Dr. Alex Eingorn is a great chiropractor and, equally important, a wonderful human being. He really cares about helping his patients achieve a full recovery, and is warm, gentle, and funny. I had never seen a chiropractor before but had such terrible pain in my upper back that I was ready to try anything. He was pretty confident that I had a herniated disc but sent me to get an MRI for full confirmation so that he can direct his treatment exactly where it was needed. In the meantime, he dedicated himself to reducing my pain. In about 6 weeks, I was pain-free and starting exercises and spinal adjustments to get out in front of the problems that led to the herniation in the first place. I'm now seeing Dr. Eingorn for periodic check-ins, while also working with Robin Galaskewicz, a practitioner of the Egoscue method for correcting body alignment issues through very specific exercises, also at Better Health. Doctor Eingorn is amazing. He is more than an old school "chiropractor", rather he looks at your entire body to find the source of your issue and only prescribes the minimally necessary treatment. I had a horrible herniated disc causing intense sciatica for which I followed treatment plan of the "renowned" doctors of NYC and was getting worse. Dr Alex knows how the body works and he steered me away from pain killers, injections, and the path to surgery. He did spine stretching and decompression on his "old school" drop table, electro stimulation, and Egoscue exercises and magically I'm getting better. When my pain flared up he would massage certain joints that magically made me feel better. Note that his new office is in a different location; as of 2018, he's now in 2 West 46th street and about to open his new space with a Himalayan salt room.
