and the SDPaverscape team! I called him to set up an appointment for a quote and he ended up coming over 20 minutes later because he was already in the area. We had his team replace all the concrete in our backyard with pavers, which involved concrete demo, working around our AC unit, removing grass and re-working our sprinkler heads, adding a landing in front of the patio door, and installing a new gate. Their work was top notch, and when small things came up, as they do with all projects like this, Luis was quick to fix them or explain why his team had to do it the way they did (for example replacing one of the pieces on the landing).
