We also now know there are several truck stops further down on Interstate 78. We came to this Exxon to get gas after 10PM, and everything was dark. The attached Dunkin closes at 8PM apparently, and I would treat those as the correct hours. I hope this review helps people avoid stopping here when low on gas, and we learned some lessons from this one.

In need of gas, a restroom, and a place to stretch my legs in the middle of the night after many hours at the wheel, I found myself pulling off the highway with the promise of a 24-hour gas station. That is in fact, what I found at this location some ways off the main highway but none-the-less, offering what I needed. I pull up to a pump and an attendant exited promptly to pump my gas. Great! I'm the only car in sight. All the while, I'm fiddling with the interior lights to search for the fuel door release. It's late, I'm in a car I'm driving for the first time, and I'm having difficulty locating what I need. I briefly apologize as the attendant arrives to the car. They quickly reply with an incredibly snarky comment chiding me about my apparent inexperience with how to handle myself at a gas station. I'm tempted to bite back but know that in New Jersey, I'm not allowed to pump my own gas. I instead remind him that I'm from a state where I'm fully capable (and allowed) to pump my own gas minus the disrespect. Bathrooms could use a once over; no toilet paper stocked during my visit. Small convenience area. Dunkin Donuts on-site (not 24-hours like the station itself). Ample parking lot. Would have been a better experience with different staff.

My kids love a drivethru car wash, and for years, we've come over here to get the basic wash…read more You pull up, throw your car in neutral, and it pulls you forward as your car gets sprayed, soaped, battered by those rubbery things, and then dried. Then a couple of very energetic men wipe down your car with urgency to make sure it's dry, and they've got all the spots. Honestly, it's an excellent service for $12.50. However, this past week I decided to make my wife happy (not my normal MO), and go for a more comprehensive wash including vacuuming and wiping down the interior. I had to do it without the kids, because it involves taking the car seats out, and they don't get to watch from the inside which is the only reason they like it. This was literally only the second time in my life I've had this done. Because when I was a kid, I (1) didn't care about how my car looked and (2) I didn't have any money. (Although, getting it detailed may have helped keep me out of trouble and entirely avoid a confusing conversation with my father about him finding what he called "grass" on the floor of the car. I don't call it grass, and actual grass is entirely acceptable to find on the floor of a car.) And then I didn't have a car, because I lived in NYC, and cars are expensive and a pain in the ass. But then I had kids. And kids need lots of things, like cars to take them places. And kids ruin everything, including your car. All this is a long-winded way of saying, if you want your car to look like you don't have disgusting little monsters sitting in the back, actively throwing and mashing various edible items into and between your seats...this is a good spot. The other time I got the car detailed I went to a fancy, super-exclusive spot that charged me literally hundreds of dollars and my car was PRISTINE when I got it back. Cleaner than it was when we bought it. Here at Ultimate, I paid $50, and it was ALMOST as good. Not perfect, but really a great value. Best of all, it only took 25 minutes (during which I got some excellent tacos at El Tenampa a block away) instead of four hours. Efficiency is the name of the game here. My wife now demands that we do this quarterly.

1-Star: Do yourself and your vehicle a favor and avoid this place at all costs. If you care about…read moreyour car, do not bring it here. Tim Chesson does nothing other than argue with reviewers. The business was only reputable before Pete Chesson died. The son destroyed the business reputation and only cares about public perception and not operational quality. The staff is extremely rude, unprofessional, and treats customers and their vehicles with no respect--revving engines needlessly and improperly guiding cars onto the track, which leads directly to wheel and front bumper damage. They also recklessly spray harsh wheel cleaners that get trapped behind fenders and badges, causing chemical damage, all while falsely claiming their "soft" materials won't scratch your paint. The daily operations are a complete disaster. The manager routinely misdirects traffic, forcing cars into two lanes, which inevitably causes chaos, bottlenecks, and arguments between drivers getting cut off. Even when you do get in line, expect to wait an hour just to get through 5 cars because the staff operates with absolutely zero urgency. To make matters worse, the employees are incredibly immature and openly talk disrespectfully about customers right in front of them. When you bring up complaints about the damage or the service, management ignores you. It took this business a full year just to submit a basic Ceramic Pro warranty claim for my vehicle. When it was finally done, I was told it would be "re-sent," yet the warranty start date is today. When you try to hold them accountable, they literally respond to professional complaints with sarcastic emojis via text message. Even worse, as shown in the attached texts, they will actively hold your paperwork hostage and refuse to submit your warranty until you agree to 'sort out' your negative Google reviews, all while dodging questions about paying for the bumper damage they caused. The owner seems far more concerned with fighting people in the review comments than actually fixing their broken operation. Save your money, save your paint, and go anywhere else. Tim and Jonathon need adult supervision.

I'm so impressed with this place that I've sworn never to take my car to another place again... or…read moreto even wash it myself! Buckle up (see what I did?! ...I'm not even sorry.) because it's story time. We first took my wife's Jeep Wrangler JK Unlimited to the Autowash because we have 3 fuzz ball dogs and a baby on the way. We'd tried in the past to vacuum out the hair, but it's so woven into the carpets and seats, that it's all but a lost cause. We didn't have high expectations, and figured, at best, they would give it a good washing and clean out the loose hair. We did the full detail... and I've never seen anything like it! The car was spotless. Literally, the mud stains on the soft top (inside and out) from years offroading were gone! That hair? ALL GONE! We bought this Jeep new in 2007, and it hasn't been this clean ever. If cleaning this Jeep as well as they did was the ONLY thing they did, I'd still give them 5 stars. Fast forward to a few weeks later. Thanks to losing MY car (a 10 year old C-RV. RIP, my reliable, sweet, distinguished old lady) to the Meridian Trench-esque battle that is the turnpike, we bought a black Audi Q5 as a replacement. After driving it around a bunch and getting it covered with pollen and dust, I decided to run it through a touchless car wash. What I didn't realize at the time is that the concentration of chemicals in the "touchless" car washes is high, and the "water" spots, that I would assumed would dry, were actually etching their way into the paint and window glass. This REALLY shows on a black car. There's no hiding it. We made multiple attempts to re-wash it, re-wax it, etc... to no avail. Out of frustration, I drove it to the Autowash, where I met Dan (who I believe is the owner). I think he could sense my desperation, and walked outside with me, walked me around the car, and explained what he would do to take care of everything. I was hopeful, and we made an appointment for that weekend. I dropped it off Saturday AM and spent the next couple of hours biting my nails, but was overwhelmed with the work they did. It looked shinier and cleaner then it did when I bought it, and the spots were totally gone! It's like a small miracle, and I left with a HUGE smile on my face. Like I said, I plan on only bringing our cars here. They clearly take a lot of pride in their business, and it shows in the care they gave to both of our cars. I'll never make the mistake of "touchless" again... get it done right, by professionals, the first time. It's worth it!

Both of our cars came back scratched in multiple spots and my front plate was ripped off. The interior was barely touched, dirt everywhere on the doors still and they didn't even vacuum the rugs under the weather mats or in the back seat, same exact outcome for my husband's. We both tip heavy always and I'm disappointed we wasted $ there. The workers must be lazy anymore and the owner clearly doesn't care. I have to add we also witnessed 2 other people unhappy with their wash for interior/exterior today. Typically I would say everyone has a bad day but this has happened the last 3 times I've been. They've lost a loyal customer.
