I had scheduled a class for my family. It was then decided by my family that we would not be able to attend that particular class. I canceled 4 days in advance. Painting with a Twist cancelation policy is 24 hours notice. I have been fighting with them for well over month to get my money back. I have been on the phone with them weekly, and went in person. I keep getting the run around about why I haven't been refunded. A few days ago, I called and spoke with Heather the owner and told her I would be stopping in for a cash refund, as she can't seem to refund my card. She flat out refused, and when I got angry with her, she had a nerve to tell me to calm down. I'll be paying a visit to the HHPD for theft. read more

LOVE IT HERE. If you've ran out of things to do in town, check this place out. I'm far from being artistic, but I sure felt like it leaving the studio! The staff is incredibly friendly and they were very helpful. I also thought they were pretty funny too. I enjoyed the fact that even though we were slotted for 2 hours, they don't make us feel rushed. I am very impressed with this place. They offer a 16x20 canvas, 24x36 canvas, and 2 different sizes of wood plank boards. You can add glitter/gems as an add on to your station as well. If you're trying to decide whether to get the small/larger size canvases, I felt like the 16x20 canvas was more than enough for me. I found my self having to paint over some sections again to make the paint look less translucent. I would've felt a little behind having more surface area to cover with the larger size. This was SO much fun. And simple to do. I don't paint. I've never been able to paint. Can't draw a straight line if you paid me. But...I painted on a canvas today...while drinking wine! I've been wanting to do this forever and finally got a chance to while on vacation. The painting was pretty but simple. Our instructor Bailey was sweet, helpful and funny. She was able to wrangle our lively group of patrons of all ages and skill sets. We even had a chance to win a painting from one of their artists (my nephew won!), and a swag gift (my daughter won a pop socket!) My absolute favorite location amenity was the gif station. We had a pre-wedding party at the Harker Heights Painting With a Twist. This was my first time at that location. We had such a great experience. There were 7 in our group and we had pre-selected 7 different paintings to do. I had always done a group painting where everyone painted the same thing. I wasn't sure how this would work but was pleasantly surprised. Our canvases had our chosen painting sketched and a paper plate with the correct paint with a selection of brushes and printed handout of instructions. This took all the stress completely out of doing it "alone". They had instructors walking around who were available to help if we needed them. Went this weekend with a group of friends. Very cute sunflower painting, but it was sooooo rushed. I didn't bring any wine (because I just didn't feel like it on a Sun afternoon), but even if I had there would've been no time to sip! We were told we had already went over the time and most of us got kicked out with out being finished. The group in attendance was exceptionally larger than expected but it was very fun and everyone seemed to enjoy their time. There was a screen projecting live feed of the canvass which was helpful for us who were vertically inclined and seated in the middle of the room. There was a good variety of music playing at a perfect volume in the background and it was funny to hear people singing along in a whisper. This place is great for birthdays regardless of your age. I went to a class with my 7 year old son; he absolutely loved it. They have a calendar on their website where you can see the painting for that particular class. I also went for my bosses birthday. They let you bring food and wine. Classes get full so make sure you purchase tickets ahead of time. I've been there twice and both instructors were great. I definitely recommend. read more

Had an amazing first time here at Painting with a Twist. It cost 35$ for the two hour class that I went to. The instructor gives you step by step instructions on how to paint the picture of the day. They take it slow too, so you don't need to worry if you're a beginner, everyone can paint at their own pace. The instructor Kristin was fun and energetic. I was invited with a small group not knowing what to expect and we had an amazing time! We had the pleasure of Heather being our instructor, who led a fanatic class. She was extremely artistic, positive, and patient with us and even included plenty of fun games in between the painting periods. She allows you to follow along with her step by step and create a master piece, but you are also allowed to be creative as possible with your canvas. There are different themes each time so you can comeback and have an entirely different experience. The staff as a whole are extremely helpful and the drinks are great, but you can also bring your own bottle, which I do recommend to increase your creativity. We went on a date and it was a perfect opportunity to continue to make awesome memories together. The instructors were entertaining as well as helpful to ensure that we enjoyed the experience while producing something that we could potentially add to our decor. We had many laughs while learning something new...well at least for me. The only downside... they didn't answer the phone or return our call when an issue occurred and we wanted to reschedule...days before the 24hr cancellation window.
