I've seen Dr Kiberd and her team for several years now - worked through injuries - and try to go frequently for tuneups. I've worked with their trainer, Matt, on lifting technique, used acupuncture and massage services as well. The entire process is seamless. The team is super accommodating. Appointments aren't rushed. You feel like you're being focused on. Yet, somehow, they are almost always on time and highly respectful of your time. I would recommend highly and have sent many of my team here.

I have seen all of these individuals: Dr. Kiberd, Dr. Clarke, Matt, Bethany, Megan and Dr. Splichal. It is so rare to find people so competent in all their respective fields all under one roof. The other place no longer takes my insurance and that worked out GREAT for me because I like this provider much better. Convenient location - I work nearby but also near the Fulton Street subways. The staff is great with working with my schedule. i.e. sometimes I need a shorter session in order to squeeze it in over my lunch break or I need a last-minute appointment. The receptionist explained today that I must paid $86 dollars first then on second visit will pay $6 since I am covered by Medicare, since I am retired from the government. They said they called the insurance and provided code. I asked what code was provided to the insurance and they refused to provide. I have excellent insurance which this doctor is in Network. I explained this is illegal to ask for money up front to a patient if I am covered. I called my insurance, and they agreed this is illegal to do if they are in network and have a contract with insurance. This is a warning to all those who make an appoinmnet to ask questions and if in doubt of their answer, contact your insurance. Doctors are not to ask for money upfront to a patient if they are in Network and have a contract, this is illegal! Very disappointed.

He is the first one who absolutely refused to manipulate my back and put my spine in alignment. He treats all his patients with electrodes and Ben Gay. I saw Dr. Kuang yesterday, and I am so glad I did. I've been having issues with my upper back for…read moreover a year. I also recently had surgery in my foot, where they re-aligned a bone with two screws. Dr. Kuang didn't just focus on my back. He looked at every joint and how they were impacting one another. He noticed one leg is longer than the other, and that's because one hip is higher than the other (likely to compensate for the pain in my left foot after the surgery). He then proceeded to crack and pull (I don't know the proper terms for this). It was incredible. Before COVID, I went for bi-weekly massages for help with the pain. My one session with Dr. Kuang made me feel better than any massage. He taught me some exercises and once they're allowed to do massages, I can get them done there. Also, when he sent me an email of exercises, I noticed in his signature that he has a blog about pain management (http://drgordonkuang.blogspot.com/). Dr. Peterson is very well educated about fibromyalgia and consistently provides relief for joint, muscular, and myofascial pain. He uses a combination of chiropractic techniques/realignment and e stim on trigger points. He also offers lifestyle/posture advice for pain reduction as well some stretches and strengthening movements. I feel strongly that he absolutely cares about my well-being and I really trust him. I have other friends who have gone for short-term issues and quickly recover with him; since I have a chronic issue, I have to go pretty regularly, but when my health improves they always reduce how often I come in (and increase if I have a backslide). What I'm saying is, I know chiropractors have a bad reputation for just wanting your money but that couldn't be farther from the truth at Peterson Chiropractic. The whole team wants the patients to heal above all else. After many years seeking relief for my chronic pain, I feel very lucky to have found Dr. Peterson. I'll also add, I'm a woman with PTSD and can get a little nervous with men providing any kind of bodywork -- you just never know when someone will turn out to be a creep. I thoroughly trust Dr. Peterson and feel at ease with him every time I come in. The admin and billing teams are awesome! They are very friendly and easy to reach (I iMessage with them). We've had miscommunications about billing before and they are always patient about it. Back before COVID they would have little themed parties for holidays and invite patients to join them for snacks in the back room. It was so sweet. (They go all out decorating the office for every holiday.) Billing is a little confusing. I'm out of network but they bill my insurance, which sends me partial reimbursements, and then I give those checks to them. I get some weird explanation of benefits from my insurance saying I owe a lot of money that I don't end up owing? I don't really understand the system but it means that, aside from a $250 deductible at the beginning of the year (payable with FSA), I don't have to pay for anything. This has led to some confusion in the past since I get paid by my insurance and then use that to pay them, and I can see how others might have issues with the system since it's definitely a bit convoluted, but it works for me and means treatment is very affordable. I found Dr. Peterson via a recommendation from a friend and I've sent multiple friends and coworkers his way as well. I cannot recommend this practice highly enough!
