I absolutely loved Painted! I saw Grace and she never failed to make my hair look perfect. I slowly started to go blonde my Junior year at Elon, as I was always nervous to do it back home, and she made it look great and helped me slowly transition to the look I wanted. The price is amazing compared to MA. I can't recommend Grace enough. She is so friendly and would remember all my stories whenever I saw her. Adding to the praise of this amazing place because I don't see a review for Brittany. I had a bad previous experience with a local hairstylist (not Painted) where I left the salon with my hair gray/green-ish. I did a lot of research before selecting my next salon. This salon has you fill out a questionnaire with photos of your current hair and vision. When I met Brittany and explained what had happened she immediately made me feel at ease and talked with me through multiple options including pricing. The first time she was transparent that to get the natural look I was going for it may take more than one appointment, which I appreciated. She then did baby lights and glaze a second time before my wedding and it was exactly what I envisioned. Juli has been cutting my hair for the better part of 10 years. She is an absolute adept when it comes to consulting and understanding your needs and wants and being able to give a good cut and care routine. Painted+ is such a wonderful atmosphere and the people there are such amazing people and they are all equally talented. Had my hair done with Stacy... I have been going to her for a long time.... wanted to go to my natural hair color ... she said to let my hair grow out...so I did, my roots where light.. like white... I went to her and walk out with dark gray... when I called her for a redo ... when back in to have it do again .. it was better.. but not what I wanted.. another charge from her , I feeI she should have not changed me for her mistake.. twice!!!! read more

Ok... so I impulsively decided to get my hair cut here at the first available appointment. Upon arrival my hairdresser was 20 minutes late finishing up another client. As I sat in the chair I showed my stylist a few ideas with some pictures. She does a messy middle part that was not straight . She cut way too much it was uneven and just plain careless. My hair can now only be worn with a middle part. I don't usually wear a middle part which is just uncomfortable. Well lesson learned... don't get your hair cut from here last minute. She did a fair job just the technique and and basic details were so far out the door. read more
