What an amazing find! I'm relatively new to the world of wine, but I know a great wine when I taste one--and Page has some of the best wines I've ever had. We enjoyed it so much that my fiancé and I became wine club members. The staff are incredibly friendly, welcoming, and always make sure you have a fantastic experience. The venue itself is beautiful, clean, and has a fun, relaxed atmosphere. I especially love that each table has a different game to play while you enjoy your tasting. I have been to quiet a few wineries around the area and non surprised me like Page. The venu is so cute, open and modern. Dog friendly and lot of games. They offer charcuterie for food. All the staff have been so friendly and knowledgeable its hard not to fall in love with the place. This has been the only winery that I loved the wine so much I signed up for the wine club member. Page Cellars in Woodinville, have you been there? You should. I know, as my mother would say, "you can't swing a dead cat in Woodinville without hitting a winery", and she is right. No worries, you do not have to go to them, just go to Page. Their wines are spectacular, that is well known. But, have you met the owner? Yes, you probably have and just didn't realize it. His name is Jim Page, and he is amazing. Example: I needed a bottle of his wine to impress a client, and Page was not open at that time, no worries, Jim said to come on down and he would meet me there, and he did. How cool is that? We used the Woodinville Wine Passport on my birthday to experience some new wineries in Woodinville and this was the highlight! The tasting room staff was very attentive even though at times it was extremely crowded (which made sense once I tasted their wine!). This is a winery who delivers on producing solid and affordable wine. Not only that, if you have the chance to attend one of their release parties, I strongly suggest you take advantage of it. They know how to spoil their patrons with live music, great food and of course excellent vino! I took advantage of such an opportunity last Saturday for the release of their Nouveau Merlot. This wine was done in the Beaujolais Style, young, light, fresh and delicious w/spice and berry compliments. The grapes were picked in September and the wine was bottled on Tuesday. I took home 2 bottles to share for Thanksgiving as this will compliment almost any dish! Seriously though, I don't know of another local winery doing this style and it is SO worth a try, you must go check it out! Another one of my favorites is their Libra De Carta red blend. A blend of primarly Cabernet/Merlot w/Malbec and Syrah. This has the most amazing black pepper finish. Their Lick My Lips Syrah is one of their more popular wines and with one taste you can see why. Loads of berry yet smooth and delicious. Not only is their product great, nor do they only put on a fun release party, they are always incredibly welcoming and hospital every time you visit. There is no pretention here, go enjoy the wine and company and you can be certain you'll have a great time! read more

Buyer (Membership Club) Beware: I cancelled my membership with Page Cellars back in February in writing, yet I continue to get charged for the wine club allocation on my credit card. If you're considering signing up for their wine club, know that you're in for the long haul and to check your credit card regularly. This is worse than going through one of those cheesy gym membership cancellations. I'm sure it's a great deal for them to charge people that are not getting any wine. read more

My girlfriends and I got lucky, we heard some music playing and decided to check it out. They were doing a release party for the new 2009 Lick My Lips. They had several tasting stations, some food to nibble on and a live band. We kind of got there at the end of the event but still had a fun time! Fantastic! We started out at a different shop just down the way, and I have to say the whole experience at the previous place was a little dry! No music, NO other guests came in while we were there..nice enough, but Page Cellars blew them out of the water. Brett was an amazing host and was able to work a busy crowd for a Sunday afternoon. My least favorite tasting of the tour. I don't know if it's because I'd just come from 5 other places but I felt the host wasn't that friendly. For $5, we were allowed to taste 4. Usually, I get to have three sips and decide if I like the wine. At this cellar, they poured just enough for me to wet my whistle once. Hm. And then the host told this crazy story about the cork bird house on the counter. I noticed it and she mentioned it was built by their first wine club member, making it a point to say he was mentally challenged and he and his wife showed up with it 3 months after they gave him the corks. I'm a huge fan of Page's "Ros-eh" and always buy a few bottles every year. It's my go-to wine, as it goes with a lot of different meals and is fun to drink with alone. I tend to like it when it's a bit sweeter, but even when it's a bit dry it's a great wine. At around $15/bottle, it's a great deal as well! Page's owners are also always so nice to the boyfriend and I...and for some reason I get the feeling that they recognize us whenever we come in (I wonder how many young asian couples they get coming in every few months) as well. It's usually the first place we go to when we make our warehouse winery tour because we like it so much! Additionally, every year they do a lips contest and chose a pair of lips to grace the next year's bottle of "Lick my Lips" syrah. I'm hoping that someday my lips will grace the label as syrahs also happen to be my favorite type of wine! read more

This is a really cool little spot among the wineries in Woodinville. If you get to interact with Brett you're in for a helluva good time. He's excited about the wine and clearly wants the customers to have a good time. The customer service and the atmosphere was great! The wines were also very good. They have probably the best Riesling I've ever tried. The cab was a bit dry for my taste. I'm not a fan of merlot but I tried theirs. Unfortunately, I'm still not a merlot fan. Wine is such a personal taste though I wouldn't try to talk anyone out of trying it. I would definitely recommend giving this place a visit! read more

I passed on reviewing a bunch of different restaurants and breweries, for my 100th review, because I wanted this one to be FIVE stars and nothing less. Choosing what to write about, once I got out of the restaurant/ale continuum, wasn't all that hard: Page Cellars. Maybe it's their labels, which look like someone's teenage art student did them, or maybe it's just that they've been around for a few years, tucked away out there in the Woodinville Wine Ghetto off 144th Street, or maybe it's just that they aren't the "Flavor of the Month", anymore. There are always a TON of new, bright, shiny, flashy wineries that everybody just MUST try, so the veterans (i.e., the people who actually have **experience** making wine and KNOW what they're trying to achieve) like Januik, DiStefano, JM, and Matthews can sorta get lost in the shuffle. I don't know what, exactly but page Cellars is *easily* the most overlooked and under-rated fine winery in this entire state. Bottle for bottle, vintage after vintage, there are very few wineries in the entire region that make wines with more character, finesse, and plain old-fashioned drinkability that what Jim and Rothelle Page pour at their tasting bar, every weekend of the year. Right now, for example, Jim has a gorgeous Sauvignon Blanc (and kudos to him for passing on making yet another knee-jerk Chardonnay) that drips Bordeaux character while offering up waves of that hallmark Red Mountain earthiness and depth. For 2009, also, Jim has whipped up a rose - called "Rose-eh" Get it? - that's an adventurous blend of Red Mountain Cab and Syrah; a light, fresh rethinking of the leathery muscle that shows up in that blend as a full-strength red. His reds, almost all of 'em, are velvety, big, and refined. The signature bottling, "Preface", is just flat-out one of Washington's top blends every single vintage. All Red Mountain fruit, from the amazing and somewhat unsung E & E Shaw Vineyard, this is a complex, engaging mix of 90% fat, jazzy Cab, with five percent each of Merlot and Cab Franc. It evolves remarkably as it breathes and the tannins, while firm and promising graceful aging, are understated enough to make it very drinkable right now. The "Lick My Lips" Syrah is just simply Sex in a Bottle. One of the most purely delicious wines of any type you're going to taste this year, this stuff is as aromatic as a South Georgia high school prom, sinfully rich, and powerful in that lithe, uncloying Columbia Valley manner. If someone offered to treat me to any wine in Washington - to simply sit, sip, and enjoy - this one and *maybe* four others would have to be in the discussion. The '05 "Libra" is a winemaker's blend of 64% Cabernet Sauvignon, 24% Merlot, 8% Malbec, and 4% Syrah, with a rustic, earthy style that begs for food and blossoms as it stays open and breathes. And the Limited Edition Cab 2005 is a towering, stately, dark 'n' mysterious bottle of ink that shows an almost-Old World structure married to a purely American drinkability. Just a beautiful wine. The Page tasting room is a comfortable, congenial place and the Pages themselves, Jim and his wife Rothelle, could hardly be nicer. Their genuine warmth and friendliness are at the heart of their appeal and of the style and quality of their wines. It should be noted, too, that here in the age of the rapidly-expanding sticker, the Pages have held to their prices far better than most other in-state producers. There is no bottle in their stable that is over $40 and the "Libra" and "Lick My Lips", at $27 apiece, are irresistible bargains. I'm very happy to be the first to review Page and to gently remind you, as a wine lover or a wine-lover-wannabe, of one of Washington's best Open Secrets, a winery that's only minutes away, affordable, and among the most consistently-crowd-pleasing in this entire corner of the country. read more

Super random stop at Page. Pulled into the warehouse district and decided to try something new. Of all the wine tasting experiences I've had over the years, nothing was even remotely close to what I experienced at Page. It was packed and Brett is a wild man! At first I was skeptical. What did I get myself into? I started tasting their lower priced wine and to be honest, I didn't really love any of them. I was already planning my next tasting room. The "regulars" around us were raving about how much they love Page Cellars and their wines, their wine club, their events, the wonderful family, etc. I was skeptical to trust their opinions on where to go next as I wasn't impressed so far. And there was Brett that was making me feel.... uncomfortably comfortable. Or comfortably uncomfortable. Hell, I don't even know. What I do know is that within an hour I was drinking some of the best wine I've ever had and joined my FIRST wine club. Take my money, all of it. Never have I ever wanted to be in a wine club. I like variety. But man, I could drink this nectar of the gods regularly. And Brett is a hoot. The wine club members there are loyal. The wine outside of the lower priced bottles are PERFECTION. Page Cellars, you converted me. I'm now willing to spend a few more dollars to drink something so heavenly. Amen. read more

NOT DOG FRIENDLY. They advertise as dog friendly but you can only have your dog on the up front patio by the parking lot where there is no wine service. So they aren't really dog friendly because if you bring your dog here you are not able to get the same level of service as non dog owners. It is a shame because it looks like a cool spot. read more
