We walked in and met Sheryl who was so warm and welcoming and told me a little bit about their lei workshops. Unfortunately we would be leaving before their next event but as we were speaking I was overcome by this scent throughout the small store. I asked what it was and it was this heavenly Jasmine fragrance. I tried the spray and then the oil and she sent us on our way and told us to come back only if I couldn't stop thinking about it. Walking around town I felt like a cartoon character where the scent is glowing as they pass by. It was amazing. Long story short, I went back and bought the oil. I love it so much and have been wearing it everyday since we left. I can't wait to go back and visit to take one of their workshops and learn more about the culture and traditions of lei making.

Sitting outdoors in shade, accompanied by Daisy the friendly lab, and the crew and staff, it was a pleasurable way to spend the day. We were using boxes and boxes of beautiful tropical flowers, heliconium, protea, ferns, and anthurium in cute little Valentines containers. So pretty. We also sneaked in a tour of the cool rooms to view the thousands of flowers they have, including a huge amount of roses ready for V Day. All the staff were welcoming and happy to share their floral expertise with us. Maui Floral have an amazing talent, growing their own flowers up country and sending beautiful arrangements globally. My preferred florist on Maui was closed so I searched the web and Yelp for alternatives. When I…read morelooked at the offerings from Fernhouse I was immediately struck by the artistry of design which wasn't cookie-cutter like so many others. Ordering the flower arrangement, scheduling the delivery, and paying for it via Fernhouse's website was easy, and I received the requested text message the next day when the order was fulfilled. When my friend sent me a pic of the flowers and thanked me for the gift, I became infuriated! The flower arrangement that was delivered BARELY resembled the photo of the arrangement I ordered. I am well aware that some flowers and fillers are seasonal and, at times, might not be available. But, I would expect a florist to remove the item from the website and/or contact the buyer when the greater majority of the flowers needed are unavailable. Among the differences: The sales pic shows 2 Birds of Paradise; my order contained 1. The sales pic shows beautiful red/orange roses and similarly warm-colored filler flowers (that are orchid-like); my order contained yellow pompoms and zinnia. The vibe is completely different. The flowers that were used are, in my opinion, of a lower caliber than what I was sold. Additionally, the arrangement that was delivered was by no means as full/rich as the specimen in the sales pic. Bottom line: what I paid for is very different from what was delivered, and (to me) this borders on "bait & switch." Additionally, had the arrangement that was delivered been shown on their website, I would NOT have considered paying $95 for it; mind you...that's $95 before tax, tip and delivery.
