    I read the other reviews on this site for Dr Kalenowski and I don't really know what they are…read moretalking about so I had to speak up. Many years ago my friend recommended him. She couldn't say enough about how well he took care of her and her family before they moved out of the area. We decided to give him a try. My family has been seeing him ever since. He is great. He does ask the right questions and answers your questions if you have them. He's very personable. His new location which they have been at for several years now is a one stop shop so to speak so if you need an X-ray or blood draw it's far more convenient now than before. I highly recommend Dr Kalenowski.

I pleaded with him to do something about the pain, and all he said was "it will go away" Saw another doctor the following day, who immediately put me on strong antibiotics, and was astonished that my doctor did nothing. Called Kalenowski's office a few days later, spoke to HR about my pointless visit and suggested they not bill my insurance company after making me see another doctor to get proper treatment. She called me back a week later and said Dr. Kalenowski is going to bill my insurance even after his pointless checkup. He's lost a customer (3 actually, the rest of my family used to see him) and I am going to fight him with my insurance company. I'm done with his rude and arrogant attitude.

    My husband and I have been going to this clinic for 15 years plus. Everyone that we interact with…read morehas been good with the exception of Billing Department Supervisor, Helen Goodman. I was unaware of a balance due of around 27 dollars from 2 appointments earlier this year. I never received any paper statement thru the mail. My husband was in the portal and noticed my balance due earlier this week. Being a responsible individual I contacted the billing department and the bad luck to speak with Helen Goodman. The agreement to be sent One single email that contained the statements for the balance due. Also explained that I wanted to reconcile the statements with the insurance EOB.which is why I declined to pay when being pressed to pay. And reiterated that I only Wanted physical billing communication on paper sent thru the Usps. Well I got the statement and so much more. Every day since the conversation with Helen Goodman On April 29th 2020 I receive harassing multiple past due communications both physical letters and e mails. At least 2 have been threatening my credit by turning over my account to collections. What a terrible way to treat a 15 year plus patient in good standing. What terrible customer service, nowhere was I told on phone conversation that pain specialists was turning over my account overvto collections in 10 days and that I would be harassed with multiple daily balance over due communications. There was no consideration given to the patients length of time with provider or my 15 year plus history of paying my balance due. I did pay them 4 days later. I wrote pain Specialists a note requesting some responses on how I was treated and why all the harassment and credit threatening actions. I no longer feel I can recommend Pain Specialists of Greater Chicago due to this terrible customer service experience with the Billing Department Supervisor Helen Goodman Sent from my iPad, Carolyn Klans-Cerda
