Had a fun experience as with most pain n sip nights! As always, taking a few steps back, squinting one eye and then the other, the painting doesn't look all that bad. Our instructor was really kind and tried to make the session as light hearted and fun as he could. He even had a interactive paint session on the back of the canvas but ultimately resulted us in finishing about 15 minutes behind. Instructions weren't the clearest and I felt like the staff who was supposed to help in the background wasn't the most keen. But it was still a blast and I would do it again! read more

Went to a class today where we painted a neon glow in the dark snowman. From the moment we walked in, we were greeted warmly by Joshua and then led to a dark room to paint. Sydney was our instructor and she was awesome. She kept us engaged throughout and was so nice to my son who is 5 and asks A LOT of questions lol. Both of them were helpful throughout the process and made tweaks without critiquing. I loved how patient and sweet they were with my son as well. The only thing that kind of was annoying was the fact that you couldn't really see what Sydney was doing sometimes. I know at other locations, they broadcast the instructors movements on TV. Maybe that could be something that would be helpful. Overall we loved it, my son's already planning our return!! read more

Fun time! I would have given a 4th star if more covid precautions were in place. Staff: 4 stars Wes is a good instructor and kept us entertained. The studio owner is nice. Safety: 1 star I wish it were more distanced and masks were enforced. Additionally, there was one "game" we played in which they asked all attendees to walk around and vote on everyone's painting -- strangers should not be mingling physically! I stayed in my seat for this portion of the evening. Music: 4 stars Good mix that should have kept everyone pleased. Mia, the owner, and the artist guide, Jake were total gems. The business is located in the Marsh Creek Shopping plaza. It is hidden, but once you find it you will never miss it again. A FABULOUS NIGHT! I had so much fun yesterday at Painting with a Twist. My friend and I wanted to meet up for a chill girls night so I searched events online and found this ad on Facebook. This particular night was "Galentines" themed. As are most sip and paint studios guests are encouraged to BYOB, however this night we were treated with complimentary champagne, mini cheesecake bites and chocolate strawberries. How cute! :) Mia is the owner of the studio and she is so incredible sweet! She was very welcoming as soon as I walked in the door. You can just tell how she's a genuinely kind person and wants to make sure everybody enjoys their experience at her studio. Our art class was led by an artist named Rosa. She was too funny with a bubbly personality. She kept the atmosphere so fun and carefree! It was very easy to follow her steps to create our paintings and she often walked around to check our progress and gave helpful pointers. Mia also incorporated a cute little game while we were waiting for a portion of our paintings to dry. It was similar to pin the tail on the donkey. We took turns spinning in circles a few times, put a blindfold on and had to walk towards a painting and place a wine glass cut out as close we could to where it should be placed on the painting. The paintings took about 2 hours to complete which seemed like the perfect amount of time for this experience. We walked away with pretty pictures of heart shaped flowers in mason jars! I really enjoyed my time here. I would totally recommend checking this studio out!! read more

It was a fun experience for a person like me who has limited art skills. We were met at the door by Kate and Sydney who made us feel at home from the start. They seemed to compliment one another with their work experience. The music being played in the background was a great blend. You could hear people singing or humming through out the evening. I surprised my boyfriend with the paint your pet class. We absolutely love our dogs and I had been wanting to get pet pop art but it's so expensive. So when I saw this class I jumped at it for a day date with my boo. We had such an amazing time! Cat (who taught the class) was so personable and funny. Everything, from planning to painting, went so smooth and I'm incredibly fortunate to have worked with a company that prides themselves on a great customer experience. Kimberly, the owner, was involved in the whole production and was there to make sure our team had a great time. Our painting instructor, Connor, was so kind, patient, and super comedic! We were a tough crowd, but he got everyone going and had us laughing the entire time. Talented in more than one way! We especially enjoyed the little game we played during our break. Connor really got into it and we all had a good laugh while we hair-coptered his way through the game's final song. A great find in the Sandy Springs area. Good website where you can pick which painting you'd like to do, register for a date / time & then paint! Was my first time at this location, however I've been to other similar setups. Our instructor Conner was knowledgeable & kept people engaged in the process. We had quite a few first time painters & everyone seemed to have a great time. One cool feature of this location is they've setup a TV on the far wall so one can see the painting the Instructor is doing. I tend to go my own way, but this is a key feature for folks that are newer in my opinion. Also the quality of the brushes provided is above average. Note: it is byob (beer/wine only in regards to alcohol) if you choose. Edit: Sodas/water are ok too, of course! All in all fun time (especially considering my wife & I haven't done a paint outing in awhile b/c of covid). Recommend!! read more

I have been back twice now for the painting your pet class with Connor. Me and my friends all came and had so much fun. I'm getting better with each class. Connor is a wonderful instructor. I always tip him before I leave, everyone should! He goes above and beyond to make the class so fun. I am going to keep coming each month for the paint you pet class and maybe others too. It's just so fun! Vlad my PitBull, who unfortunately died a few weeks ago is my current painting. I think it turned out pretty good. I'm proud of it. I am going to have to redo Firefly's it did not turn out great but it was my first time. I'm getting better, I will do her justice next time. read more

This is my second time painting at PWT and this experience was just as great as the first one. Although this was my first time to the Sandy Springs location it was such a great vibe. Upon walking in, I signed in and met the owner Mia which is a very sweet lady. The studio was very spacious with lots of painting on the walls. Once everyone was settle in, she introduced her self and told us about the fun rules of the studio. They had everyone name written down on the table letting you know where to sit. My instructor was Shawn and he was such a breath of fresh air. He was very helpful, he was everyone "therapist" as they call it. He even played musical cork with us to get us off our feet. ( I found this interesting) The music was a vibe in itself from start to finish. I can see myself coming here to de-Stress He also mention that they do paint your pet and all you have to is send in a photo of your fur baby and they will sketch it for you! I came to Painting with a Twist for a Bachelorette party. Since the idea of painting and drinking came out I was truly interested. I paint every once in awhile but I've never had a class as such. The class was about $30.00 which includes a canvas, smock (you can't keep the smock), paint, two brushes (a small brush and a large brush), an instructor, and an assistant. *Theme: Black Girl Magic When we walked in we were instructed to bring out wine bottles in and place them on a metal table, because bottles aren't allowed at the painting stations. However you can bring your cup over to drink as you paint (careful... mind your cups as you are painting and drinking. I almost drunk the dirty paint water). The basic paints were sitting in front of us but we had to wait for brushes and more napkins to be passed out before we began. So, the class took awhile to start. The wait felt like forever. Our instructor was extremely interactive and positive. She even told a couple of jokes while we painted. We painted large areas first and ended with the smaller areas. The session seemed to file by, but I didn't appreciate this part as much because the paintings were allowed to properly dry. Without adequate drying time many of the drawings had streaks throughout the paintings. When majority of the painting was done everyone was instructed to stop and come to the front of the building. We played a brief game to allow the painting to draw. The experience was decent but for more experienced painters it's not something I would opt to do again. Overall the class deserves a C. The instructor was amazing, the class was fun, the location was nice, and the class offers Saturday classes to come back and finish unfinished paintings. Pitfalls, the start of the class took a lengthy amount of time, the price is a little pricey in comparison to the price of the materials and a BYOB service (bring your own bottle/wine isn't included in the price), and the actual painting felt rushed and I had to leave with a damp painting. read more

What may seem impossible to paint at first will slowly unravel in front of your eyes as the class progresses. They provide you with all the colors you need to paint your piece along with 2 brushes and a huge water cup. Went for date night with my boyfriend! This was such an AMAZING experience! Everything was so smooth and everyone enjoyed all of the activities and talking! This was my first time at this specific PWAT location as I've patronized another PWAT locations OTP. Nonetheless, Yolisa (the artist) and Mia (the owner) were fabulous! Mia met everyone at the door and took their temperature and provided hand sanitizer. It was explicitly stated that while inside the studio, masks must be worn by all and it was enforced. Yolisa's playlist was awesome and her humor & patience was truly appreciated! It was a BYOB situation with cups & a cork screw provided. Wow we had such a great time at this place. I'll start by saying I'm surprised to see that this place had been here for over a year. I literally love around the corner and was driving home in traffic one day and saw it I thought I discovered something new until I saw these older reviews. The whole painting and sipping concept isn't new but I love the twist this place put on the experience. We walked in right before the class started. Late because of him as usual. The instructor and assistant were loads of fun. The laughs and the drinks were flowing throughout the night. The twist they added was the games we played. I'm not gonna ruin it but we played 2 games and that made things even more fun. I'm the end we all took a picture together and I was really happy south my work. read more

Tonight was my first time to try my hand at painting a canvas and I had a good time. The instructors were very positive and very involved with everyone in the class. Everyone got a lot of individual attention. The class lasted for two hours, with plenty of breaks to allow for a sip of wine and to allow the coats of paint to dry. During the breaks we played a couple of very fun games. Everyone in the class seem to be very engaged during the painting and the breaks. My only disappointment was that even though I followed the instructors instructions, and my painting looks very much like his in the end, my painting did not look like the example that was given in the advertisement. It felt like the instructor may not have painted the original painting. I would recommend this as a fun night out. Good to do by yourself or with the group. read more
