Wall Automotive is NOT that kind of place. The owner Bryan, as well as the men who work there, are consummate professionals and deeply respectful. It feels more like I am dropping off my car at my Uncle's house than a business. On the day of the install, the tech calls and said "I dont have the parts, they didn't tell me I needed them." Ok, very frustrating, but I rescheduled AND called back to CONFIRM that they knew what vehicle they were replacing. They said yes, all set. Then, on the morning of the second appointment, the tech called me and said, "Okay, so it will be $651." Yes, almost THREE HUNDRED DOLLARS more. I called the office and the guy said, "well, it's an FJ Cruiser and it needs special parts." Well no kidding, you knew that from the beginning! What an absolute joke and waste of my time. I bought a 2001 TJ Sahara in mint condition and to protect my investment I then immediately brought…read moreit to the 4x4 Place to treat the frame with Por-15 to prevent rust. It took several weeks for the job to be completed and when it was finally done it looked like someone had merely painted the frame with black paint and many places reflected only a light overspray. I was unfamiliar with the process so I didn't know what to expect but Andrew seemed like a nice guy who is very experienced and respected so I just trusted that they did the job correctly. I deeply regret that decision. I drove the TJ only on weekends and almost always on city streets but not long afterward every part of the frame was so badly rusted that it wasn't safe to drive. I was diagnosed with cancer a few years ago so I didn't have the time or money to replace the frame while undergoing treatment but being able to drive it again with the top down was on my bucket list. Unfortunately, I realize now that replacing the frame will be much more expensive than I thought it would be so my TJ will need to be sent to the junk yard.
