Horrible, rude. Do not treat you with any courtesy at all when you call!! Just put you on hold and take forever to get back to you. I called back after 9 minutes on hold to cancel due to the flu and was again very abruptly and rudely treated- When I said "no" to being put on hold, I was sharply told, "Well, I'm the only one here." I said I needed to cancel due to the flu...the reply was "You're canceled" and she hung up while I was ready to give her my name. WOW what can I say... the longer I have been seen at this office, the more I can honestly say I have had the best experience ever. I met Dr Dabah and his group back in 2022 when PT wasn't helping. Between Dr D and my new dr a surgeon they continued working together to get to the bottom of my pain. Most drs would have washed their hands of me after all this time. Almost 2 yrs. to be exact. If you are in long term, chronic pain and are on Fentanyl ..... stay away!! This doctor is philosophically against this medication and will take you off of it. He is an arrogant, lacking in compassionate & close minded. This patient had to endure a 15% reduction in Fentanyl a month and lost 40 lbs because he didn't prescribe medicine to reduce the withdrawal pains. IT was HELL. He also did a back procedure called- MILD for the spin. He didn't even call after procedure to see how I was doing until I saw him for the 2 week post-op. In the end it did not work. Additionally, he doesn't like women that challenge him. In all my years (35) of working with doctors from Mayo Clinic, Northwestern & him, I have never encountered a doctor that threatened to escort my wife out when she had a strong opinion. read more

Neck Injections Helped Heal Cervical Subluxation An old neck injury re-surfaced during a recent dance routine and was causing me neck discomfort. I'd previously had Atlas Orthogonal adjustments to help realign subluxation in my neck. The Prolotherapy injections were added to help tighten and heal the stretched ligaments which recent x-rays showed were most likely caused by a whiplash injury decades ago. My body's own healing mechanism healed the neck but not in it's proper place thus causing an almost fused C-4 and C5. I had 10 PRP injections - five on each side from C2-C7 - into the ligaments. They were not painful but slightly uncomfortable and when I felt I was going to faint Dr. Dabah's assistant held out his finger so I could grip it and feel anchored. I was reassured by the doctor and his assistants all would be well. The injections took less than five minutes. After 8-12 weeks I had a lot more mobility in my neck especially on my left side similar to the Atlas adjustments. The difference here is that the ligaments are being healed by my own plasma through the administration of the injections. Dr. Dabah was reassuring, professional and quick and his team were very supportive and comforting. I highly recommend Prolotherapy as an added bonus in helping to heal upper cervical issues. read more

Dr. G pays attention, provided excellent referrals, is very knowledgeable and professional. Office is great. Very welcoming, Carrie and Amanda...the best. Am VERY disappointed Rich, the massage therapist, is no longer in the office. He was/is amazingly intuitive, a Reiki master and tries different techniques. Lomi lomi, tuning fork and bowl vibration are some very effective modes The new massage therapist is different and imo, the jury is still out. My first session wasn't relaxing at all. I am very happy with the care I have had I had a lot of pain in my shoulder. I did not want surgery. Dr. Dubah has helped me. He targeted the area with much pain and gave me shots to release the pain I also was suffering from back pain I could not stand for more then five or ten minutes. It was difficult trying to cook. This place must be hoppin' busy, because I had to wait several weeks to get in as a new patient for an appointment, even just with the Physicians Assistant, Brittany D' Orio. I was referred to Pain Therapy Associates by my primary physician from NCH Medical Group who is located in the same building, & thought it to be quite convenient to have both my physicians in the same building, so I walked down the hallway and tried to set an appointment as a new patient for the next soonest possible opening. Usually they want you to meet with one of their doctors for the first appointment, but that would not have been for far longer than I could possibly live with what I am suffering from, but for privacy reasons I will not get into the details of my own case, and just evaluate the company... So they were able to compromise and get me in with the PA, Brittany, and said the MD would be in the office, and able to pop in during my consult, to effectively evaluate my new case. So I set my appointment with the receptionist, and she handed me a packet of new patient paperwork to have filled out prior, so when I showed up on appointment day I wouldn't have to sit and fill it out then, I would be able to head right in to my consult appointment. Weeks past, and then it was time for me to go in today, bright and early for my 8am appointment with Brittany D'Orio, PA-C. Parking was a breeze, and right outside the front door, very close and convenient in their private parking lot, right off of Roselle Rd. When I walked in the door, I stood there awkwardly as both receptionists did not acknowledge my presence, and there was what I assumed another patient stating up at the counter, but off to the side, I was unsure if she was being helped or finished or what I should do... So I just took out my pre-filled out paperwork (which I had accidentally tossed, and remembered I needed so was easily accessible to print out under the "patients" tab on their website, just fyi incase you make an appointment and need the paperwork ahead of time) and held it in my hand standing there awkwardly. Finally the older lady in the middle computer looked up at me and didn't greet me with a smile or any sort of greeting but just waved me forward.... ok.... good morning? I handed her my paperwork and we did the copay and then she told me to take a seat. I was caught uploading pictures of the waiting room on the mobile Yelp (which I mostly do to pass the time.. just Yelp, Yelp, Yelpin' away) when my PA, Brittany popped out of the doors and called for my name, quite quickly after I sat down (phewfta! I didn't have to wait long!) I followed Brittany back to the patient room (you can see I took pics on here of what it looks like) and gave her my history, while she listened patiently and attentively. I have had a hard time with this pain of mine, and she was very kind and patient with me, and didn't make me feel rushed or hurried, or unimportant, I really like Brittany, and I actually feel like she wants to help cure and treat me, instead of just schluff me off, throw some random pain meds my way and say hopefully it goes away soon..no, I actually feel like we will come to a solution, and we are going to do it together, and I won't lie awake crying in pain anymore! Woo hoo! I have hope again! After meeting with the PA-C Brittany D'Orio (seriously, she is super nice) the medical director Carey B. Dachman, MD, FACR (idk what that last acronym means) came in, bing-bang-boozle poked my super painful area, diagnosed me, wanted to jump to injections of cortisone right away, but then sensed my hesitation, and just left it to hang as a possible option, but still pushing for it..he also suggested acupuncture, then left the room, and I finished my appointment with PA Brittany, who gave me loads of other options to try first, and then we will follow up in about a week and a half and see how those are working, and if we want to do the shots from there. I REALLY appreciated that she actually understood me, sensed my hesitation and cared about what her patient wanted and didn't just jump to pushing me to shots right away. That really mattered to me, and eased my anxiety. After we left the patient consult room, we headed back up to the front to set the follow up appointment, at which time, Dr. Carey Dachman was arguing sharply telling a nurse (?) about a certain box or procedure for a patient, but she was giving it right back to him with sharp sassiness, and it felt tense, and not sure it was the best to do in front of other patients...seemed unprofessional, & off-putting. When I was packing up the nice samples Brittany, PA-C gave me, she left back to the back part, leaving me without saying goodbye/see you soon/hope this helps ease your pain/any sort of "goodbye", nor the doctor, nor the receptionist, so I lingered there awkwardly for another moment, hoping to say good-bye to someone who just cared for me, or anything? Weird.. that's my -1 star reason. read more

I have been a patient of Pain Therapy Associates for almost 2 years now (found them after my 4th lower back surgery) and I have nothing but great stuff to say about this place and all the people that work there. It all started with simple phone call and scheduling the visit and turned out to be the most compassionate and knowledgeable place I could've found and make a call to. My Doctor is Dr. Dabah and I think there is nobody better to talk about your pain and frustrations that go with it side by side. His approach to make you feel comfortable is amazing and makes you feel like there are people who care, understand and that help is nearby. Dr. Dabah and his team including Christina will accommodate you anytime you call or contact them thru either receptionist or online patient service. I feel like a part of the family when there. I think we can all agree that life in pain is not easy. It occupies your life, takes over your thoughts for the big part of the day and Dr. Dabah with Christina can make it go away. Pain is a problem I struggle with but comfort of my life increased dramatically with their help and professionalism. I'll cut to the chase. If you do not agree with spinal injection get ready for a long trip. I was not thrilled with that option. No guarantee it would work or how long it may last. Meaning you get relief for a week or 3 months, then have to do it again. I was prescribed 2 different muscle relaxers and 2 different anti inflammatory . Neither of which helped with the extrme pain in the evenings. They did help manage it during the day. Left 2 messages pleading for direction.
