My daughter celebrated her 21st birthday in Fredericksburg, and when she was planning her trip, came across The Yellow Door Studio. We were a group of 7, so we reserved a 2 hour slot for us to go in and paint before heading to one of the wineries. I'm very artistically challenged; however, we were given very detailed directions, great tips and suggestions, and by the end of our class, even I actually had a nice painting! The Yellow Door is run by an efficient, professional, very talented and friendly staff that hosts wonderful art instruction workshops for all ages and levels of artists. We've had great fun with groups of women at Art and Vino and my children have loved the birthday parties they have attended there (plus the mothers of the birthday child swear it's the easiest party ever)! We walked in and were greeted warmly by Jen who had a genuine smile on her face we could see over the COVID required mask! She took the time to ask us questions about ourselves and made us feel immediately welcome. She was detailed in her painting instruction while still leaving room for each of us to infuse our own personality into our paintings. I had never done the Art and Vino thing before, so I wasn't entirely sure what to expect. I went with a group that I work with, so that made it really fun.
