The team at Physiofit was professional, knowledgeable and a lot of fun. For two months I went three times a week and I am happy to report that I gained almost full range of motion in that short time. The two therapists, Francisco and Michelle are wonderful, caring and gentle. Taylor, the tech assists will the exercises and keeps you on task. Damon the front office manager also assist with this as needed. The atmosphere is happy and fun with all the staff displaying a great sense of humor. I have to say I enjoyed my therapy sessions even though they left me well tired. I am so pleased with the results of my PT and know I would not have achieved anywhere near these results without this talented and dedicated team. I am so impressed with this office that I plan on returning for dry needling and any other physical therapy needs. They also do BPPV training!

I have 5 herniated discs (which eventually may result in surgery), and severe arthritis in my hips/back, & degenerative disc disease. I have inherited this cruddy back I have. (My grandmother had it & my mom is in a wheel chair.) I have stayed with this clinic for many years, all through changing owners and doctors. I have tried to find a doctor who would take my Humana AND take care of my pain, to no avail. (Hopefully, this clinic will eventually set up to take insurance.) I wound up back at this clinic because this doctor understands my pain and that I have ZERO quality of life, without my pain being managed. I have even tried going to "world renowned Ochsner," whom I found couldn't care less about my life or my disability. I have children and grandchildren to take care of. The staff here at Advanced is excellent. They are professional. The doctor is knowledgeable & in tune with all laws. There is a no BS policy here. If you are just drug seeking, this is not the clinic for you. He will weed you out. Bottom line is, sometimes you need to pay cash and do without many finer things in life, to be set "somewhat" free of pain. My quality of life has tremendously improved by being a patient at Advanced. I would recommend this clinic to anyone and everyone. If only the general public would stop judging pain patients and pain clinics, as I would be screaming this from the roof tops!!

The last time I did this I went to the ER and it took forever and my copay for an ER is A LOT! My specialty care is $65 so lesson learned so when I hurt myself again I decided to try this facility as they had an X-ray facility on-site and I could see a doctor in sport medicine. The whole experience was so pleasant from the front desk workers, X-ray tech and the doctor. Clean facilities, no waiting between phases I was in and out within an hour (That included sign-in, X-rays, nurse visit, doctor visit, and boot fitting). Highly recommend them and they have a nice physical therapy area as well (I did not try that part though)

Please review your EOB carefully after an annual physical at Ochsner…read more My son previously had an annual preventive visit at Ochsner and unexpectedly received an additional problem-oriented office-visit charge. Because of that experience, when I saw Jillene Amow, NP, for my own annual physical on April 30, 2026, I was specifically careful not to raise unrelated medical issues or seek treatment for a separate condition. Despite this, Ochsner billed both the preventive physical (CPT 99396) and a separate Level 4 problem-oriented visit (CPT 99214), resulting in a $25 copay. I disputed the charge, and Ochsner later acknowledged in writing that the Level 4 service was not supported. However, instead of removing the additional office visit, Ochsner changed it to CPT 99212, a Level 2 problem-oriented visit, and I was again billed the same $25. What apparently triggered the separate charge was that, while routine labs were being ordered, I asked to have my zinc level checked. I briefly explained that I had previously experienced neck itching and was taking over-the-counter zinc. I was not seeking evaluation or treatment for the itching. There was no new prescription, medication change, referral, or separate follow-up. The medical note itself says the condition was "well controlled with zinc" and that the zinc level was added "at Client request." What makes this particularly frustrating is that approximately one-third of my time with the NP was spent in a casual conversation about my skin-care products. She commented that my skin looked very good and asked what products I used because she was interested in trying similar products herself. That was certainly not a problem-focused medical evaluation. The issue for me is not the $25. It is the billing practice and lack of transparency. After my son's experience, I intentionally tried to keep my visit strictly preventive, yet I still ended up with an additional problem-oriented office-visit charge. I have formally requested a Coding Compliance review from Ochsner. I am sharing my experience because other patients should be aware of this possibility. If you go to Ochsner for an annual physical, carefully review your EOB afterward and check whether an additional office-visit code was billed alongside your preventive-care code. I believe patients deserve to know when something discussed during a preventive visit is going to be treated as a separately billable service, especially when it can result in an unexpected copay.

I completed an online appointment request and a NOLA Doc nurse promptly contacted my wife by phone early the next morning. An appointment with Dr. Berenson was made for 9:00 AM and he was right on time. He spent approximately 45 minutes speaking with my wife and getting to the root of the problem. Dr. Berenson was calming and at no point did my wife feel rushed. He provided much useful information and he patiently answered every question. He provided two prescriptions for pickup at a nearby pharmacy and even offered to speak to our primary care physician back home if required. Dr. Berenson was comforting and effective during a frightening time far from home. I highly recommend him.
