Pain Therapy Associates Ron Herrmann; MILDS procedure; 2/21 I have a (nearly) 40-year history of back issues/problems. They began in high school, but didn't become debilitating until around 1976, when I was in my late 20s/early 30s. My first back surgery was in 1982, and I've had more since then, along with countless epidural injections, therapy, and on and on... For the past decade, I've suffered with a less-than-dull ache at the base of my spine; sometimes pretty tolerable - sometimes far less than tolerable. It's been the kind of pain that weakens my legs, sabotages my posture, sometimes 'knocks the tar out of me,' prevents me from participation in many daily activities, and robs me of enjoying life. Not looking for any pity here, but I'm assuming some of you can relate. I recently underwent a MILDS procedure (just ask Dr. Dabah about it; he'll be happy to explain/illustrate) for my L-4/L-5/S-1 issues, and it's been something just shy of a "miracle." (I dislike hyperbole, but there are times...) I'd forgotten what it was like to be completely pain free, and able to just sit around or walk around comfortably. Gradually, I intend to get back into the swing of things, and look forward to once again enjoying more of life. I've been a patient at Pain Therapy Associates for almost 21 years (RA, spinal stenosis, fibromyalgia, psoriatic arthritis, and a few other issues). They have always been aggressive in their approach to relieving pain. It's why I continue to rely on them when things flare up. Dr. Dabah is incredibly inquisitive and intuitive. He is very thoughtful and cares about each of his patients. He is very busy because of his professionalism. He does take his personal time with each patient, and is content along with being thorough to explain everything down to the fine detail of what is happening physically to the human body as it dwindles over time and our skeleton (as homo sapiens) diminish as a result of aging. In the case of what I am referencing/referring too, Dr. Dabah explains every option and exactly what will happen along with giving information pertaining to this case by case basis. Younger, handsome and very bright intelligent man that is serious about his work and with whom he does his work on. I 100 percent recommend this "Pain Specialist" to any human being out there. He is entertaining the new world of technological advancements, which is also why he is a superb Dr. in my opinion. I can only promise one personal factual statement to each person reading this review. One will not be the least bit disappointed by going to Dr. Dabah. That much, I can and will promise. Dear Readers, This IS the Good Doctor !! I have complicated injuries to my back which have had me in severe pain that grew drastically within the last year. It made it impossible to work out and even stretch. I am very grateful to Dr. Dabah for many things I believe you would appreciate in a doctor. On the first consult, he was attentive, compassionate and most importantly, had a conversation WITH me. Dr. Dabah made me feel comfortable to express myself and immediately came up with a game plan. Not a quick fix. Not come back 3 more visits and we'll address each pain individually. He took the time to explain what he believes may be causing the overall problem, started me on the recovery journey and as we progress, we may need specific tests but Dr. Dabah is determined to help find and heal the root cause as soon as possible. Nobody could ask for better!! The office is a welcoming, peaceful environment and everyone is really kind. I appreciate them as well. But, BONUS: The area where Dr. Dabah is able to perform is in the same building as his office!! My friend is already looking into an appointment. No kidding. My quality of life has been so much better since I started at Pain Therapy of Hoffman Estates. I am 72 years old and had terrible knee pain. Dr. Dabah and Uri are just wonderful. I first started out with a consult, then X-rays and then a treatment plan was discussed with me. I know I needed knee replacements but didn't want to have them. After treatment I am now able to walk with far less pain. my right knee is far worse than my left so I also had a Genicular Artery Embolization which is a new procedure offered there. I am so glad that Uri called me and explained the procedure with me The results of this procedure has made my life better. I am able to walk with far less pain and I am back to my old self. I was only able to work out in the pool and now I am starting to workout and walk on land. Pain Therapy of Hoffman Estates has taken me from a pain level of over 10 (13) to about a 3. I have more energy and am not as tired. pain just wears a person out and I don't even take a nap now. I'm back volunteering and enjoying life. Thank you Pain Therapy. I am a patient at the Pain Therapy Associate. I have never posted a review prior to this one. I feel it is my obligation to inform other like myself that there is a special place for help in the Pain Therapy office in Schaumburg Dr. Dr.Aboumerhi and the entire staff changed my life. I was in terrible pain and frightened of what could been done to help me. I saw several Dr's who could not understand what was needed to help me with my horrific pain before seeing Dr.Aboumerhi. Everyone in the office treated me with kindness and understanding. They realized I was in great pain and scared. I was treated like family and I felt safe and in good hands. I am still in awe that I am being relieved of the terrible pain I was in. There is help for you to also find a safe and professional place to get relief. I had the white coat syndrome until I found the wonderful people in that office. Pain Therapy Associates is outstanding. Everyone is so helpful. When you deal with chronic pain every day it makes all the difference to have friendly people like Carrie and Amanda at the front desk. And nurses like Alex and Michelle that are so caring and compassionate. I've been a hard case for pain management and Dr. Dabah has been so patient. He takes time to hear my concerns and continued to find new treatments for me to get me the relief I need to live a normal life. Dr. Dachman has also made such a difference in my life. I recommend Pain Therapy Associates to anyone with neck and back pain or with fibromyalgia. I can't say enough about everyone in the office - the receptionists, nurses, PAs, and doctors. I have been a patient of Pain Therapy for almost 9 years now. Dr. Dachman was the first to diagnose my diseases when 2 visits to Mayo Clinic didn't! I can't thank him enough for that. I started seeing Dr. Dabah for my back pain and he is awesome and so helpful! The PA's (Rana & Stacia) here are fantastic and so great at what they do. Rana has taken care of me and any issues that arise for so long- I just love her! I don't want to forget mentioning the amazing staff here. I have been going to this office for several years. I have arthritis in my fingers and some back pain that had been bothersome. My fingers hurt so badly that I had to quit one of my bowling leagues. After receiving steroid injections in the knuckles of my bowling hand, the pain is minimal. In fact, the last time I saw Dr. Dachman, he found that the swelling was gone; no injections were necessary. I highly recommend this practice to anyone in pain. They offer a multi-targeted approach to managing physical discomfort. I have availed myself of various pain relief methods: injections, medications, guided-imaging procedures, and massage. I have been going to Pain Therapy for I think 6yrs now and I always have the same results with them. It's a true fact that if it works don't change it. I can't put into words how grateful I am for all they do to manage my pain. I have been a patient of Dr. Dabah's for 2 years. He is a wonderful doctor. I am a physician who was forced to retire because of health issues and I am very particular about my doctors. Life changing team here and I recommend as many people as possible that share my disease here. After 8 years, I finally have found a Rheumatologist, Dr. Dachman, that listens, cares, and has empathy. I am finally being treated properly for my level of pain so I can finally get back to living life like a normal 30 year oId. They take good care of you here. Entire staff is great, whether you see the doctor or a PA they take a personal interest in your wellbeing and will do their best to help you feel better. I've been going here for many years keeping my knees pain free so I can keep working. Even the office staff is wonderful. Always very personable and willing to do whatever they can to be helpful. Dr. Dabah and his associates are the best, including the front desk. been going to them for two years. I do not react to steroids, and I have pain throughout my body and the doctor said we will not give up on you. I had to go see Dr. Wajde Debah at the last minute for pain in my shoulder from working out. The office staff was very accommodating and fit me in to the doctor's schedule. Dr. Debah and his staff were very efficient and friendly. I could not have asked for a better patient experience and it was my first visit. I have been a patient for over a year for back and arthritis pain.
