The woman in the store was pretty unfriendly. I'll take my money somewhere I feel welcomed .

Sisters is a town filled with galleries, boutiques and antiques, but this place is better than most…read moreof its neighbors. They specialize in hand carved furniture (bed frames, dressers, rocking chairs, etc.) in pine and juniper. The item that keeps bringing me back are the juniper lamps. It is a gorgeous naturally twisting wood with several textures and no two are the same. This always reminds me of someone describing how they carve a statue -- you just remove the extraneous material to reveal the true structure beneath. They also have a lot of whimsical items - birdhouses made out of boots, painted saws and wood hammers with funny sayings. ------------- Update: They moved across the street to 121 W. Cascade Ave. I've submitted the correct address to Yelp to update the business listing.

My boyfriend came in here today and was just looking at stuff while I was next door getting some…read moresweaters. He was the only one in the store and while he was about 10 feet away, the husband (owner?) says loudly to his wife "If you see him stealing, just holler at me.". Mind you, he does very well financially and could have bought anything he wanted in that store. But he's a humble tradesman and still wears his Carhartt's everywhere. I guess he doesn't fit in with the typical REI crowd in Sisters anymore, talk about profiling. It's a shame we are now treated this way, I remember this town being a low-key country town. Won't be returning.
