My pain is intense and I cannot tolerate regular procedures. Dr. Burke was aware of this yet continued to try and treat my pain and with lack of pain control during procedures i was left yelling in pain during procedures. I asked for sedation during my pain procedure and what eas offered was minimal. He agreed to take me to Copper Ridge to sedate me so I could get treated... I waited 5 weeks for my appointment. Friday arrived and no call from Dr. Burke or his office. Come to find out they canceled my appt at copper ridge and basically said my pain isnt enough to be treated at copper ridge. When I called his office Friday morning his wife Kimberly got on the phone and said we have done enough to accommodate your pain and will not be taking you to the surgery center for sedation for your procedure. She has no business doing this and has caused issues in the procedure room with Dr Burke in the past. All they care about is sticking you with a stimulator. Dr Burke and his wife do not care about anyting other then a paycheck I now have back pain that previously wasn't there and the stimulator has completely ruined my life. Think twice folks... just cause they give you a warm and fuzzy with boston scientific i assure you its a joke....

I was receiving oral meds as well as infusion therapy treatment. In June 2023, McLaren Hospital decided to close the pain management center, without reason. The hospital gave the patients very little notice only to be seen for med refill one last time. I wish I was able to stay under Sam Morkos' care. He was attentive and answered my questions. He was never rushed and has compassion for his patients. I would have liked to have been his patient for much longer. Under his care, I had a new hope that I had not known before, for the management of my condition. In December I had the prescription filled at a pharmacy in DeWitt near my parents home. Guess what? The insurance did cover the medicine!! I was told by the pharmacy in DeWitt that West Michigan Pharmacy never even ran the script with a prior authorization and that is all it took to get it covered and for me to pay $1. I called WMP, Allison (pharmacist) told me she didn't even try because in 20 years as a pharmacist she had never seen it covered. What a lazy b***h. Her job is to count the correct pills and get insurance authorizations. And she did not take care of me as a patient. Also asked for my scripts to be transfered on December 15. It is January 15.....still waiting.
